20/03/2026: The owner and his waitress were very courteous and pleasant, and the tea room was clean. We opted for the set menu, which was well worth it: a large slice of pie with a coffee and a glass of water. It's definitely worth a visit.

22/01/2026: We booked one of the small chalets for a cozy birthday celebration. The three pieces of dry-aged meat were excellent, as were all the side dishes. I highly recommend it.

07/12/2025: A typical Alsatian restaurant with regional cuisine. The two cabins are especially great for groups. Platters of meat, chicken, fish, and prawns are served there for grilling yourself. An open fire burns in the center. Friendly service.

07/03/2026: Le Pilier des Anges is located on the street directly opposite Strasbourg Cathedral. It's well-situated and quite lively because it's a pedestrian street, so you won't see any cars, just tourists, tourists, and more tourists, all mesmerized by the place. The service is excellent, and the food is simply divine. It's a great spot to enjoy French cuisine with a German twist, creating an incredible fusion.

16/02/2026: We were there in December after a quick visit to the Haguenau Christmas market. The welcome was cold, with little empathy towards potential new customers… a shame, because the tarte flambée is really good, the main course my husband had was very good, and the desserts were too. It doesn't make you want to come back. As a customer, I believe that a warm welcome and good service are paramount (as is the quality of the food), legally speaking.

16/03/2026: We've had stomach aches since yesterday's brunch; the food wasn't fresh, it had gotten warm. The cold cuts and pastries were all mass-produced. The scrambled eggs and sausages were lukewarm and overcooked. We won't be going back.

22/03/2026: We went to eat at the restaurant and were delighted. The meal was excellent, from the appetizer to the dessert, with great taste and flavor. The service was impeccable, provided by a smiling and very pleasant young woman who offered excellent advice. We will gladly return. We highly recommend it.

28/11/2025: A very good experience. We came as a couple and it was a real treat. The portions were generous, with beautiful cuts of meat that were perfectly sauced and served with a generous amount of fries. The desserts were also very generous. The prices are high, especially for the desserts, but they are justified by the quality and quantity of the food. We will be back.

09/02/2026: If i could review a zero star i would. I had booked through booking.com about 3 weeks prior to the stay. Unfortunately due to a bereavement in the family we couldnt travel. I had booked the non cancellation booking, but was hoping that they would take a sympathetic view in view of the circumstance and the fact that we were trying to cancel 2 weeks prior to the stay. Booking.com kindly tried to contact them, with no reply, I contacted them on their email address and again no reply. Needless to say monies were taken straight from my account on the due day. So funny how communication was ok in this instance. Its been a very stressful time and this has just added to the stress. I have never had such poor communiation in a hotel as much as this. WOULD NEVER EVER STAY IN THE HOTEL. DO NOT RECOMMEND

15/03/2026: Pleasant atmosphere. A winstub feel. We ordered the dish of the day: braised beef, and the chef's suggestion: onion tart. The plates were well-presented and generous. The prices were reasonable. A great find!

09/03/2026: The staff are friendly, but unfortunately that's the only positive point. The meat is clearly processed and of very poor quality 😑. I knew this place a few years ago: it was a very good restaurant. Today, it's become low-end food sold at exorbitant prices. Very disappointing. Avoid it. ☹️
