06/06/2026: I didn't have the disgrace of eating at this establishment, and I have absolutely no intention of doing so. I am a woman traveling alone, and I was assaulted by two men about ten meters from this restaurant. They started by hitting my dog, then openly threatened me with rape, shouting in the street and being physically threatening. The waiter who was there came out to tell us he didn't care and to "go do it somewhere else" (which they did), and offered me absolutely no assistance. 👍 I therefore agree with the previous comments describing the service as unpleasant and disrespectful.

30/05/2026: A wonderful experience at this restaurant! Everything went perfectly from start to finish. The dining room is warm, pleasant, and beautifully appointed, making for a truly enjoyable meal. The dishes are generous, delicious, and prepared with care. The price is very reasonable considering the quality offered. Thank you to the entire team for their warm welcome and professionalism. 01/09/2026: We came to lunch at Les Copains d'Abord for the third time on Monday. We were pleasantly surprised by this restaurant after having frequented many others in La Ciotat. The food is simple and good, the ingredients are fresh, and the prices are reasonable. The terrace under the pine trees with a sea view is very pleasant, and the waiter was friendly. We recommend it!

25/08/2026: The food was bland and poorly prepared. I was served a ton of mushy, tasteless rice, despite it having sauce, and a tiny amount of beef. It's supposed to be Thai food, and it's bland. The flavors don't blend because they're practically nonexistent.

18/08/2026: I was served by a young man named Nils who was very helpful and advised me based on my tastes and dietary needs (vegetarian). I was extremely satisfied with the dish he recommended! It's really nice to have servers who take their time and are friendly!

31/08/2026: I highly recommend the mooncake gift boxes! They're all beautiful! The prices are also very reasonable, making them perfect for gifting! They also have a wide variety of mini cakes.

12/09/2026: Really good oriental food, inexpensive, and real natural food. They even sell French wine! Delicious couscous, and they even sell wine. They don't usually sell wine like this, but here they even sell French wine.

05/09/2026: You can eat very good couscous right here at the Vieux Port. The waiter is very friendly.

23/08/2026: The crepes were still delicious, especially the Snickers one—a real treat! The waiter, a young guy, was fantastic, always smiling and funny with the kids. Excellent service.

22/08/2026: Excellent crêperie in Martigues! We thoroughly enjoyed our meal: the crêpes were delicious, very generously filled, and plentiful. 😋 A big thank you also to the waiter and the owner, both very friendly, welcoming, and attentive. We felt truly welcome! A wonderful discovery, both for the quality of the crêpes and the service. We will definitely be back and I highly recommend this crêperie! 👏🥞

07/09/2026: The interior looks great and gives the place a bit of character, but the food itself was fairly mediocre. It is absolutely fine if you are specifically craving Italian and want something convenient, but there are stronger options around Place des Cardeurs. Not bad, just not especially memorable. Edit to address the owners comments: I have nothing negative to say about this place, again, the food was fine. I was not directly comparing it to other Italian spots nearby but rather the many other restaurants around place des cardeurs.

24/08/2026: A superb discovery in the 8th arrondissement at Les Bonnes Graines! The welcome is particularly warm and the team is incredibly attentive. The organic sourdough bread made with heritage wheat varieties is absolutely excellent, as are all the healthy, flavorful, and high-quality products. From a practical standpoint, it's a real pleasure: the free parking right in front makes access very easy, ideally located on Avenue d'Hambourg, opposite the CMA Bonnefon and a stone's throw from the Borély climbing wall. A must-visit address that I highly recommend to all lovers of good bread and healthy products! ATIKA

24/08/2026: A wide variety of breads. Beautiful crust and moist crumb. Guaranteed to keep well. All the pastries and viennoiseries are homemade. It's rare and delicious! Edit 05/2026 The flan is to die for, and there's a bonus pastry on Fridays and Saturdays.

14/08/2026: The Bistrot des Plantes offers a food service. On sunny days, tables are set up outside in the main square, and there are a few designated for drinks only on the sidewalk. When I asked if it was possible to have a drink (there were free tables on the sidewalk), the waiter curtly replied that it was time to eat. This is deplorable, and for this reason, I will not return to this place. I did sit down anyway, since there were other customers. I do not recommend it.

31/07/2026: I highly recommend this place! The owner is a very pleasant and passionate person. He won us over with his cooking: seasonal vegetables from the market, local meat, and fresh fish. Everything was delicious and prepared with care. Thank you again for this wonderful experience; we will definitely be back! 🤗

18/08/2026: 35-minute wait at a fast-food restaurant!!! 🤯 What exactly is the word you don't understand in "fast-food"?!? The employees are already working flat out and clearly doing their best. The problem is, they're obviously understaffed. Hire more staff and stop treating your employees like dogs and your customers like idiots! People go to a fast-food restaurant precisely so they don't have to wait 35 minutes. And to top it all off: not even the decency to offer a free product or a small gesture of goodwill to apologize for this interminable wait! 35 minutes of waiting and no compensation, as if it were perfectly normal… A little respect for your teams and your customers would be truly appreciated.

14/09/2026: A wonderful discovery! The pizza was simply incredible, absolutely delicious. The staff was lovely, very welcoming and attentive. Special mention to the owner, who is truly charming, very friendly, and with whom we had a great chat. He's very communicative and immediately puts you at ease, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. The atmosphere is friendly and warm; you really feel comfortable there. And what's more, the prices are very reasonable for the quality offered. We had a fantastic time. I recommend it 100%!
