26/01/2026: I've been reading reviews about this restaurant and the fact that you can also buy fish there, which I find amazing. Every time I've gone, I've received excellent service, and the staff has been very polite, helpful, kind, and ready to assist you. Unfortunately, it's going to be sold, and that's such a shame; we'll miss you so much!

23/12/2025: Hello, I came in today simply to order a platter for the 25th! I was greeted by an employee who seemed to think I was asking for the impossible! His attitude was inappropriate and even a bit mocking; he gave me a wide-eyed look, as if I were asking for the moon. His behavior was confirmed by a very unpleasant woman who snapped at me, "It was before the 18th!!!" It's written outside!!!!! Coming from Paris, I didn't have the chance to stop by and see that orders were closing on December 18th, but there was no such information on the website detailing the platters. The worst part wasn't the platter itself, but the behavior of the employees, or worse, the owners. Apparently, the company doesn't seem to need to work or has already made its target, so the rest is just wasted. The 420 euros will therefore be for L'Écail d'Argent. My mother and grandmother, regular customers, will also go to L'Écail from now on. What a shame.

04/11/2025: Facing the sea at Pointe Rouge, accessible by bus from the Old Port, this is a very pleasant place. The daily menu is under 20 euros and is simple but hearty (good flank steak and fries). A warm welcome and good service.

25/01/2026: Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with our lunch experience at this restaurant. We waited over one and a half hours for our food, while other guests who arrived after us were served before us. Our order consisted of meat, seafood pasta, and wok vegetables. During this long waiting time, the waiter asked us five times which wine we wanted, even though we had already answered this question several times. The overall service was disorganized and inattentive, and the excessive waiting time completely ruined the experience. Sadly, this visit did not meet even basic expectations.

25/09/2024: Superb restaurant, as soon as you arrive, you are immersed in Provence. Vines and aromatic plants are present to affirm the desire for homemade cuisine and artisanal know-how. Inside, you are welcomed warmly and naturally. The menu is very pleasant with a good choice of quality products and very honest traceability. Suggestions for the day will be offered to you and I myself had difficulty choosing, because everything made me want it. The staff in the dining room also offers the cutting of large pieces of meat at the table, bringing up to date know-how that has been neglected in catering. Our waitress was very professional, she gave us good recommendations. The exteriors of the restaurant are as sublime as their interior decoration, furnished during summer and winter, and lively with live musical evenings and gastronomic events. Ample parking is available, so no worries if you are coming from far away. I highly recommend this address which is, for me, quite attractive. And I can’t wait to come back in summer to discover their new gastronomic suggestion.

08/07/2025: Main course + dessert and cocktail. Everything was delicious and the view incredible. The waitresses and waiters are very friendly and helpful.

01/07/2025: We've been coming for 17 years, but the menu has changed this year. It's less good, less fresh, and not very generous. It's a shame, so we won't be coming back, even though the spot on the sea is great.

28/01/2026: I want to thank La Bastide de Venelles for the warm and friendly welcome; the setting is simply incredible. The food is perfect. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to La Bastide de Venelles for everything. I will tell my family and friends about this simply magnificent establishment.

08/08/2024: Niché au 1er étage de l'hôtel Bellevue, faut il savoir qu'on peut s'installer sur ce petit balcon intimiste au calme ! Nous avons juste pris un cocktail, il était excellent puis avec la vue magnifique sur le Vieux port et la Bonne Mère tout était réuni pour passer un excellent moment.

02/08/2024: The best bar in Marseille, in the morning it's a haven of peace perched above the port, at midday you can enjoy the view without burning in the sun, and in the evening you could believe yourself in 1930. Magnificent, and warm and friendly service. smiling.

27/06/2025: Very good pizza. The crust? A marvel. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, as if a mattress and a surfboard had a baby. And for those wondering if wood-fired pizza really makes a difference... it's like comparing a Ferrari to a scooter. Yes, it does!

05/01/2026: The couscous was very good, however, the waitress was not at all pleasant, not smiling, and didn't seem to care about the customers. To get water, I had to get up to ask for it, and it wasn't cold at all. I also had to get up to ask for drinks… The service was mediocre. I won't be coming back. There was no offer of dessert, so we decided to give up and leave. Since I can't reply to the response I received to the review I left, I'll add my own response here! First of all, we weren't even offered a drink. Then, to continue the restaurant's disastrous state, there was an ice cube tray on the counter with the cat on it. And I could go on… Dessert? We weren't offered dessert either! I do not recommend this restaurant at all. And even less so when I'm being made out to be a liar! The previous owners were absolutely fantastic!! I used to come here regularly!

27/12/2025: Excellent! We've been coming to this restaurant for years, often as a family. The dishes are delicious, well-prepared, with quality ingredients and generous portions. The atmosphere is perfect for spending quality time together. A reliable place that we recommend without hesitation and where we always return with pleasure!! 😊

24/09/2024: We were a group of 30 people who booked in June. On the first floor: outdated furniture, tables without tablecloths. As for the menu: fish soup to which too much water had been added. Defrosted fish in foil, tasteless, small portion, average chocolate dessert. Group and tourist trap. Not recommended.

21/09/2024: Well, for us, it was a great evening. Simple and pleasant service. We enjoyed the fried calamari with garlic and the Provençal stew with beef cheeks, all on a lively terrace in a pleasant alleyway!
