11/08/2026: Second time I ordered a halal chicken waffle and second time I ended up with a ham waffle... I won't be going back

06/08/2026: Ordered two waffles, one overcooked and the other undercooked. The kitchen wasn't clean, and the toaster wasn't properly cleaned. An employee was wiping his hands on his t-shirt. We were being served, but they were chatting amongst themselves about personal matters. There were no other customers at the time. Perhaps they could clean up and give the self-service kiosks a quick wipe. The three employees in total weren't working hard. Quite disappointed.

15/07/2026: We had a lovely meal here. My wife and I are on holiday from England and we enjoyed our lunch at this restaurant. It's opposite the train station, which was ideal, not too expensive, and the food was delicious.

14/07/2026: Dinner last night on the terrace. Pleasant. Friendly and quick service. Reasonable bill, I recommend it.

24/07/2026: Excellent deal: savory galettes of the day + sweet crêpe + drink. The galettes and sweet crêpes are very good. Perhaps a small sign asking customers to order before they sit down would be helpful.

21/02/2026: A fantastic surprise! Right from the start, you're immersed in the atmosphere: * The place is a bit hidden; you have to ring the bell to request access. * You have to find the code to get in (it's easy to find, even for those who are a bit timid). We arrived with Jack Sparrow, who offered us delicious cocktails. We asked him to make us cocktails to his liking, and honestly, he was amazing! They were so good! I only deducted one star for the atmosphere because perhaps the bright lighting could be toned down. But that's just a minor detail. We highly recommend it! Don't hesitate to press the button to request access.

12/07/2026: I was surprised by the quality of the food offered at breakfast and dinner. The chef is excellent and cooks primarily with local and seasonal produce! One small drawback: the rooms are very poorly soundproofed.

16/06/2026: May 2026. Hotel located on the outskirts of Rennes. They were painting when we stayed. It's a hotel that specializes in group bookings, like ours of 40 people. Dinner consisted of a salad with cheese and ham, tough pork loin (no one in our group could eat it) with spaghetti and vegetables, inedible green beans, and a cream tart. Breakfast was also very basic with little variety. The room was small, the bathroom spacious but old. They only provide one bath towel per person and no hand towels. The room fits a double bed with a comfortable mattress and pillows. It has something resembling a wardrobe, a table with a chair, and a window overlooking some hedges at the back of the building. As is common in France, the TV only broadcasts French channels.

19/05/2026: It's always a pleasure to eat at the Relais de la Gare, for the food and the very pleasant service.

05/03/2026: Fast food... could use one more waitress. The portions are small... buffet... the food is good, but there isn't enough choice. Prices are good for the quality.

27/07/2026: On our first visit to this restaurant, nothing indicated it was an Asian restaurant. There were only light bulbs on the ceiling, no decorations on the walls (no sketches, no paintings, and nothing on the windows...). Above the buffet, there were no figurines or statues representing Asian countries. The buffet itself was missing many items such as salad, fish, mushrooms, frog legs, rice, and noodles (the trays need to be repackaged). The wok and grilled dishes also lacked a wide selection.

24/06/2026: The buffet is extremely varied. The selection of sushi is really extensive and they are all delicious.

27/05/2026: Unbelievable welcome. Arriving on a Sunday, we waited until 3:02 PM to enter the hotel. We were told that 3 PM is later in Brittany. We went back outside to wait for the hotel manager to deign to let us in, only for him to come back and sit near us like a friend, chatting about the weather without even saying hello. Then came the criticism of having booked through Booking.com. He then explained that Sunday was also his special day. In short, after a 15km walk, we gave up hope of getting our keys, faced with the host's nonchalance. The overly familiar manner (addressing us by our first name) and a reminder to prioritize working-class restaurants over welcoming tourists contributed to the discomfort. This discomfort was shared by those accompanying me. The hotel is poorly soundproofed. Breakfast, starting at 9 AM, is incompatible with hikers. We fully agree with the negative comments about the hotel and the manager. We do not recommend this hotel.

31/03/2026: We stopped by chance for dinner at this small, working-class restaurant. The menu was good, with generous portions and plenty of outdoor seating. The owner and staff were very pleasant. I recommend it.

14/08/2026: Nutella doughnut, simple, effective and delicious!

14/08/2026: On each of our visits to St. Malo in recent years, we've come to enjoy the delicious doughnuts, but we were very disappointed by the significantly lower quality of the doughnuts during our visit in August 2023. A change of recipe or a change of cook? August 2026: another attempt to try and recapture the quality of the doughnuts of yesteryear, but once again, we were very disappointed. Dry and greasy doughnuts; it was their last chance, and they failed. What a shame…

14/04/2026: Nothing to complain about. We stopped on our way to our holiday destination. A warm welcome, friendly staff, helpful and attentive, and an excellent daily special. Just the kind of little restaurant we love.

10/03/2026: A €15 set menu is fine. But, with my children only having one plate of fries, the entire menu was charged, so €15 for a plate of fries—the most expensive in the world!
