23/10/2024: Nous sommes arrivés à 3 sans réservation et on nous a proposé de choisir notre table. Salle simple, carte simple. pas d’ambiance.
Le service est correct mais si la serveuse est discrète et souriante, celui de la patronne est quasi inexistant, ce qui rend l’ambiance générale encore plus triste.
Les galettes sont bonnes, bien garnies, le cidre Tal Coat redonne du plaisir.
On sent qu’il manque ou du personnel ou une absence de plaisir derrière le comptoir.
Au moment de payer, petite attente qui nous a permis de découvrir une nervosité dans le service , des confusions, une patronne agacée toujours sans sourire …c’est bien dommage

03/09/2024: We had a great time at L’Étale d’Edgard. The service was superb, with an attentive and friendly team. However, when it came to the matured meat dishes, although the price suggested exceptional quality, I was slightly disappointed. The meat was okay, but I was expecting something truly remarkable for this price point. Overall a good experience, but maybe the meat isn't entirely worth the cost.

27/01/2025: We had a one night stop over on the way to Annecy - the hotel was perfect for what we wanted, just off the dual carriageway, the room was fine and bed was really comfortable. We arrived late at 11pm therefore they left the key in a handy box near the front door, which was great. Staying here again in Feb 2025 doing a similar trip

11/08/2024: We researched the area for a place to lunch on our journey from Britanny to Paris and this restaurant came up in the search.
Located in a picturesque setting off the main road, this restaurant beckons visitors with its remarkable architecture. There is a sizeable terrace to enjoy the weather and ample internal space. The design is modern with touches of the historic structure.
The menu is rather short and inventive. We had foie gras each, followed by duck breast and beef filet, all exceptionally good, splashed down with Crozes-Hermitage. The desserts were equally impressive.
The service was amicable and professional.
10/08/2024: A delight from start to finish, all on the terrace with a superb view, a change of scenery guaranteed!
Small downside: when will there be a ban on smoking on the terrace?! Such good dishes in an idyllic setting with the smell of cigarettes, it ruins everything!

Half of the cup was milk froth.
Half of my mug was empty.
Never seen this in a Columbus cafe.
Otherwise, a nice setting and space to relax.

29/07/2024: We stopped to eat one lunchtime by chance, everything was good, very good value for money, the waitress was super pleasant, we were able to eat on the terrace, fast service was great

The welcome (waitress and cook) is most welcoming.
The meal was hearty and the dessert for the children was just “fantastic”
Ice cream with whipped cream.....
