08/01/2026: The best bar in town. The owners are lovely, the vibe is excellent, and the prices are really good. We love this place!

13/03/2026: A charming address, a magical place nestled among the fir trees and right on the slopes. Julie and her team are incredibly attentive, and it's pure bliss. A huge congratulations also to the Chef and his team in the kitchen; a culinary journey as beautiful as it is delicious. I had the pleasure of staying at this establishment last year, again this year, and my family trip is already planned for next year!

09/03/2026: The location is exceptional, the view of Mont Blanc from the rooms and terraces is magnificent. Everything is spacious and bright. A true ski-in/ski-out experience. Breakfast is very good with plenty of homemade cakes (freshly squeezed orange juice would have been a welcome addition, though). The evening menus are varied, alternating between fish and meat dishes. The cooking is perfect. We were always offered lovely desserts. Perhaps we would have appreciated a choice between two main courses. But we understand that you need to plan your supplies carefully, as you cook on-site with products that are most likely fresh. In any case, we felt a genuine desire to satisfy us and adapt to our tastes. All the staff are incredibly attentive. Julie, the manager, is very welcoming. She offers excellent advice, both about her hotel and the resort. We will most certainly return as soon as possible.

16/02/2026: A family-run bar and restaurant with a warm and enthusiastic welcome. The set menu (starter, main course, cheese/dessert) was delicious, served very quickly, with quality ingredients and very reasonable prices. We stumbled upon it by chance and left delighted! We highly recommend it.

02/03/2026: We spent eight days on a half-board basis at Fabien and Alicia's and were completely satisfied. We especially appreciated the generous and delicious homemade meals prepared by the chef. The staff is very helpful. The breakfast is plentiful (sweet and savory) with a magnificent view of the mountains. The swimming pool is a real bonus at the end of the day. Well done to the whole team, keep up the good work! Give Bernard a pat for us ;) We'll be back next year.

23/02/2026: A family stay in this charming and authentic mountain resort hotel. Alicia and Fabien, the owners, are delightful; Alicia is a true culinary whiz (a shame about the extra pounds!) and Fabien is incredibly attentive every day. All the staff are just like them: always available, smiling, and extremely kind. We were delighted with our stay and will definitely return, especially since this small, wooded resort boasts a large ski area. Best of luck to Le Caprice des Neiges! 06/02/2026: We had a wonderful week at Black Diamond. Communication with the owner was excellent and fast. We were two families (12 people in total) and stayed in the beautiful and charming apartments The Penthouse and Faisan. There was also plenty of room for everyone to eat together in the Faisan apartment. You can ski right up to the apartment, and in the morning, you can walk (a short hill) to the ski lift. Vicky & Dani were on-site, and we could reach them all week with any questions. At the end of the day, a quick text message and 45 minutes later the sauna was on. And after skiing, we enjoyed a relaxing bubble bath in the jacuzzi. The groceries were already there when we arrived on the first day (you can order them online at Super U in Bourg-Sainte-Maurice; pick-up costs €50). And every day they brought fresh bread, croissants, and cappuccinos. A real treat!

05/02/2026: Had a fantastic stay here with my partner – highly recommend. Top-quality accommodation with stunning views, and brilliant concierge service from Dani and Vicky. I was in the spa most days (hot tubs and massages were a real treat!), and being able to ski right back to the terrace is such a bonus. Would definitely return!

