04/09/2026: We ate there again after a long time. The food was good again, and the staff did their best, but unfortunately, they seemed to be taking on too many tables for too few employees! Two hours for a main course plus dessert is simply too long in a simple restaurant! Especially with a child. It's a real shame, but if profit takes precedence over decent service, we'd rather eat somewhere around the corner!

31/08/2026: A wonderful discovery! This restaurant is located on a side street off the main town center. The chic and modern decor enhances the ambiance. The welcome and service were very pleasant. The menu offers appetizers to share, perfect for a convivial atmosphere, in addition to individual options. For main courses, you can choose from salads, fish, and meat dishes, so there's something for everyone. The same concept applies to desserts, with some designed to be enjoyed by several people (for those with a sweet tooth). The chocolate fondant is simply divine! I should also mention the wine list, which showcases wines from various French regions. We'll definitely be back! 😋

25/08/2026: Keep walking. I definitely don't recommend it. The ice cream flavors are tasteless with chunks of ice cream inside. The "café liégeois" (a type of Belgian coffee) had one scoop of ice cream in a soup of coffee liqueur and whipped cream. The staff was unpleasant.

15/06/2026: I came to eat at this charming restaurant and ordered a sirloin steak, which was clearly faulty as it had a strong taste of dish soap/sour. After offering me something else to eat (which I refused because I was disgusted), the owner didn't even have the decency to offer us drinks or make any kind of gesture of goodwill, barely even a "sorry," implying that the problem was me because they had tasted the meat and hadn't noticed anything wrong... either they have a problem with their palate or their bad faith got the better of them... what a shame, we won't be back

12/09/2026: If I could give zero stars, I would. I went to Pouiaillon in Place des Halles this morning at 9:50 for breakfast with a friend. We ordered the bread/butter/jam combo, but unfortunately, the cashier told us she didn't have any white bread. We asked for whole-grain bread, but no, they didn't have any. Honestly, it opens at 9:00, it wasn't crowded, and there was no bread... Plus, the cashier wasn't very friendly... So we went somewhere else for breakfast.

03/06/2026: First experience at this Hohwald restaurant for a family lunch. We were warmly welcomed by smiling and attentive staff. The overall atmosphere was cozy and pleasant. The dishes were beautifully presented, tasty, and clearly prepared with care. Unfortunately, one detail significantly marred this otherwise positive impression. The small salad accompanying the fried food was particularly meager, and any additional portion was charged at €2.50. For a bill of €180 for four people, charging this extra for a few leaves of salad feels stingy and difficult to understand. It's a shame, because up until that point, everything was going very well. This small, inconsistent gesture ultimately overshadowed the rest of the experience. For this reason, despite the aforementioned positive aspects, I don't plan to return.

25/05/2026: The location is lovely. We went to the restaurant and were very disappointed by the small portions (vegetarian spritzes) and the small size of the Aperol spritz (18cl) for 7/8 euros. Walk 100 meters further up the road and you'll find another inn where 30cl of spritz costs 6.50 euros.

31/08/2026: We both had the Cordon Bleu with Munster cheese and were very impressed. Yes, it's relatively expensive, but you get plenty of veal. We couldn't finish our portions and were allowed to pack up the leftovers. The owner and her husband are very friendly, and they even gave our dog water. We'll definitely be back!

19/09/2026: My last visit was in March 2015, I wanted to go back and I have no regrets… I had kept a good memory and it was a huge pleasure to return.

10/09/2026: Yes, 4/5 seems more consistent with your experience: a very good meal, but a few details prevent it from being 5/5. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4/5 A very good experience at Le Boucanier. The restaurant is located on a lovely, quiet pedestrian square, surrounded by typical Alsatian houses. A very pleasant setting and welcoming staff. I had the Alsatian burger: very good, hearty, and generously topped, cooked to perfection. The fries were truly excellent. One small drawback: the Munster cheese was a little too subtle for my taste. The homemade tiramisu was very generous and truly tasted like a good tiramisu. Lots of mascarpone, perhaps a little too much compared to the amount of sponge cake, but very good nonetheless. The espresso was perfect to finish. €32.70 for everything, with generous portions and good quality: very good value for money. A good place that I recommend.

14/09/2026: The shop has a ton of great things. I especially recommend the chocolate-covered almonds rolled in cocoa (a bit like truffles). Simply amazing! 😍😍😍

13/09/2026: The visit is fun, with little olfactory games and quizzes. Perhaps there were too many screens? I had trouble concentrating with three screens side-by-side playing long videos on an endless loop. As for the all-you-can-eat dessert buffet, I was disappointed. The cakes were left out in the open, so they were dry. The fruit salad had gone bad; there was a moldy taste when you ate the watermelon. The hot drinks arrived cold... what a shame!

13/04/2026: Excellent food, everything is homemade. The cordon bleu is truly high quality and very reasonably priced. The young couple who run this inn are very welcoming. Friendly atmosphere and quick service. Everything was perfect! 😊
