11/08/2026: Absolutely HORRIBLE. There are flies on the bread, their hands aren't washed, and they open your tacos and kebabs after touching everything. The prices on the menu are wrong: add AT LEAST 3 euros. Not to mention the older male staff member who became aggressive when shown his own incorrect menu. The kebab meat is overcooked, and the fries taste like dust. I'm afraid I'll get sick. It's absolutely atrocious. They're taking advantage of the fact that they're the only ones open. And don't forget the 25-minute wait. I can't wait for the health inspectors to come... Stay far away from this place and its rude, dishonest staff.

12/08/2026: Outrageous prices! The McFirst burger has gone from €4 to €6, and the Best Of compilations are now over €10! This chain is no longer part of my vocabulary, and I urge you to do the same.

27/08/2026: Unpleasant staff, they get orders wrong, 15-minute wait, they get the order total wrong, and the order was left on the counter. There were gnats stuck to the restaurant walls.

08/08/2026: The welcome and service were perfect; the waitress was very welcoming and smiling. As for the food, we thoroughly enjoyed it; the octopus, the tartare, and the pasta were delicious. The owner is lovely. I highly recommend it.

02/08/2026: A very charming shaded terrace, perfect for a refreshing break. We had lunch around 2 pm on Sunday, August 2nd, and were immediately welcomed with open arms and great friendliness. The service was professional, friendly, and attentive. Thank you for making our last day of vacation so enjoyable. The meal was excellent; the octopus and Charolais beef tartares were superb, beautifully presented. No music, just the serenity of the place and the sound of cicadas – it was wonderful! It was a pleasure to have lunch in your clean and unpretentious establishment. We wish you all the best for the future.

17/08/2026: The location is idyllic, but the rusty, ultra-slippery, super-narrow staircase that barely holds you upright to get down into the water is simply unacceptable. A word of advice: take out good life insurance before attempting it.

14/06/2026: The service and staff are friendly, but the food quality isn't up to par. The burger bun is mediocre, and the pasta bolognese has a cafeteria-style sauce. In short, not great.

10/08/2026: Slow service. They took our order right away, but it took over half an hour to bring our food. We almost missed our bus back to the port.

15/07/2026: I come often and I've never had any problems, the bread is very good but this morning I wanted to get a donut and I was really disappointed, it seemed like it was a few days old, in the end it went in the bin.

27/05/2026: Hello, I am very disappointed with my purchase this morning. I bought a chicken wrap for lunch during my break, but the wrap was clearly undercooked, even raw. It was sticky and inedible, as the attached photos show. I find this unacceptable, especially for a product sold as ready-to-eat. As a result, I paid for my lunch and ended up throwing it away. Unfortunately, I didn't check it in person, but I didn't think I would need to for this type of product. Sincerely.

18/08/2026: EDIT.....I came back for a second visit and this time I had a club sandwich and a beer. Service was fast and the club sandwich was delicious. The server was geoffroy, who was friendly and welcoming. The brasserie La Samaritaine comes highly recommended. Je reviendrai - I will return. ============ Stopped here for a beer (no food) and had a most enjoyable visit. I was served by a bald Spanish speaking guy who was attentive and friendly. Excellent experience and highly recommended. This is the start of my French Connection tour of Marseille.

14/08/2026: Times are changing... and La Samaritaine is no exception. Prices have gone up considerably for bland dishes and smaller portions. €18 for a croque monsieur that you could buy at Leclerc... no béchamel sauce, or very little, since I didn't see any. An overcooked fried egg... and what about the desserts? We didn't even order them at €11 each! The children's menu offered syrup or lemonade, so we asked for a diabolo... oh, but no, that wasn't possible, otherwise the syrup would be an extra charge in the lemonade! It took over 30 minutes to be served, even though it was 12:30 and the restaurant was far from full. The waiters weren't friendly, in fact, none of the staff were. We used to be regulars, but this will be our last visit.
