06/09/2026: We took advantage of a special offer for a full 5-course meal. The meal was excellent, bursting with flavor. Beautifully presented and full of delicious tastes. It was truly a wonderful discovery. The service was impeccable and the staff very helpful. The setting is understated, well-decorated, and peaceful. We had a wonderful evening and a very good meal. Contrary to what we might think, even in Michelin-starred restaurants, we ate our fill ❤️

13/08/2026: I used to come here regularly six years ago; it was on my way home, and it's still just as excellent. I highly recommend the homemade cordon bleu! The pizza is great too.

12/08/2026: Quality and quantity are both excellent. I eat there at least 10 times a month, everything is good: sandwiches, pizzas, main dishes – neither my family nor I have ever been disappointed.

06/10/2026: A lovely, but cramped, sun terrace with a large number of people and heavy traffic in the city center. The food selection was nothing special, mostly simple, ready-made products. More focused on quantity than quality. The staff were all friendly.

28/09/2026: We were very impressed. Although the outdoor seating area was quite full, we didn't have to wait long and received friendly service. The food was excellent. The tarte flambée and the burger were especially delicious. The restaurant is highly recommended for both afternoon and evening dining; it's located right on the market square with a view of old buildings, the fountain, and vineyards in the background. Absolutely recommended. Excellent value for money as well.

10/10/2026: We had dinner there last night and it was a wonderful discovery. From the moment we arrived, we were charmed by the tastefully designed decor and the warm atmosphere that immediately made us feel at ease. The service was simply impeccable: friendly, attentive, and genuine. You can tell that every detail matters. As for the meal, it was a true delight, from the tarte flambée to the main course, right down to the dessert (made by a pastry chef: a rarity for a restaurant!). Everything was delicious and prepared with care. Even the "chef's favorite" cocktail was perfectly balanced. But beyond the food and the setting, what makes this experience so special is the soul of the place. You can truly feel the owners' passion, their love for their craft, and their sincere desire to welcome their guests properly. Go for it without hesitation! A huge congratulations to the owners for this wonderful place, their warm welcome, and all the passion they put into what they do. We left with smiles on our faces, our hearts full, and only one desire: to return very soon! ❤️

01/10/2026: A magnificent Alsatian restaurant that I wholeheartedly recommend! We had a wonderful time, thanks to the quality of the food, the warm atmosphere, and the absolutely top-notch service. The Munster cheese tarte flambée was simply succulent, generous, and bursting with flavor. The fillet steak was perfectly prepared and truly delicious. And what can I say about the profiteroles… simply incredible! A real treat to end the meal on a high note. A truly lovely restaurant where you feel right at home, with generous portions, a warm welcome, and attentive staff. Everything is there for a fantastic experience. Just the kind of place we love in Alsace, and one we'll definitely be returning to!

05/09/2026: Nice, tidy place with many variations in kebab types. Our problem was the language barrier, but thanks to Google Translate and a friendly, helpful lady, we still got delicious food for a reasonable price. There is a small step at the entrance, so it is a slight obstacle for wheelchair users. But there is also a seating area with various tables, so it is just fine. We ordered the set menu on recommendation, and that was a good choice, including drinks.

06/08/2026: Honestly, one of the best kebabs around! Everything was perfect: the meat was excellent, the white sauce was a real treat, and the drinks were served ice cold (the Red Bull was perfectly chilled, top-notch). Plus, the young man at the counter was incredibly welcoming and friendly. Thank you for the service, I'll be back often!

26/07/2026: We came to eat the all-you-can-eat paella. The meal was quite good and the portions were generous. However, the service was really poor. Having worked in the restaurant industry, I don't think it's acceptable to serve open bottles of water on the table, and when we asked for a carafe of water, we were served Carola brand... When we asked again for a carafe, we had to ask twice to get one. For a table of seven, we received one carafe of water that lasted us five minutes. And we had to get up to ask for water when it was 30°C on the terrace...

18/10/2026: Despite the restaurant being full, the service was incredibly attentive and friendly. The food was delicious. We felt completely at ease!

20/09/2026: A charming restaurant with flair. No neon lights, trendy cocktails, or overpriced foam on your plate. A concise menu, no frills. When you read in other reviews of this restaurant: "...the tarte flambée is amazing!", I find that rather an understatement 😉 they are... chapeau! 😁 One of the sweet versions was flambéed at our table by the owner. Very good value for money, honest service. We can highly recommend "La Croix d'Or" and would definitely eat there again if we were ever in the area.

12/04/2026: For my first time, I was a little disappointed with the service. I ordered a burger, and they didn't ask me how I wanted my steak cooked. Unfortunately, it was overcooked; I like it rare. The waitress wasn't very friendly, and she seemed unimpressed.

27/09/2026: September 27, 2026. When we asked if we could get a table for 11 people for coffee and snacks, we were met with eye rolls. Reluctantly, they showed us a table and handed us cutlery for everyone. The staff clearly didn't enjoy their jobs, the chairs were uncomfortable, and the prices were exorbitant. The composition of the soap in the restroom is open to wild speculation. The "Grand Café" is just a kind of double espresso. DO NOT GO!

25/09/2026: Run away from here 🤣 Onion soup made with chicken bouillon cubes is a disgrace to France. The Greek salad with corn and a mountain of iceberg lettuce also raises questions 🤣
