25/02/2026: Quite disappointing. The frito misto had two unpeeled prawns...the lemon tart was extremely basic, with a shortcrust pastry base as hard as wood. Very expensive for what I ate...plus the other diners were noisy, rude, and inconsiderate! I'd been wanting to have lunch there for a long time, but I won't be going back.

30/01/2026: A very pleasant restaurant with a terrace, facing the sea on the promenade in Cros-de-Cagnes-sur-Mer. The welcome and service were very friendly and welcoming. Excellent Italian cuisine. A very good place to eat.

14/03/2026: We were extremely poorly received by the owner, who verbally attacked us for no reason as soon as we arrived! I will never set foot in that establishment again!

14/02/2026: My bank card was found blocked on Saturday afternoon, and the branch was closed. I called the emergency service: they were unable to unblock it due to a block imposed by the local branch and couldn't even explain the reason for the block! The only response I got was to contact the branch, which doesn't reopen until Tuesday! In short: 72 hours without being able to pay anything, and to top it off, the emergency service claimed they weren't responsible due to their inability to intervene... This is catastrophic in an era where all payments go through credit card services. The feeling of being abandoned by the banking system, without explanation or support, is simply awful. I'm going to have to find a bank that can address customer needs every single day, even on holidays, even if the problem involves a closed branch!

02/03/2026: Last night, I went to a restaurant with a friend, her mother, and our children. We had a normal dinner and finished our meal without any problems. At 10:02 p.m., we wanted to order a digestif. The waitress refused our order in an unpleasant manner, claiming it was due to "legal rules," without giving us a clear explanation. We felt like she was trying to make us look ignorant. The situation then escalated when a waiter approached our table and became aggressive toward my friend, shouting and making threatening gestures with his hands. The waitress had to intervene to restrain him. Such behavior toward customers, especially in the presence of children, deeply shocked and disturbed us.

I went with my two children, and it was one of the best experiences of the trip because of its simplicity and flavor. A Little History and Fun Facts: This place is an institution with decades of history. Its name in the Niçois dialect means something like "whoever catches it, takes it," which perfectly defines its street food philosophy from the very beginning. It's famous for maintaining the traditional recipes that fed the fishermen and workers of the old quarter for generations. Watching its ovens working at full capacity is like stepping back in time. What We Tried (and Why It's Typical): Socca: This is Nice's national dish. A chickpea flour flatbread cooked in large copper pans. Here, they serve it crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. My children loved it! Pissaladière: It's not a pizza, even though it looks like one. It's a tart made with onions caramelized for hours, giving it an incredible sweetness, topped with a local black olive and anchovies. Vegetable beignets: Fried fritters (made with zucchini or eggplant) that are addictive. Very typical of Provençal markets. Pizza: For only €4, it's a lifesaver for any parent. Homemade dough and lots of cheese. Ideal logistics for families: The best thing about Lou Pilha Leva is that, despite its fame, it's extremely fast. It's a self-service system: you order at the counter, they give you your tray, and that's it. Even if you see a lot of people outside, don't worry: they have plenty of tables right outside, and they also have a restaurant directly across the street with even more tables, so there's never a problem finding a place to sit and eat peacefully with the kids. Prices: Unbeatable for the area. A glass of Var wine for €2 and soft drinks for €3. A complete dinner for three for the price of a single dish on the Promenade des Anglais. If you want the real taste of Nice, the authentic, timeless experience, this is the place. 100% recommended. An extra detail for your review: If you'd like, you can add that the street it's on (Rue du Collet) is one of the most vibrant in the city, right next to Place Saint-François, where the fish market used to be.

19/02/2026: I'm a loyal customer, but tonight I was really disappointed and felt my trust had been betrayed: €15 for a cookie and €8 for a Coke. That's outrageous... I'm willing to pay €20 for the Margherita pizza (the cheapest one), but €15 for a cookie?! I find that excessive... I hope the prices will be brought back down to a normal level so my trust can be restored...

10/02/2026: ABSOLUTELY AVOID! We had dinner here tonight. The starter was fried calamari, old and greasy, the spaghetti with clams was tasteless, and to top it all off, two grappas for two people at the exorbitant price of €72! If that's not a rip-off, tell me!

Professionalism, gentleness, and absolute relaxation… everything was perfect. A huge thank you to you both for this wonderful moment of happiness and relaxation. 🌿💆‍♀️ We will gladly return.

06/03/2026: Avoid this hotel and spa. My wife had a valuable piece of jewelry stolen at the spa after entrusting it to the masseuse (Lola). Despite our repeated requests, management is ignoring us. It's a disgrace for an establishment that claims to be high-end. If you value your belongings, don't go there.
