09/06/2026: We came for the partial opening of Luna Park. We were generally satisfied, but many attractions were closed even though we were told everything was open… Avoid the ghost train; it's nothing interesting and much too fast. However, I recommend the pirate ship. The woman was very friendly, and the ride was more than adequate!

17/04/2026: We were lucky enough to be upgraded to the suite...very functional with a shower and a whirlpool bath. THANK YOU! The restaurant offers Mediterranean cuisine, but for us older folks, it was a bit too heavy, especially in the evening. They offer children's menus, which would be great, especially in the evening. Consider a lighter menu: soup and various vegetables, as well as a dairy dessert or a piece of fruit! Something to think about for seniors.

16/04/2026: The hotel is really only usable in the summer and when the sun is shining brightly enough. There's no heating system, and I wouldn't want to subject the air conditioning to the heat. When there's a storm, which we've had for the last 10 days, showering in the morning is a challenge. Despite this, I love the hotel because of its location by the sea and the Etang de Thau. Even though I ventilate constantly, there's always a musty smell in the room, as the moisture only dissipates when I ventilate vigorously. The air has improved somewhat since I started ventilating. The staff is helpful and friendly. However, there are language barriers with English. My French has improved as a result, which has made communication easier. Translator apps make life easier. The food is excellent and worlds better than at the neighboring hotel. Although there are days, like today, when a terrine with a baguette is dinner. The restaurant is closed Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday evenings (off-season). They baked the baguette especially for me and served it free of charge. A nice touch. After 10 days, I'm practically part of the furniture. A great starting point for exploring Sète and visiting wineries to buy wine. Located almost perfectly on the motorway, which is virtually silent. Petrol is 20 to 40 cents cheaper than in Germany. Addendum: What I don't understand is why I haven't received a reply to my emails. 1. I forgot to bring a green fleece jacket and asked if it could be sent to me at my expense. No response. 2. Upon arrival, I had to pay in advance for the 10 days of my room booked through booking.com. Furthermore, my booking didn't seem to be on file. This was probably also due to language difficulties. For such basic matters, a hotel should have sufficient English language skills. Since I've recently traveled extensively throughout Europe and never had any language problems, this was quite annoying at times. My travel destinations were Sweden, Denmark, France, and Italy.

19/04/2026: My family and I ate there, and the experience was disappointing. The place is small and cramped; we were practically sitting next to our neighbors at the next table, and it was very noisy. The staff weren't particularly friendly, except for one young man whom I thank. The galettes were bland and tasteless. Being from Brittany, I've never eaten galettes like that. I had to add salt and pepper, which is unthinkable. The only positive point: the desserts. I think you should go there just to try them, but that's about it. Disappointed with this experience.

18/04/2026: Kreisker crêperie is one of, if not the best, crêperies in Montpellier. The crêpes are delicious and generous, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is relaxed. I highly recommend it if you're looking for a good crêperie in Montpellier!

22/05/2026: A very bad experience at this bar. I was served a drink with mold in it, and when I say mold, I also mean a very short bartender who spat in my drink. Unfortunately for him, I saw it right away. I even kept the evidence! This is completely unacceptable from a hygiene standpoint. When I reported it, the staff's reaction was inadequate. Frankly, this seriously calls into question the cleanliness of the establishment and the quality of the service. I will not be returning and I strongly advise against going to this place.

25/05/2026: Having come alone before, this was a new experience in a group. Just as perfect! The owner and staff were incredibly kind and professional.

06/05/2026: A strange, offbeat establishment where we experienced a rollercoaster of emotions. We were greeted with a half-board package that included cold meals and breakfast from the refrigerator. Everything was of mediocre quality, with many processed products. We didn't see a soul until the following evening when dinner was disappointing. Breakfast the next morning was plentiful but still very much processed. The Spanish couple who greet and serve you are just seasonal workers who do their best but aren't very professional; sometimes it's difficult to make yourself understood. Half-board is expensive and should be avoided at all costs.

02/05/2026: Disappointment with this order of two kebabs at €9 each. Despite the positive reviews, the filling was woefully inadequate. There was only one piece of tomato in one and two in the other. The value for money was poor. I do not recommend this establishment.

I highly recommend this fantastic and quirky bar if you want to laugh and soak up the sun. The food is very good and plentiful! The tapas are delicious and well-presented.

23/04/2026: Unacceptable service at New Wave. Upon our arrival around 5 p.m., the first waiter stopped us at the entrance to ask why we were there, even though I was accompanied by my mother-in-law, who was on crutches and already had difficulty getting around. I explained that we wanted to have a coffee. He replied that the machine was already off because "it's quiet" and that they would be closing soon, despite it being the holiday season and the terrace still being occupied. It was at this point that he suggested we go to the bakery for hot drinks. We eventually accepted the cold drinks he then offered us. Once inside, a second waiter asked us to sit outside because they were starting to bring in the chairs, with absolutely no consideration for my mother-in-law's situation. Between this inconsistency, complete lack of professionalism, and absence of empathy, we decided to leave. An unacceptable experience.

10/06/2026: DO NOT STAY HERE. We were not expecting much given the bad Google reviews and the low cost (although still close to €100 a night). But the unthinkable happened: around 9:30am someone opened our room door without knocking. We were absolutely stunned and the cleaning person didn’t even apologise or anything, they just closed the door back and left. Plenty of other choices in the city — don’t waste your time here.

06/06/2026: I don't understand why the rating is so low. The hotel has been completely renovated, the rooms are spacious and clean, there's a dressing room, and an entrance vestibule that isolates you from the noise of the hallway and bathroom. The beds are comfortable. The location is perfect for anyone wanting to explore the city; it's right in the city center, next to Polygone shopping center, and the Place de la Comédie parking lot is just steps away. The breakfast is simple but excellent. I recommend this hotel; it deserves a higher rating.
