04/06/2026: Very crowded, not always easy to find a seat! But the staff are welcoming!

31/05/2026: Going through the checkout with the family… the employee was anything but friendly and unhelpful!! (I'm not sure even the dishwashing sink could withstand that kind of disdain!) Two inedible rib-eye steaks, one prepared dish not served, explained three times that they were out of it, with no alternative offered other than "you'll have to go to the register." So much for the French language! So, back to the queue again, but be careful which register you went to the first time!! Otherwise, it doesn't work!! So, back to the queue again… to negotiate a new dish… pay for it and get a refund for the first one! Seriously?! Awful meal!! We know we don't come here for excellence. Luckily, the waitstaff were smiling. I didn't go there before, I know why now, and I'm happy to warn those who want to avoid such a punishment.

25/05/2026: Terrible food considering is wasn't cheap. The cous cous was not fresh, one lamb dish, the lamb was dried up and black couldn't even cut it with a sharp knife. My dish was a mix of meats sent it back because the lamb part was only bone no meat. The quantity is very poor aswell, can't imagine a grown man being happy with it. The vegetables were 90% carrot and not much else. A big disappointment. Went away feeling hungry and annoyed. I did tell the waiter so this review won't be a surprise.

28/05/2026: It's hard to believe the reviews that rank it as the best Italian restaurant in Arras. I opted for the Osso Buco of the day at €18: a dish that was two-thirds bone! As for the taste, it wasn't exactly a culinary delight; it was very ordinary. In short, I left hungry. The value for money definitely needs improvement.

18/05/2026: An excellent place, wood-fired pizzas, generously topped and full of flavor. Homemade desserts. The welcome is warm and the atmosphere very pleasant.

29/10/2025: We were told they would not cook any food when we stepped into the restaurant and we can only order those food in the tray that looked as if it has stayed there for ages…There is no customer inside the restaurant. Feel like a complete scam and a waste of time to go there….

18/01/2026: The chicken, lemon, and olive tagine had no taste, very, very disappointing… the couscous was okay, but the tagine was extremely disappointing. I don't understand how they can sell this; it has no flavor. Mine had more taste, so we won't be coming back. And the waiter wasn't very friendly; we felt like we were bothering them, even though we were alone in the restaurant.

19/05/2026: A very warm welcome as always at the bistro, I often pick up my packages with an ID card, thank you very much.

18/05/2026: A very bad experience at this café-tabac, which also serves as a parcel collection point. I came to pick up a package without a QR code and without physical ID, only a photo of my ID card on my phone. The person there refused to give me my package. What I don't understand is that during my previous visit, under exactly the same circumstances, my package was given to me simply after my first and last name were verified. The service was appalling. No greeting, no goodbye, and an extremely cold, curt, and disrespectful tone. I felt like I was being treated very rudely. The only difference between my two visits is that this time I was wearing my headscarf, whereas I wasn't on my previous visit. This difference in treatment makes me seriously question the reasons for this attitude. Living in Éperlecques, this café-tabac is often the closest parcel collection point, and unfortunately, I don't really have any other option but to pick up my packages there. I find it unacceptable to be treated this way. Respect and politeness should be the foundation of any business, regardless of the customer's appearance.

09/05/2026: We came to try Le Calice after its reopening following the change of ownership, and what a pleasant surprise! We had a wonderful time: a very warm welcome, quick and attentive service—the servers really made sure everything ran smoothly. The dishes were delicious and high-quality, with clearly well-chosen ingredients. The decor is also very well done, which made the experience even more enjoyable. We can't wait to come back and enjoy the terrace this summer! I highly recommend this place! 👍

04/05/2026: It's a disaster! Everything is disgusting! Whether it's pork, duck, or duck meat, everything is slimy and greasy, it's revolting!

24/05/2026: Closed on Fridays during town festivities. Reservation made for Saturday, door closed, no notification. Closed Sundays!!! If this restaurant is no longer in business, don't make any more reservations 😡😡

20/05/2026: I really appreciate this friendly brasserie. Unbeatable value for money. The deviled eggs as a starter are a must. I'm looking forward to trying the special "Whit Monday" menu and I hope to have the chance to try the calf's head with gribiche sauce.... A rare and welcoming establishment.
