24/04/2026: Very disappointed with the setting. We went there for lunch. The lights in the restrooms didn't work for either the men's or women's rooms, and they didn't even have the proper way to change the bulbs so customers could use the restroom safely—a disgrace! There were cobwebs high up on the ceilings in the main room.

We waited 10 minutes just to get menus to order an aperitif, and when we asked for them again, the owner wasn't very friendly in her response... Luckily, the tarte flambée is very good. It's worth noting the absence of the Munster tarte flambée on their menu...

14/05/2026: It's changed a lot, I think. I found €25 expensive today; there's nothing more for that price. At one time you could find kangaroo and other great things for less, and now the dishes are lukewarm.

10/05/2026: An excellent restaurant. A varied menu with plenty of choice for both main courses and desserts! The portions are very generous for the price, and the food is delicious. The waiters and waitresses are very friendly and welcoming. Special mention goes to the exotic meat selection... it's great to be able to try meats that we don't usually see on our plates! We'll be back.

23/04/2026: A mixed experience. While the food was good, the way families are treated leaves much to be desired. The wait between courses was particularly long, but the waiter categorically forbade my children from playing a board game. When asked why, no concrete explanation (safety or space) was given, simply citing a legal prohibition. Yet, the law doesn't prohibit board games in a restaurant as long as they don't disrupt the service or disturb other customers, and especially since 11-year-olds don't play poker! It's a shame: imposing a long wait on children while refusing them the chance to play quietly makes the experience unpleasant. I wouldn't recommend this place to parents looking for a welcoming and flexible atmosphere.

12/10/2025: An excellent address: very warm welcome, homemade aperitif based on woodruff at the top, limited menu but everything is homemade and full of flavor. And you can buy terrine, apple juice and jams! After eating you can take a 7 km tour around the village (panoramic trail) with low difficulty and breathtaking views!

08/05/2026: Traditional Alsatian cuisine, but rather home-style. Okay for lunch, but if the atmosphere is the same in the evening, I'm not a big fan. Despite all the praise I'd heard about this restaurant, I didn't enjoy it as much as I'd expected. But it's still a good place for business lunches if you like a bit of noise.

He makes his living thanks to the customers, don't forget that, sir. I was invited, but personally, I won't be making the trip. So let's smile at life... A restaurant is supposed to be relaxing; if it isn't, let's stay home. We're supposed to cook for ourselves.

16/05/2026: We had higher hopes here. The service was incredibly unfriendly… when we politely asked if she spoke English, she made it very clear that she only spoke French and Spanish. Our table was then ignored for quite some time. Our table neighbors (French people) were treated attentively and kindly. Changing our food was simply not possible. I don't know if I've ever encountered a server with such an annoyed expression. We then opted for two tarte flambées (which you're supposed to order when you're here). Both tarte flambées were completely burnt, and they tasted like it, too. The toppings were unimaginative and bland. I've had better tarte flambées many times outside of Alsace. We didn't feel like dessert. So we got some ice cream from next door instead. Conclusion: If you don't speak French here, you're clearly not welcome. The food isn't worth the visit.

10/05/2026: We just came for a drink and felt like we were bothering some of the waitresses. The welcome wasn't great, with a "ha, just for a drink" kind of thing. If the welcome had been better, we probably would have stayed for a meal. They should have at least offered us a drink and then, if we wanted to stay and eat, a decent cocktail.

11/04/2026: Passing through Strasbourg, I had the brilliant idea of ​​going into this surprisingly empty brasserie in the heart of a bustling neighborhood... I should have known better. Considerable nonchalance and barely veiled arrogance! Here, you clearly get the impression that the customer is at the service of the staff, and not the other way around. Ultimately, the emptiness is perfectly understandable. Avoid at all costs.

18/07/2025: Pleasantly surprised, the presentation of the dining room, like a terrace, is worthy of a fine restaurant. The welcome was very pleasant and friendly; you immediately feel at ease. I highly recommend this restaurant, even if the trains are often there when you're on the terrace. I find it a minor detail, especially when you're being watched by the parrot and the toucan overhead, lol.
