24/03/2026: The food was very good, the beef steak was tender, tasty, cooked exactly as it should be. I gave it 4 stars because there was only one waiter for the terrace and he was clearly overwhelmed by the situation. There was a lot of chaos. I asked for the bill about 3 times, the waiter kept busy with other things and forgot.

24/03/2026: As a regular at the République restaurant, which is always excellent, this one was a disaster. The Welsh rarebit was dry and must have been sitting in the oven for two hours, and the fries were a tiny handful. We had to ask three times for drinks we ordered that weren't served, and then we got freshly baked bread. Not a single smile, and the waiter was smoking a cigarette right next to us, blowing smoke in our faces while we ate. Honestly, this is the worst broth I've ever had. They really need to improve their service.

15/02/2026: After a 10km hike in the rain and snow, having planned a break at this hostel, we found the doors closed at 4:30 pm, even though closing time was 6 pm. What a shame! Luckily, we hadn't planned to eat there.

01/03/2026: A very cute little chocolate museum in a suburb of Strasbourg. Unfortunately, all the workshops are in French, so we also booked a tasting at the restaurant. In hindsight, that wasn't really necessary. At the museum, we were able to sample various types of chocolate, pralines, and small chocolate candies. After that, we had absolutely no desire for cake or waffles. There's also a great shop there.

01/03/2026: Very disappointed 😞 The selection was mediocre; I wondered if the products were even fresh... The chocolates were runny and gooey. The cake was hard... I expected more fresh products and a wider variety of chocolates. The chocolate fountain wasn't great.

10/03/2026: The problem is that it's a restaurant frequented by regulars, and if you're not one of them, the service is slower and less pleasant. The dining room is very noisy. We waited 10 minutes just to get the menus to order an aperitif, and when we asked for them again, the owner wasn't very friendly in her response... Luckily, the flammekueche are very good. It's worth noting the absence of the Munster flammekueche on their menu...

05/01/2026: Fantastic experience at this restaurant for a family celebration. The owner is absolutely lovely. The Christmas decorations were incredible, and the meal was simply amazing, a truly authentic Alsatian experience. A wonderful discovery; I highly recommend it.

15/11/2025: A typical Alsatian restaurant with tarte flambée, pizza, and a changing menu. I find it a tad too expensive for what it offers, but ultimately it's good, home-style cooking with generous portions.

16/12/2025: This was my second time at this restaurant. It's a great find. Their set menu (starter, main course, dessert) works wonderfully and I find it quite refined!

16/12/2025: Over an hour's wait for our food. Expensive dishes for mediocre quality. A burger with frozen fries and just a soggy, barely lukewarm bun with a lettuce leaf and a patty. Not even cheese. We weren't asked how we were enjoying our meal. They probably know the quality is nowhere near what their prices suggest… As for the atmosphere, there's nothing intimate about it. It's not welcoming at all. The start of service is constantly interrupted by reservation calls from customers, which are put on speakerphone so everyone knows who's making a reservation 😂 The calls constantly interrupt the restaurant's background music. We were very disappointed because we had based our decision on the majority of positive reviews and the fact that the restaurant emphasizes "seasonal cuisine."

13/12/2024: We were very well received, it was really fair for the hour of service and yet the waitress and the cook were able to find a solution and restart 2 excellent sweet pancakes. The setting is cocooned and very pleasant, thank you ;)

17/12/2025: My team and I went to this restaurant for lunch to order the daily special. The interior doesn't really reflect the quality of the food… The restrooms aren't very well maintained, and there were a few cobwebs on the paintings in the dining room. However, the food itself is very good, with generous and delicious portions. It's a good option if you want a quick and easy meal (about an hour for a starter, main course, and dessert or coffee). The staff is very warm and friendly. I highly recommend it for families and construction teams. You'll need to make a reservation because it fills up very quickly!

25/12/2025: I'm here right now for Christmas Day. What can I say? Everything was great, the menu was fantastic, and everything was fresh. This is only my third time there. The staff is very professional and friendly, and it's one of the best restaurants for the price. I highly recommend it.

09/03/2026: A very bad experience. We were two adults with a baby and we simply sat down at a table for five. The waiter, who was particularly unpleasant, came over and told us to leave almost immediately, as if we were in the way. What's incomprehensible is that several other tables of five were occupied by only two or three people, without any problem whatsoever. Clearly, the rules aren't the same for everyone. There was absolutely no friendliness, no sense of hospitality, and even less understanding, especially since we were with a baby. A truly unacceptable attitude for someone who's supposed to work in the service industry. I strongly advise against going to this establishment.
