04/05/2026: Tonight, we had the pleasure of discovering this wonderful place in the heart of Saint-Malo. Even though almost everything else was already closed, the manager welcomed us with great kindness, despite the fact that there were only 20 minutes left before closing time. She served us all the dishes we wanted, with a smile and great generosity. We are truly grateful for this warm welcome. The food was delicious—a special mention for the pasta and desserts—and the manager's little touches of humor made our evening even more enjoyable. We highly recommend this establishment!

06/05/2026: A bar with fantastic vintage decor. The owner is very friendly and welcoming. A place where you feel comfortable having a drink and relaxing without being surrounded by noise. A real gem!

04/04/2026: Saturday stroll in Saint-Malo! The bar had a nice decor and the waiter was very welcoming, but everything fell apart as soon as we sat down. The bartender (presumably the owner) preferred not to sell anything rather than serve customers. There were five adults and four children in our party, and the children didn't want to drink. He made his annoyance perfectly clear: "Four drinks when there are nine of you..." And we were about to be joined by even more. The bar was empty. Bretons are generally welcoming and very friendly. He must not be one of them! And when you don't want to work... or maybe you weren't up to the standard of your establishment! Shame on him! We clearly don't all have the same definition of the word "business owner"! We ended up at Charlie's Bar a little further up the street! Great welcome there, and we ordered as many drinks as we wanted.

11/02/2026: Passing through Rennes, I was pleasantly surprised to discover this grill restaurant. The wood-fired meats are a real highlight of the restaurant's very varied menu. Don't hesitate to stop by! 😊

01/06/2026: Bad experience, the waitresses were unfriendly. They messed up the waffles in front of customers. The service was very slow. They completely mishandled the situation, even though there were very few of us.

28/05/2026: My wife and I came, and the food was very good. While the savory options weren't particularly filling, the snacks, like the Nutella, were excellent. They excel at those. Due to a mistake they made, they made amends, which was very kind. The manager was very considerate. Thank you, I recommend them.

05/03/2026: Fast food... could use one more waitress. The portions are small... buffet... the food is good, but there isn't enough choice. Prices are good for the quality.

10/06/2026: I came twice, a week apart... in the deli section, I found jars of rillettes that had expired 15 days prior! About ten jars in total... the following week, I found butter that had also expired for at least a week... and what's more, many prices didn't match the price displayed at the checkout.

27/05/2026: Unbelievable welcome. Arriving on a Sunday, we waited until 3:02 PM to enter the hotel. We were told that 3 PM is later in Brittany. We went back outside to wait for the hotel manager to deign to let us in, only for him to come back and sit near us like a friend, chatting about the weather without even saying hello. Then came the criticism of having booked through Booking.com. He then explained that Sunday was also his special day. In short, after a 15km walk, we gave up hope of getting our keys, faced with the host's nonchalance. The overly familiar manner (addressing us by our first name) and a reminder to prioritize working-class restaurants over welcoming tourists contributed to the discomfort. This discomfort was shared by those accompanying me. The hotel is poorly soundproofed. Breakfast, starting at 9 AM, is incompatible with hikers. We fully agree with the negative comments about the hotel and the manager. We do not recommend this hotel.

31/03/2026: We stopped by chance for dinner at this small, working-class restaurant. The menu was good, with generous portions and plenty of outdoor seating. The owner and staff were very pleasant. I recommend it.

24/06/2026: We are regulars, we come from Fougères to enjoy very good couscous and to deal with a restaurant owner who is not stingy with anecdotes about his country and his cuisine, we highly recommend it!

16/04/2026: Warm welcome, comfortable bed, quiet room. Relaxing shower. Very satisfying breakfast with a wide variety of choices. I had a pleasant and relaxing stay. I thank all the staff for their excellent service. A pleasant break and a great opportunity to explore the region.
