24/09/2026: **A major disappointment** We came to La Mère Bouvier in Montcet on Saturday, September 19, 2026, hoping to enjoy a meal showcasing local produce. Unfortunately, we left very disappointed. From the start of the meal, we noticed that one of the three advertised appetizers was unavailable. Of the two meat dishes offered, only one was actually available: the Bresse chicken. I chose the wild boar terrine as an appetizer, which I found very fatty and far too salty. I then ordered the Bresse chicken. The meat was very dry and seemed to have been frozen. The portion was also very small. As for the side dish, it consisted of five or six very thin, 5 cm diameter potato pancakes. Overall, there was very little to accompany the meal. I had also ordered sparkling water, which we had to ask for again as it hadn't been brought. However, it wasn't all bad: the bread and wine were good, and the service provided by the very young women was pleasant and attentive. We eventually expressed our disappointment. The interaction with the owner then seemed rather cold. She suggested we stop there, before the cheese and dessert, which we accepted. The cheese and dessert were indeed not charged. We appreciated this gesture on the bill, but above all, when we expressed our disappointment, we would have expected a discussion about what had gone wrong and perhaps some apologies. Unfortunately, we didn't get that. I want to clarify that this review is not written with the intention of denigrating the establishment or the people who work there. It simply reflects our experience and, above all, our **disappointment**, which was all the greater because we had come with high expectations. Personally, I don't plan to return to this restaurant and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone I know. It's a shame, because some aspects were pleasant and the setting could have offered a completely different experience.

21/08/2026: Residents of Pressiat, we enjoyed a family meal at the restaurant, whereas we usually only have drinks on the terrace because the view is simply magnificent. We weren't disappointed; the food was delicious, the staff were attentive and very friendly, and the owners were always smiling. Thank you 🙏

We had the pleasure of being served by Maxime, who made the meal even more enjoyable and gave us excellent recommendations! 01/09/2026: We came to eat expecting to find Georges Blanc's cuisine… a disaster… €23 for a slice of pâté en croûte half a centimeter thick… a veal liver that was rather good but swimming in butter, I couldn't finish it, a crème brûlée full of lumps, and I think the poultry served with blinis was the grand finale, a Georges Blanc recipe according to the waiter… I'd like him to taste them because I seriously doubt it 😂 both the taste and, above all, what was it doing as a side dish? No decoration on the plates, not even a sprig of parsley… no vegetables… exorbitant prices for food that was really not very good… the waiter was excellent though, kudos to them

22/07/2026: We've eaten pizza here three times. They are at Camping Les Gorges du Haut Bugey every Wednesday during the summer holidays. We came back every time. The price is good and the pizzas are delicious. Highly recommended. Nice guys too! A little tip: You go to the food truck first to place your order and set a time. Then you can pick up your pizza around that time. It was always ready on time for us.

17/08/2026: We were treated like royalty, even though we were just passing through. The staff were very attentive, the burgers were generously filled, and the Alpine ice cream was the best! A must-visit address in a magnificent setting!

04/08/2026: The servers were very welcoming and friendly; I was delighted to have eaten there twice during my week-long holiday. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and will gladly return for my next vacation. Thank you to the whole team! ☺️

22/09/2026: A place we used to go to (at least once every two weeks), and the last service convinced us never to return. We arrived and asked for a table by the window if possible, and then the waiter who came up behind us (and who seemed to be struggling to hold his tray with two drinks on it) said loudly, "Come on, move along, clear the way." We'd only been there for a minute. I mentioned it to the owner, who apologized profusely, and then they brought us the menus. The menus were dirty inside, with sauce on them... In short, we hesitated to leave right then and there, but we ate and decided never to come back.

04/09/2026: If you have children, the condition of the high chair and booster seat is appalling, and at the slightest noise, all the tables turn around, including the servers, and make comments. I do not recommend this restaurant for families.

15/06/2026: The hotel is pleasant and the atmosphere is friendly. The room I stayed in was clean and well air-conditioned, although a bit small. However, I found the elevator to be extremely slow, to the point where taking the stairs would have been faster. Despite this minor inconvenience, the stay was generally satisfactory.

12/06/2026: I went to the hotel to attend a friend's leaving party. He had enjoyed the hotel's outdoor terrace. The place was clean, very pretty, well-maintained, and welcoming.
