You stumble upon Margaux, the delightful coffee seller from Coffea de Polygone, who explains that good coffees can be ground by them without altering the taste (electric grinders break it down more than they enhance it). So you opt for a beautiful Italian coffee maker—yes, yes, one that works on induction!—and two lovely double-walled glasses for Mr.'s espressos! And especially for his favorite: "...a rare Burmese coffee, both powerful in its initial taste, smooth in its aroma, and with a long finish." Hooray for true, discerning coffee lovers! Hooray for Margaux, and see you very soon to restock Mr., my darling. Plus, it seems they make grand cru chocolates... just saying... forget your coffee pods! If he's not happy, red flag! 😜❤️

17/02/2026: I've been a loyal customer for seven years. Yesterday, I was greeted by a cold, dark-haired saleswoman with glasses, barely smiling (surprising, since the others are usually so cheerful!). She was also speaking condescendingly to a younger saleswoman. Anyway. I went in to buy chocolate, and I paid. I decided I wanted some tea instead, and she told me the price (€21.50???). I was a little surprised, but since the tea smelled nice, I paid. I didn't even have time to ask for a receipt before she left. Oh well. I got home, and imagine my surprise to see that the tea actually cost €14.50! The saleswoman had charged me twice for the box of chocolates, even though she'd already charged me once! I'm disgusted. I used to buy all my little treats, gifts, and indulgences there. From now on, I'll go to Jeff de Bruges and Dammann Frères. PS: When I read the comments above about this seller, I think you might need to reconsider your approach?

29/08/2024: Like the vast majority of IBIS, it is a transit hotel. Despite having resolved a double charge by mistake, which was reversed by my bank, I had the misfortune of being attacked by the receptionist and then by the hotel director when I complained about the electrical risk in which I found myself in my room due to an air conditioner turned on and detached from the wall. The manager got angry for leaving a bad reference in booking, he called me a liar and dismissed the big problem of a fallen air conditioner with stressed cables. I'm not crazy and I don't accept scoldings instead of excuses. Very bad very bad very bad. Ibis never again.

10/02/2026: I bought a defrosted mille-feuille with grainy pastry cream. I asked the saleswoman if she should have told me. She said there's a small symbol indicating defrosted products: a tiny penguin or Exquimo.

04/02/2026: I came to buy six chocolate croissants with the "buy two, get one free" offer. The cashier made a mistake with the order: when I got home, I found six plain croissants in the bag. Not only were they the wrong product, but the two free croissants were missing. I paid for the six chocolate croissants, though... It's a shame about this lack of attention at the counter.

08/12/2025: Avoid this place at all costs! It's a real tourist trap since the change of management/ownership. Above all, they don't pay their employees; the tips you give are kept by the bosses and not given to the staff. Avoid this place to avoid encouraging them. Thank you.

03/11/2024: Disrespectful staff. Who almost opened the door to get us out of the toilet even though we had been there for not even 5 minutes. Uses informal terms with customers and is unpleasant. I don't recommend this bar at all. Supplement: the clientele is more than doubtful. If you are a girl, avoid!

17/10/2025: I confirm: terrible welcome! The waitress spends her time sighing and rolling her eyes when she takes the order. Dry pizzas. Overcooked, basically. And yet, we were the last customers in line, and we had made a reservation. We arrived at the scheduled time. There was no rush or unforeseen events to deal with. We didn't order dessert because we were in a hurry to leave! In short, avoid this pizzeria.

18/11/2025: Review for the club section, not the hotel. A rip-off. The security guard has no concept of respect; some training would do him no harm. On the other hand, we were warmly welcomed by the receptionist who asked if we were following the dress code (pink party). Upon arriving on the rooftop, almost no one was wearing it. Heels were required for entry, but some women weren't. Most of the women were completely in their everyday clothes, making absolutely NO effort to dress up for the event. We therefore assume these people are staying at the hotel of the same establishment. This means that if you arrive in the attire required by the establishment for the evening, you will quickly feel out of place because most of the other guests won't be following the dress code and they will look at you as if you've wandered in. Never again.
