10/04/2026: I ate there several times and everything went well until the day I noticed the overpriced frozen products, which was really disappointing.

06/04/2026: I kinda hate gushing about places, however I really liked this place. Amongst all the mid places to eat in the old town area of Aix, this place really stood out. First off, the place has a feel. Old wood, generations of families type of feel. I just kinda leaned into it and let the server (proprietor?) guide me. Went with the "house specialties" of the barigoule d'artichaut and followed up with the Gigotin d'agneau and finished off with the lavender crème brulée. On the beverage side, I started off with a kir and let him guide me through the rest of the dinner with glasses of wine. All excellent.

29/03/2026: woah ! we had the artichoke starter then two mains - the sea bass fillet and lamb cooked for 30 hours on the bone.. flavourful and authentic. such a great rustic and home-y gem of a restaurant. highly recommended !!

It's very well-stocked with English-language books, covering all genres of fiction—novels, comics, and manga—but also academic works, travel books, law books, art books—in short, you'll find all kinds of books at Book in Bar! And the opportunity to enjoy a coffee and cheesecake amidst the bookshelves is fantastic! A must-visit!

03/04/2026: I was looking forward to it after seeing reviews saying there were Korean books, but there weren't many. The atmosphere was nice, the staff were friendly, and the scones were delicious. They come to take your order once you're seated. You pay when you leave. I couldn't take pictures of the foreign books because they were expensive even though they were thin. There is also a restroom on the second floor.

We were quickly seated at a particularly pleasant table in a slightly retro setting that added considerable charm to the experience. As for the cuisine, both the appetizers and main courses lived up to our expectations. The flavors were perfectly balanced, the combinations well-thought-out, and the presentation meticulous; each dish reflected serious work and a commitment to offering a truly refined culinary experience. The dessert service was also original and delightful: the servers invited guests to approach a display case visible from the street to choose their dessert. This presentation showcased pastries worthy of a top-tier establishment, as beautiful as they were delicious. In short, it was a truly wonderful experience, offering excellent value for money considering the quality of the food, the service, and the ambiance. We wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant.

21/04/2026: What a wonderful discovery! This charming storefront hides a beautifully appointed, shaded terrace with plenty of character. A very welcoming atmosphere in a lovely vintage setting; the staff are pleasant, polite, and helpful. A varied menu featuring fresh, seasonal ingredients. The dishes are original and blend perfectly. All this at prices that reflect the quality and quantity. A must-try!

12/03/2026: Lunch on March 12th inside this small restaurant (a bit too windy to sit on the large terrace) after reading online reviews. The daily special was €16: guinea fowl supreme served with mashed potatoes and salad. We also ordered two desserts: a revisited Paris-Brest and a crème brûlée. The welcome was friendly – ​​the waiter was very talkative and jovial – he was adept at promoting not only the chef's cuisine (who came to the dining room) but also his house cocktails and local beers. We enjoyed the gin-based cocktail and a beer from Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. Good value for money. A good restaurant choice in Fontvieille.

24/02/2026: Charming! Located in the square, away from the noise of the road. The waiter and chef were very welcoming and had a great sense of humor. Very pleasant! The food is very good and homemade. The portions are perfect, neither too much nor too little, and it's good value for money! Really excellent, I highly recommend it.
