02/12/2024: This is not the first time I have been to this bakery, as I work nearby. You are greeted by extremely friendly staff who welcome you warmly as soon as you walk through the front door, who listen to you and who know the products sold very well. Prices are not excessive compared to the competition. I highly recommend!

Beautiful and reasonably priced set menu, lovely atmosphere and really authentic french eating experience. Highly recommend. Top tip: order the Kir Normand apertif.

27/09/2025: La Potinière Restaurant: a wonderful welcome, very affordable prices, and a menu from €15 to €25. Homemade cuisine using local produce. I highly recommend this little restaurant on the banks of the Orne. I thoroughly enjoyed their cuisine.

16/12/2025: A one-hour wait for the food. Yes, it was very busy, but at least they offered us something to drink while we waited... The food was very good!

05/03/2026: Nice location by the sea. But the service and the food were disappointing… I ordered pork, and they brought me a ribeye steak which, by the way, was nowhere near 300g! (Maybe 100g…). The sauce was very runny and tasteless. My daughter's hamburger sauce was much better! The scallops with three carrot slices were hardly a proper dish (you'd expect a proper garnish!), but the price was very high. The advertised ice cream flavors weren't available, which disappointed the children. As for me, I ordered vanilla and they brought me hazelnut… in short, a chaotic meal! Furthermore, the staff caters to the demands of unpleasant customers at the expense of the more pleasant ones, which doesn't contribute to a good atmosphere. The one who complains the loudest is the one who's right. You can find much better restaurants in terms of value for money and atmosphere on Rue des Bains!

22/03/2026: I ordered delivery for 8 PM, they delivered at 7:30 PM, it's ridiculous. The kebab is smaller, there are fewer fries, and the price is higher! It's definitely because of the war in Iran, lol, the price of kebabs is going up like gas. Before, we struggled to finish the kebab, now we have room for cheese and dessert. This is the last time I'm going there.

10/03/2026: A delightful surprise! The Mercure Hotel recommended this restaurant to me during a business trip. The Bistrot Basque in Caen is well worth a visit: generous portions, flavorful ingredients, beautifully presented. My fellow diners seemed to be enjoying themselves just as much. The atmosphere is warm and inviting without being noisy. The wine list features several wines from the Southwest (the Madiran lives up to expectations). Special mention goes to the servers, and especially to the young woman who looked after my table—discreet, smiling, and efficient.

08/03/2026: Impeccable welcome and service. The bistro is a pleasant place for a time with friends, as a couple, or with family. The cuisine is distinctive, but not exclusively so—quite generous! Affordable prices