01/03/2026: An establishment that was recently taken over and revitalized by a great team of four friends who deserve to be known: On the restaurant/bar side: Cédric – the chef who has mastered the art of delighting our taste buds; Mathieu and Kevin – in the dining room; and Alexis – in the hotel department (I haven't experienced this aspect myself, but he's incredibly friendly and offers excellent wine advice by phone). Highlights: - Location: A charming mountain-style establishment with a warm atmosphere, in the heart of St Nicolas la Chapelle – a small, picturesque hilltop village, a stone's throw from Praz sur Arly. - The restaurant: Three rooms: the bar area, the après-ski area, and the garden room. Tastefully decorated without being overly formal. Kid-friendly and dogs are welcome. The menu apparently changes twice a year (one for winter and one for summer). In the kitchen: the chef has a real gift, possessing great creativity, with starters, main courses, and desserts that combine local specialties with a touch of exoticism, all blended together in his cooking for certain dishes. Our recommendations: Exceptional dishes in our opinion: the breaded poached egg meurette (simply divine!!! - one of their starters), then, in the local style, "tartiflette" (incredibly delicious), their "Croûte" (a must-try and perfect for "gratiné" lovers), the beef tongue in a spicy sauce (not too hot, but Mathieu or Kevin can add more spice for those with a fiery palate 😉). The fondue is best shared by two people, both Savoyard and classic. - The service: The staff is incredibly attentive from start to finish and offers excellent advice without being pushy, whether it's about the homemade aperitifs and cocktails, or the wine or other digestifs to brighten your palate ("always in moderation," of course! 🌟). The setting: elegant and very clean. The little extras: - The plant-filled dining room, which gives it a unique style and... a mountain atmosphere, which is even found in the... "The place where the king goes alone" - simple, clean, and spotless (see photos) - The water served at the table in a pitcher seems to come directly from the spring/fountain located right in front of the restaurant. Our experience: We had the opportunity to dine there twice (on the recommendation of the owner of another place worth visiting: La Ferme de Zecon - Flumet / a small mountain restaurant at the foot of the Evettes slopes - thank you Bernard, Guillaume, and Christophe for this great recommendation!) AND... we will return as soon as possible. THANK YOU Mathieu, Cédric, and Kevin for everything. We will gladly return. (A big hello from "Superman" and his team of Happy Trolls 🦸🏻‍♀️👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻)

01/03/2026: Superb chalet with apartments in the charming village of Saint Nicolas la Chapelle, which has retained its authentic character. The apartments are quiet, well-maintained, and clean, and the welcome was very warm. Restaurants and a grocery store are located at the foot of the chalet. Besides downhill skiing, there are opportunities for winter hiking/snowshoeing, cross-country skiing 20 minutes away in Les Saisies, visits to villages, chapels, oratories, and street art.

27/09/2025: A real treat at Joa Pizza! Joa Pizza is THE place to go for lovers of truly delicious pizza! The dough is thin, perfectly crispy, and, above all, homemade. The ingredients are fresh and delicious, and the recipes are perfectly balanced. The welcome is warm, the service fast, and always with a smile. You can feel the passion and expertise in every bite. The experience is always top-notch. Don't change a thing! I recommend it with my eyes closed. 🍕🔥

11/12/2025: I didn't stay at the hotel, so I don't know about that aspect. I only enjoyed the spa and had a massage. I don't know the name of the woman who gave it to me, but it was the perfect balance between relaxing and firm, relieving accumulated tension. The spa is a bit limited, but sufficient. It has a warm water pool, a hot tub, a Turkish bath, and a sauna.

28/08/2025: Outstanding in every way!! Rooms are sumptuous and beautiful. Food is delicious. And the staff, just amazing, couldn’t do enough for us, always asking if everything was okay. We loved it there!!!!

01/03/2026: A pint of Kronenbourg for €11.50 in the off-season. There's no justification for such a price.

01/03/2026: It was for my son's 26th birthday!!! We opted for three €50 menus and one €40 menu (starter, main course, and dessert)... We started with four aperitifs; just look at the attached photo of how they were served! One €8 cocktail (two fruit juices mixed together with no garnish whatsoever, deplorable). For me, a half-pint of draft beer at €6 (and guess what? 20cl tops!). Incidentally, we had the aperitifs at the same time as the main courses!! But anyway... I won't dwell on the starters; we were hungry... I've included a photo of the 250g duck breast... 150g tops, way overcooked and lukewarm (duck breast, when advertised as uncooked, should be pink!!). My daughter-in-law's was the same... you really had to be hungry! I had frog legs and had no complaints, but my wife's fried food was in homeopathic doses and completely dry! So, we didn't even have dessert… €188.50 for four people, which works out to €47 per person, and frankly, it's not worth it. The young woman and the lady who were serving were very nice, but still, that's not everything. You're going to your doom! I've been in the restaurant business for thirty years, and if my businesses have always been so successful, it's not by chance! It's a fair exchange of services, period! Wake up or stop the damage quickly... or even, call Etchebest... you have a beautiful setting, what a waste!
