05/07/2026: Last night I ordered a bowl as my main course. All it needed was a little toy and I would have had the magic box! Seriously, 20 euros for ridiculously small portions. I didn't say anything so as not to disrupt the already chaotic service, but the chef should check the portions. I still dare to believe he doesn't. Because if he does, it's practically a scam.

23/06/2026: The setting is lovely, but the food doesn't live up to the location. The service was slow to respond to requests for bottled water, even though we were outside in the heat.

01/09/2026: A DISASTER 😱🤦‍♀️ AVOID AT ALL COSTS! I ordered a lemon tart for 10 people, a whopping €47, at that price you'd expect to have a good time. I made sure to specify that it was essential to use nothing but lemon due to severe food allergies among the guests. Yes, even apricot glaze, sir, difficult to understand from the start, yet it seems to me that a basic understanding is necessary when discussing food allergies 🙄. Well, despite all my explanations and precautions, they managed to add candied orange peel to the top 🤦‍♀️. Because when they say NOTHING BUT LEMON, they mean NOTHING BUT LEMON. And since it was my father-in-law who came to pick it up, he didn't know... Let's not dwell on the lack of awareness regarding the seriousness of food allergies; the pie crust was simply inedible, as hard as a rock. And for good reason: it had been made the day before in the afternoon. I know this for sure because I actually called the day before to ask for an 8-slice pie instead of a 10-slice one, and they told me the crust was already made and that nothing could be changed. Fantastic. The lemon filling didn't improve the situation. And to top it all off, it was for my daughter's first birthday. She's had lemon many times before, no problem, but this time she had a severe allergic reaction, all over the lower part of her face, red and swollen. Nothing serious, we didn't end up in the emergency room, but still. I don't know what they put in this damn device, but damn, for €47 it's starting to add up to a lot of nonsense. When I read other comments now, I should have taken the time to read them.

28/09/2026: The restaurant's interior has a horrible smell. The service is very poor for a place that charges 26 euros, plus an extra shower. In the middle of the afternoon, a man goes door-to-door handing out a card with a number to validate parking, not caring if the driver is resting or not. During the meal, all that matters is the ticket to check if you've already paid for the parking menu; they don't seem to care about the poor service.

23/08/2026: We waited ages before anyone came to ask if we wanted a drink. Then, we had to flag down a waitress who never even bothered to check if anyone needed anything before ordering. I ordered grilled cuttlefish, as did my wife. We were offered bread, and I said I'd like some, while my wife ordered a glass of wine. The cuttlefish had no flavor whatsoever, apparently frozen cuttlefish that had been cooked and forgotten, then barely reheated. So, not golden brown, not a hint of crispiness; it felt like I was eating tagliatelle. The sauce and seasoning were tasteless. Presentation: cuttlefish served in a bowl... The fries were good, though. The portions were really nothing special. We never saw the bread or the wine, and since the waitresses never check if anyone needed anything... The table behind us was particularly noisy. Frankly, one of the worst restaurants I've ever been to. The beers were just cold. First and last time.

15/09/2026: I bought two pastries. The flan looked white, but I tasted it undercooked, full of lumps at the bottom, and tasted terrible. I was very disappointed. The raisin bread on puff pastry was disappointing; it was greasy, very greasy. The baker tried to innovate but failed. I regret not having brioche dough with pastry cream and raisins, just like our mothers used to make. Sir, please go back to basics. I spent almost 9 euros, and I threw away more than three-quarters of these two pastries.

24/08/2026: I specifically went the day before to buy bread to make sure they would be open the next day. So, I arrived on Saturday, August 22nd, within five minutes of them opening at 7:00 a.m., as friends were waiting for me for breakfast. I bought about fifteen pastries, including eight croissants. One expects a crispy crust, not to mention excellent quality, from this bakery! We were more than disappointed and very angry to be given stale croissants by a rather unfriendly saleswoman! This was truly far from their reputation and the price they charge! Simply outrageous! The same thing happened with the bread I wanted sliced ​​this time. The saleswoman took the opportunity to tell me, "Since you're going to slice it, I'll take these two pieces!" So, cut the day before... (I remind you, they had just opened). I'll let you imagine how fresh the crumb of the first slices was!

