12/11/2025: Lunch break after mushroom picking was ridiculously expensive at €40 per person including an aperitif, and the food was very basic. It's a shame, the setting is nice, but it's a tourist trap.

12/11/2025: The welcome and service were extremely unpleasant. The waiter snatched our menu while we were looking at it. He then proceeded to speak rudely to us without any apparent remorse. Avoid this place if you want to have a good time…

01/11/2025: Very disappointed. I used to come here regularly, but the quality of the food has really gone downhill. There was practically nothing on my plate. I ordered cuttlefish (supions), and I had to search for the few pieces I could find, along with two small potatoes cut into quarters and a sour tomato sauce. Not great. For dessert, I had a tiramisu. Meh! Runny and tasteless. It's a shame, it used to be very good. I won't be going back.

14/02/2026: In the warm scent of freshly baked bread, under the neon lights that hum like a docile swarm, there's Lenny. Lenny from Subway Lenny in the green apron, Lenny with hands as swift as swallows in summer. He works while the city is still yawning, when the shop windows have the pale glow of rushed mornings, when the first customers enter with hunger still clinging to their eyelids. And already his fingers are dancing. They glide over the Italian bread, open the crumb with a sure hand, lay the lettuce like a fresh rain, line up the red tomatoes like miniature suns, dash the mustard into golden flashes. He's fast, Lenny. Not fast like you're running away, but fast like you're in control. His hands know the choreography: cheese, ham, turkey, avocado, a drizzle of sauce, a smile offered. The knife never trembles, the scales never waver, the paper curls into a perfect cylinder as if the sandwich were a secret to be shared with the world. And Lenny is handsome. Not handsome like a mannequin frozen in a shop window, but handsome like a focused young man, with a rebellious lock of hair that sometimes falls over his warm forehead, and which he pushes back with the back of his wrist without stopping work. He has clear eyes —eyes that truly listen when a customer hesitates— and a mouth made for smiling, even when the line stretches all the way to the swinging door. At noon, it's a whirlwind. Orders fly: "Teriyaki chicken!" "No onions!" Double cheese!" The tickets pile up like nervous autumn leaves. But Lenny doesn't falter. He speeds up. His hands become wind. His gestures, music. It's as if he's weaving something invisible and precise, a tapestry of sure movements where each element finds its place. He works well. Not well in the way one ticks a box, not well in the way one pretends, but well with that silent pride that straightens the back and illuminates the shoulders It must be increased urgently.

11/03/2026: After several years of frequenting this restaurant with very positive experiences, our visit in February was disastrous. Both the food and the service were terrible. We often come to Sète, but we will never set foot in this restaurant again.

22/11/2025: Terrible bar. The blonde woman who thinks she's the owner inflates the prices of drinks; she's a con artist who verbally and physically abuses her customers. Avoid this bar at all costs; that woman is crazy.

01/02/2026: A delicious seafood salad overlooking the sea, under a beautiful sun. All the ingredients for a very pleasant lunch. A very friendly welcome, professional service, and a superb location.

16/09/2025: Excellent deli food with a different menu every day: meat or fish. The 🥘 is very good, and the rotisserie is great, with plenty of choice and generous portions of fries to go with it.

06/09/2025: Chicken with potatoes isn't too bad for the price. On the other hand, the fish paella costs over €15 per kilo, or when served, they give you a lot of rice and not enough shrimp, mussels, etc. It's very expensive for overcooked, undercooked rice. The dish is bland, but the bill is steep.

15/02/2026: We had a wonderful dinner celebrating our 20th Valentine's Day at Le Cristal restaurant this year, and it was a real treat. We received a warm welcome. Despite the Valentine's Day dinner rush, the service was friendly and efficient. This was our third meal here, and each time it has been a delight. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

12/02/2026: Do you eat local food everywhere you go ✈️? I try to, even though my son always fights me over this. 😅 The thing when I'm in France 🇫🇷 (and even though I'm French) is that... I don't really like French cuisine. 😅 Well, I love what's simple about it, typically what you can find at a brasserie, but I don't eat dairy so... Try to remove everything with cream, milk, butter or cheese from French cuisine and... there's not much left! 😔 OK, maybe I exaggerate... 😜 Now, try to go to the city you don't know (Béziers in this case), to find a French restaurant that offers food that I like (no dairy), that's still open at 2:30pm and that has tables available! 🫡 That's how we ended up at Le Cristal (@lecristalbistrotbeziers), without really knowing anything about it. We just walked by it and went in... well out, actually, cause we ate on the terrace. 😉 Again, simple local food: we shared an 🥩 entrecote and a 🦑 squid casserole. The entrecote was correct. I can't really complain about it but I won't remember it either. The fries 🍟 on the side were not great though... I never understand how they manage to serve bad fries... 🤔 The squid was ok too but slightly overcooked and not very tasted (probably frozen). 😐 The terrace was nice, not too close to the cars and quite quiet. Even though we were on the terrace, the service was nice, fast paced and attentive. 👏 That was an expensive meal IMO though: €50 each for 2 mains (including 1 dish of the day: the squid) and 2 coffees, for such a quality, in a small town like Béziers and on a week day is just too much. 👎 Quality & taste: 6/10 Quantities: 8/10 Atmosphere: 9/10 Originality: 5/10 Ratio price / quality: 5/10 Service: 9/10 How I felt afterwards: 7/10

15/02/2026: The food is delicious, no complaints there. The only thing that bothers me every time I come here is the restaurant's hygiene and the torn leather banquettes. They really need to address these issues.

14/12/2025: This place is awful! Since the change of ownership, it's gotten worse and worse! The pastries are frozen and disgusting, and the bread is even worse. Nothing is good! Avoid it!

25/11/2025: It's a shame they changed the recipe for the Niçoise sandwich, it's completely dry now, I only came for that sandwich.

11/12/2025: I visited this bakery twice during my vacation and was able to try both the snacks and the pastries. I have no complaints about either. The staff were patient, attentive, and offered helpful advice, which I appreciated. The portions are generous, sometimes a little uneven, but this is a testament to the homemade nature of the pastries. A special mention goes to the flan and the Tropézienne tart 🍰 – they were generous and delicious, unlike the frozen versions you find everywhere. I was able to eat in both the inside and outside, and the atmosphere and service were excellent. I highly recommend it.

09/03/2026: The place is sad and aging, the staff are not always friendly, the dining room is often dirty with the floor littered with fries and other rubbish, and the food is on par with a canteen in Baghdad!

09/01/2026: Second delivery order, the smash burger was excellent quality, it was truly delicious. I recommend it.
