26/08/2026: The service is disorganized. We received our main course before our aperitifs. We had to ask three times before getting a carafe of water. The frogs' legs were swimming in oil. The fries were soggy. The capriccio was good, but the accompanying salad was unappetizing. The "café gourmand" (a selection of small desserts) came with tasteless pastries. It was impossible to identify the flavor of each item, and no explanation was given. There were too many people for the poorly attended service. In short, the Georges Blanc spirit needs a serious overhaul. 😅😘🤔

25/08/2026: Excellent food, superb frogs' legs. Small fried fish, salmon tartare, foie gras – everything was perfect. The service was quite quick and pleasant. And a terrace with a view of the Saône. A truly excellent place.

I often eat here and pay in Swiss francs, but today the staff refused to accept my francs and told me they'd been there for 11 years and had never seen anything like it. It's time to wake up... You're right on the border; it would be good to bring back the proper service.

09/07/2026: We often come to the casino to play the slot machines while sipping a cocktail, then head to the Lodge restaurant for dinner. We're never disappointed: a good selection on the menu, delicious dishes of high quality and generous portions. The music playlist is relaxing (not mind-numbing)...in short...long live the Hauteville casino and its team! 💫

19/05/2026: We only had lunch, not a stay, so I can only review the restaurant. The atmosphere is charming, everything has remained faithful to the era, and they still use some pewter tableware. The service is excellent and welcoming, and the dishes are traditional and carefully prepared. I recommend it.

10/06/2026: A bakery where everything is delicious: from the bread to the pastries and desserts! I highly recommend the raspberry tart. A real treat! The specialty breads are delicious. The only downside is the rather inconvenient parking lot. But at least it exists. Otherwise, just walk!

31/08/2026: Mixed review: 2.5/5 The setting is very pleasant, and on paper, everything looks appealing. We each ordered different dishes to sample a large part of the menu and give you a comprehensive review. Amuses: decent, with a special mention for the prune wrapped in bacon. Starters: after a rather long wait, the "Discovery Wine" option was served with white wine, without any explanation, only the name read from the label. The wine itself wasn't particularly interesting. The starters were good but lacked balance. The "vegetable bouquet" was actually just a simple green salad. Main courses: another wait before the arrival of the snails, which were tasty but too salty and overpowering. One small complaint: a hair was found in the dish (see photo 3). The following courses arrived more quickly and were visually appealing. The poultry was a real success, by far the best of the three dishes; it's easy to see why it's the restaurant's signature. The chateaubriand and the rack of lamb, despite beautiful cuts of meat, suffered from overly strong seasoning and a glaring lack of balance for this type of cuisine. The accompaniment to the rack of lamb (peas and espuma) was also unbalanced, with far too much espuma and very few peas. It's well known that reductions and sauces naturally concentrate salt during cooking; the water evaporates, and the flavors, including the salt, become more pronounced. But here, this phenomenon seems to have been insufficiently controlled, and the result was overly salty in several dishes. Too much salt is overkill: this cuisine sorely lacks restraint and precision. Desserts: one of the three was far too sweet, in stark contrast to the savory meal that preceded it. The other was too bland, and finally, the last one was good, but the strawberries weren't ripe enough. Service: We arrived at 1 p.m. and left at 4 p.m., which is 3 hours for only 4 courses, excessive, especially since the terrace wasn't full (26 customers at lunchtime for two waitresses and a bartender). The service was discreet, which is appreciated, but not when the wait was so long. A little more information about the wines would have been welcome. We won't be back. The basic principles of the cuisine aren't up to standard, which is a real shame given the potential of the place.

01/07/2026: On holiday in Divonne for a few days, we booked a table for that same evening. The person on the phone was very friendly. Once we arrived, the person who greeted us couldn't find our reservation (which was less than an hour old) because she was looking at the wrong day of the week… luckily, the reservation was correct. Then we had to be shown to our table. Apparently, people who arrived after us were seated before us. Then came the meal. I had ordered a starter that contained parmesan cheese, which I'm still looking for. For a €15 starter, eating eggs in a cream sauce… On the other hand, my partner had foie gras, which was very good. The side dishes weren't listed on the menu. Furthermore, the roast potatoes were reheated from the day before, and there were some unidentifiable vegetables that I didn't eat. The service was very rushed, but the waiters were very polite. Then came dessert; we had ordered a tarte tatin. It's a shame we didn't read the packaging correctly, because it said to heat it in the oven, not the microwave; otherwise, it stays cold. I do a better job at home. Luckily, we're not staying in a hotel.

25/06/2026: Avoid this restaurant. You can easily find better for less money. The service was riddled with mistakes and completely unprofessional (the waiter shouted and ran around, asking if everything was alright while yelling in your ear). He was the only one actually working, as the other two waiters were so inefficient it was laughable. The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either: a piece of aluminum foil (butter) on the fish fillet, undercooked fries, undercooked foie gras (I've never seen such thin slices), and overall quite bland (a sentiment shared by the four of us at the table). In short, it's not my style to leave bad Google reviews, but I had a terrible evening at this restaurant. When I got home, I checked the bill and saw that we were charged extra for rice on top of the ridiculously small portion served with the main course. When I say ridiculous, I mean it's just two or three forkfuls of rice, and it's surely a ploy to charge you another tiny portion for €4.60, which won't even last until the end of your meal. That was the last straw.