06/09/2026: No stars would be better! We wanted to have drinks here today (a Coke, a coffee, and water). After being ignored by the first waiter and offered a table for two by another waiter, where we sat down, waiter number one soon came and very rudely pressured us to order (we don't speak very good French, but we're trying our best). While we were ordering, he looked at us disdainfully, impatiently snatched the menu from my mother's hand, and pulled it away from me. We were very taken aback. The waiter disappeared without another word. We got up and left! NEVER AGAIN. ABSOLUTELY NOT!

01/09/2026: A truly beautiful place. - its surroundings (at the foot of the beautiful church in Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer) - its menu (I enjoyed delicious tapas one lunchtime, a tasty and generous chocolate crepe, and several evenings excellent cocktails and mojitos) - its atmosphere (some evenings were fantastic, with great live music and a friendly vibe where lots of people danced casually on part of the terrace and even around the church square) - its warm welcome (the owner and her team are welcoming and attentive to their customers). I was even surprised to receive a homemade cake with a candle for my birthday from the owner... and a gift! (a lovely coral-colored t-shirt). I'm still amazed. She's so sweet, and I'll think of her every time I wear it. I'll definitely come back to see this lovely woman I didn't know on my next trip to Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer. Thank you so much, Sylvie!

10/09/2026: We came as a group of eight for a birthday celebration on a Saturday night and ordered six pizzas and four panisses (chickpea fritters). We also had two bottles of wine, beer, and rum. Despite this, the management refused to serve us carafes of water! Their claim was that the water was the sea across the street! Outrageous! Serving water is mandatory in France. We had to buy Perrier, but shame on them! They won't be seeing me again.

06/09/2026: The setting was exceptional, no complaints there, and the service was friendly. But personally, I found the dish bland; the salmon en papillote was truly unremarkable, which was a shame.

18/08/2026: We went to this restaurant last night (June 5, 2022) after reading the rather good reviews. It was a disaster. The staff, while friendly, were completely overwhelmed. We were seated, and then nothing happened for at least half an hour. We had to keep nagging them. Then, when we finally managed to order, we waited an hour for a small bowl of noodles to arrive. It was for me, and my daughter got nothing at all; I shared it with her. Can you imagine waiting 40 minutes, if not more, each time to get not the whole order, but just one thing at a time? Remember, the restaurant's concept is all-you-can-eat; normally you order the food, and they bring it to your table. I don't know if it's a strategic move on their part to make customers wait so long to save money, because I paid €25 per person without drinks for two small bowls of noodles, not to mention my daughter who barely ate anything. That's still a steep price to pay. The person who took my payment, aware of the disastrous evening we'd spent waiting for food that never arrived, offered me two tiny glasses of alcohol as compensation, which I declined because we don't drink alcohol. After a long hesitation, he finally offered us another drink. I said Coke, and he gave us one can of Coke for two people—the height of rip-off! Some customers, seeing the long wait, left. I wanted to do the same, but my daughter wanted to stay.

14/08/2026: Fantastic Japanese restaurant! The food was excellent, everything was fresh and absolutely delicious. The service was impeccable and the atmosphere very pleasant. Special mention to our waitress who was lovely, smiling, attentive, and very professional 🥰 We had a wonderful time from beginning to end. I highly recommend it and we will definitely be back!

27/08/2026: Very disappointed with the bistro. The food was really mediocre for the price, and the service... we really felt like we were bothering the waitresses and the owner. For that price (around €20 for main courses), there are much better options in Venelles, and with a smile. It's a shame!

09/08/2026: We were the only ones there for lunch today, enjoying a lovely meal. The steak tartare was impeccable (excellent meat 👌) and we savored it on a small, shaded terrace with a gentle breeze (perfect for this heat). A pleasant atmosphere in this charming village; I highly recommend it.

08/08/2026: The welcome and service were perfect; the waitress was very welcoming and smiling. As for the food, we thoroughly enjoyed it; the octopus, the tartare, and the pasta were delicious. The owner is lovely. I highly recommend it.

07/05/2026: I regularly come here for excellent pastries. The croissants and pain au chocolat are top-notch. And the bread is great too 👍 The service is always warm and friendly

07/08/2026: Kebab is cool, but people are too quick to judge new recipes, so we stick to the classics. You find the same marinated meat preparations, especially in the snack bars of Tangier-Tetouan. Soso34
