13/11/2025: A unique place that takes you back in time. The burger with andouille sausage and fries was excellent. One small drawback: the cooking smell lingered on your clothes when you left.

17/02/2026: We just left La Florentine, what a lovely surprise!!! The galettes and crêpes are delicious! Generously filled, fluffy, simply divine! Excellent value for money considering the quality! The staff is incredibly welcoming, the decor has been freshly renovated, it's a real pleasure! We felt welcome and well taken care of. Thank you for this meal and welcome to Saint-Gilles!

26/02/2026: When you walk into the restaurant, the welcome is perfect, the smell of the wood fire is wonderful, so you're eager to try the dishes! I ordered a steak, and that's where the disappointment begins. The meat was so elastic, it was incredibly difficult to cut! And don't even get me started on eating and chewing it; I regretted it afterward and should have sent it back. I really hoped I wouldn't get sick during the night. I mentioned it when I went to pay, but there wasn't much of a reaction! No indigestion, everything turned out fine, but seriously, I've never eaten meat so elastic and tough! For this reason, my opinion is frankly mixed. I'm not sure I'll go back.

25/02/2026: We've been coming here for several years and it's always been perfect, but things have changed drastically since then. We came in January and really appreciated the waitress's attentiveness; she spontaneously offered us more sauce when she saw we were running low. A true sense of service! During our recent visit in February, again just the two of us, the experience was completely different. The waitress wasn't there. The sauce bowl was still minimal: we quickly found ourselves without sauce and with dry couscous. When we asked for more, we were brought a small bowl with a few pieces of carrot (5 or 6). After 9:45 pm, when there were only two of us left in the restaurant, we clearly felt rushed to finish. The owner, whom I found cold, was obviously waiting for us to finish before closing, even going so far as to clear the table while I hadn't finished. The result: a rushed meal in less than an hour, at 10:30 pm! And a stomach ache when we left!! The unpleasant surprise (which I only realized later) came with the bill: €4.80 charged for an extra "vegetables" corresponding to the sauce I ordered, without this being mentioned beforehand. I've always wholeheartedly recommended this restaurant to everyone I know, but this time it was a real disappointment.

16/02/2026: We went there as a couple; it was a quiet place, and the royal couscous was very generously portioned and absolutely delicious. We couldn't finish our plates! It was our first time there, but certainly not our last. I highly recommend it. We had a really great time.

10/03/2026: A warm welcome and efficient service. The setting is pleasant. Very good galettes (the serving lollipops could be warmer...😉) and excellent fish soup. I recommend it.

12/12/2025: A truly unpleasant waiter. You get the feeling you're bothering him; he speaks rudely and answers curtly, which isn't normal for someone who's supposed to be welcoming customers. With each visit, I hope things will be better, but it keeps happening, especially with older people. I feel it's important to mention this because it really spoils the experience. However, the service remains very fast and the galettes taste delicious.
