20/04/2026: I've been coming to this pub for three years. Today, after my shift in a Swiss restaurant, I arrived with Swiss francs. I had to pay 23.60, so I handed over a 50 Swiss franc note and received 17 euros in change. I explained to the owner, Joëlle, that he was ripping me off and that I preferred to get my money back and exchange it myself because I was losing 12 euros, not to mention having to ask for more charcuterie on my platter because for 14.50 euros there were only four pieces of cheese and six pieces of charcuterie. They brought me the pâté en croûte at my request because I was clearly poorly served. And the owner, after all the mistakes I'd made, just turned his back on me. Having worked in the restaurant industry for 18 years, this is the first time I've seen an owner not try to find a solution to a problem. Furthermore, two girls alone in a bar that closes at 1:00 AM is unacceptable, and he couldn't care less. I want to thank Evan, Tama, and Arbesa for their courage in working or having worked at this establishment. But I will never set foot in it again. The owner of the establishment is unprofessional.

21/10/2025: Excellent value for money. They make the cheapest tacos in Oyonnax, and even if sometimes the meat inside is undercooked, overall it's still edible and tasty.

11/11/2025: Very disappointed with this place. The waitress was unfriendly, and there was no gesture of goodwill despite it being a special occasion. The bill was a bit too high for what we got on our plates. I definitely don't recommend it for a family meal!

21/02/2026: I am very disappointed with my experience at this pizzeria today. They refused to accept my full order payment using a restaurant voucher card. The welcome was particularly cold: curt, unfriendly, no smile, no sense of being welcome. When I asked if the pizzas were cut properly, the staff didn't even bother to check; they simply replied that if I asked, they would be cut. I had to check myself. This lack of attention and professionalism is regrettable. An unpleasant experience from beginning to end. It's a shame, because service is just as important as the quality of the food. The pizzas are good, but I miss the days when Rocco was there; he was very pleasant and always smiling.

30/01/2026: Disappointed by a meal that fell short of the menu's promise. While the starters seemed high-quality and generous, the stale bread foreshadowed the rest of the meal. The main course consisted of dry chicken breasts swimming in a generic sauce with crumbled morels, and a gratin dauphinois where the morels had become chanterelles. The desserts were generic and of questionable freshness. And the crepes were filled with Nutella that expired in May 2025. Disappointing and expensive for what was on the plate. Might as well eat at home.

10/09/2025: Not a very good experience. I went there as a stopover. I had a room in the attic; it was extremely hot and there was no air conditioning. When you open the skylight, you get the smell of cooking from the vents in the roof. Adequate-sized room, good bedding, spacious bathroom, but very poorly maintained and not very well cleaned. Poor hygiene. The meal was plentiful and good.

05/04/2026: Disappointed, a small Vacherin cheese in a little pot – it's the first time I've seen that – we won't be back.

30/03/2026: Hello For over 30 years we've been going to La Rolande for the food, and especially the frog legs. The service is still as professional as ever, but the food, and particularly the frog legs, isn't what it used to be… a very specific cooking method with real expertise. What a disappointment! Not to mention the vacherin served in a stoneware yogurt pot with two layers of ice cream. I'm still looking for the meringue, and what about the whipped cream on top? We expressed our disappointment to the person at the reception, who replied, "Everyone has their own tastes!" Well, no, expertise is expertise, and we don't travel miles for tasteless frog legs. And then there's the vacherin, where I was told that it was also made this way under the previous owner (which it wasn't!). On the plus side, the foie gras was excellent. It's with sadness that we'll be crossing the threshold of this establishment for the last time.

04/04/2026: Huge disappointment! Chosen because of the Georges Blanc endorsement… I really don't understand how this big name in French gastronomy can be associated with what we had on our plates! We came as a group of five (some from far away) specifically to eat frogs' legs… These Turkish frogs' legs were truly awful! None of us could eat them. They weren't hot enough, tasted like water, some were very tough, the parsley sauce was tasteless, they weren't grilled at all, and they were covered in a kind of soft, tasteless breadcrumb coating… we even wondered if they hadn't been cooked, frozen, and then reheated in the microwave when they were served… And what about the side dish? A bowl of bland white rice… real cafeteria rice. The rest was okay, nothing special. The menu was overpriced for what we got! In short, the €8 surcharge for the frogs' legs left a bad taste in our mouths. In a very generous gesture, they offered us four free coffees as compensation! Wow, what a nice gesture! Needless to say, that was our last visit. There are so many better options just a few hundred meters away.
