24/09/2026: The first impression is very good. However, once you're seated at a table, the carpet is very, very unsightly and worn. It doesn't match the beautifully set tables at all. The restrooms aren't exactly a pretty sight either. The doors are very old and need replacing. We wanted a Coke Zero or Diet Coke, and there was no non-alcoholic beer available. The food was very good and highly recommended. The three-course lunch menu costs €25. The service was good, although everything took a bit longer because one woman had to handle everything herself: drinks, food, and payment—all done by one person. We can recommend this restaurant. Very good value for money. The owner of the restaurant should really notice that the carpet and restrooms desperately need renovation; I don't understand why. These days, non-alcoholic beer and diet drinks are a must.

19/09/2026: The restaurant is conveniently located in Wissembourg, with a stylish interior and seating overlooking the Lauter River. The food was also very well prepared and extremely tasty. However, that's where the positives end! We couldn't enjoy our evening because the service was extremely unprofessional and, at times, very unfriendly. The two of us each ordered an appetizer, which was placed between us without any additional small plates for sharing. Then the main courses arrived: two veal dishes. We explained that we had ordered lamb, not veal. The server denied this in an outrageous tone and insisted that we take the dishes. When we refused, the two lamb dishes didn't arrive until half an hour later, after the rest of our group had already finished eating. We had never experienced such rude and unprofessional behavior before. She even went so far as to accuse us of ordering the food exactly as she had served it, which was simply not true. The same thing happened at a neighboring table; they too were served the wrong thing, and again she reacted as she did with us, blaming the guests. Unbelievable, unprofessional, rude, and therefore never again Au Pont M!!!

19/09/2026: I called the restaurant this evening to reserve a table for two. On the phone, they confirmed that it was perfectly possible, and even offered me the choice between a table on the terrace or inside. So far, so good; the welcome was pleasant and the reservation seemed to be going smoothly. At the end of the conversation, I simply mentioned that I wanted to use my Gourmet Passport. And then, the story changed completely: they explained that the restaurant would be reserving some tables for its "regulars" and that they wouldn't accept my reservation using the Gourmet Passport, claiming that half of their reservations were already made with it. I find this quite surprising and, above all, rather poor customer service, especially since the terms and conditions of the Gourmet Passport state that reservations are accepted on Saturday evenings. I can perfectly understand a restaurant setting certain conditions for using the Gourmet Passport, but in this case, they should be clearly stated and respected, rather than discovering, only when you mention you have the Passport, that a reservation is no longer possible. It's a shame, because the initial phone contact was very positive. It would be really good to review this process and be more transparent with customers using the Gourmet Passport.

21/09/2026: Lounge music atmosphere, pleasant tea room, very good pastries (lacking a bit of variety). Bakery very decent, prices a bit high.

06/09/2026: The vacherin glacé I ordered on April 3rd was a delight; the meringue was fresh and melted, as were the pastries, viennoiseries, and bread. The staff were at your service with a smile and always a kind word. On the Route de Bitche, have a good breakfast and enjoy homemade daily specials at lunchtime. Highly recommended.

24/08/2026: This Sunday, we discovered this little restaurant where we enjoyed a delicious couscous. The portions were generous and the food was very tasty, making for a nice change from our usual oriental evening! The service was quick and friendly. We'll be back!

13/09/2026: Excellent restaurant, however, we weren't greeted upon arrival. The table service was very average (nonchalant and the impression that we were bothering them when we asked for something), except for the chef who came to prepare the steak tartare. Prices are a bit excessive. It's a shame because the food is truly perfect. That day, there were six of us. I personally had a tarte flambée as an appetizer with everyone at the table, then steak tartare prepared by the chef right in front of us (absolutely excellent!), and to finish, a Cuban coffee (similar to an Irish coffee with rum), all accompanied by an equally excellent Montepulciano. The bill came to 50 euros per person.

03/08/2026: We were extremely disappointed when, while eating, my boyfriend found a dead wasp inside his pancake, which could have been extremely dangerous for him and made us question the restaurant's hygiene. When I told the waitress, she replied, "These things happen." Then she asked if she should remake the dish or not, which seemed reasonable. Unfortunately, I strongly advise against going to this place.

02/08/2026: Went on a date there because it looked cute, I ordered the Vegan French toast, vegan coco cream with strawberries and spéculoos. I'm lactose intolerant so I chose the vegan option right away. But couple bites into it my stomach started aching and I didn't know why because there wasn't supposed to be any lactose in it. Then I started wondering if the vegan bread was cooked in butter (which has lactose in it) cause the cramps were so bad I couldn't finish my plate. We paid and on the bike home i almost puked 😅 On the bright side the place looked cute and the waitress was kind :) But I don't think we'll go again unfortunately 😅 (it's very pricey too)

22/10/2026: I do not recommend this restaurant. The tarte flambée was not up to the standards of our region (canned mushrooms cooked in a pan before being placed on the tart), two cherry tomatoes on top...what was the point? To make it look pretty? 🤔 In short, it's a real shame because the restaurant is very well located and used to have a good reputation...

05/10/2026: Nice, but soulless. The place is spacious and clean, but rather impersonal. The waitress must have been having a bad day; getting a smile out of her was difficult. And her knowledge of the menu and wines was very limited. As for the food: the chef clearly has a better deal with his greengrocer than with his butcher. And his dishes are bland, tasteless, and soulless. In short, this isn't the kind of culinary experience I expect from a restaurant.

14/09/2026: We came on Saturday, September 12, 2026, as a group of three, and were very well received by the waiter. Léo was very professional, friendly, and attentive. The meal was also very good.

03/05/2026: The food was very good. There's no fixed menu. I ordered the Alsatian-style chicken breast, which came with green peas, mushroom sauce, morel mushrooms, and gnocchi. It was better than expected, just a little small in portion.

18/09/2026: A traditional, family-run restaurant with outstanding cuisine. Their specialty is matelotte, an Alsatian fish dish featuring various freshwater fish. Our matelotte consisted of eel, pike-perch, salmon, and rainbow trout, each expertly filleted. It was served with a very fine, delicate sauce and homemade, delicate pasta. The dish is served in two courses, ensuring the fish is always at the perfect temperature. The fish was cooked to perfection, incredibly flavorful, and succulent. We also had pike-perch fillet with the matelotte sauce, which was equally divine. This dish was accompanied by confit red cabbage – a true culinary delight. In short: fish simply cannot be prepared better; a truly exceptional restaurant. And all this at a more than fair price.
