06/10/2026: We arrived at 11:45 am on market day to have a drink... But the waitress immediately told us, "I know it's not the done thing, but you'll have to vacate the table by noon." 🤣🤣 She just didn't drink an aperitif in 15 minutes, especially when the sun is shining! ☀️ But no big deal, thanks to her, we found a great terrace nearby with very friendly staff where we had time to enjoy our aperitif and then had lunch... The FOX has a fantastic sunny terrace and they were very nice. We'll definitely go back when we're in Sélestat.

30/09/2026: Probably one of the worst experiences I've had in France. I live here and speak French, yet I was answered in English, in a particularly unpleasant tone. The coffee and desserts were frankly disappointing, not to mention the service. When I simply tried to sit at a table outside, a woman started gesturing wildly and curtly told me, "NO, sit inside." Such an unpleasant experience for a coffee and dessert is quite remarkable. I absolutely do not recommend this establishment.

12/09/2026: After a Saturday, around 10 a.m., no pastries? Don't go there if you're looking to wake up peacefully with a small pastry and a fresh orange juice.

08/08/2026: Excellent bakery! The cheesecake and rhubarb tarts are delicious, and the cookies are absolutely divine 😋 The display case is full and mouthwatering. The staff are very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The tea room is very spacious and perfectly peaceful. See you soon! Have a lovely rest of your day ☺️

06/10/2026: The establishment is located a couple of minutes' walk from the Intercity bus station. The staff is friendly and polite from early morning. The pastries are incredibly delicious. The space is very cozy, with a beautiful, simple interior. I'd especially like to point out the clientele. I don't know about the daytime, but this morning, it's exclusively French adults. They're intelligent and pleasant people. There's no desire to just grab a quick bite and leave. It's a wonderful, cozy place.

17/10/2026: I ordered a faux fillet which was tasty, with generous portions of fries and a fresh salad. A glass of Bordeaux wine. My wife had a gratinéed tarte flambé, also delicious. Espresso. Fair price and good service.

24/09/2026: First of all, thank you to all the staff present that day. A huge THANK YOU ❤️ We celebrated my daughter and son-in-law's wedding in this magnificent venue. The setting itself was stunning; there was no need to embellish it further. From beginning to end, everything was a success. The aperitif was superb, and our guests thoroughly enjoyed it. The main course was very tasty, and everyone loved it. And the dessert—what a beauty! A tiered cake and a main cake that were as beautiful as they were delicious. We greatly appreciated both their discretion and their availability throughout the evening. The managers are very accommodating, and we were able to have the evening exactly as we wished, while of course respecting the venue. The thoughtful touches for the bride and groom touched us deeply. The children's area was a big hit. The venue was impeccably clean. What more can I say? You played a huge part in making their wedding celebration absolutely perfect. 23/09/2026: We celebrated our wedding at the restaurant A l’Ange and everything was perfect! The setting is magnificent, and the meal was delicious from appetizer to dessert. A huge thank you for making our day so magical. I recommend it 100%!

24/05/2026: A good bakery for those who eat everything. Unfortunately, there were no vegan options, but they made me a baguette with jam (they offer it for breakfast). They don't have a bar service on Sundays.

21/06/2026: I stayed two nights in a female 6-people room. Overall I enjoyed my time here and would book it again - especially as a solo traveler. Here is what I liked: - the beds are comfortable, the sheets soft - the receptionists were friendly - nice location, easy to walk to from the city center and the main station. Also the neighborhood looks beautiful - the breakfast is a good selection, although expensive - we had two bathrooms in a room of 6 and stayed there with 3-4 people. That was a quite nice bathroom to person ratio - the bathrooms were clean too and looked rather modern / neutral - the other people staying in my room were very nice - I felt safe Here is what I would have preferred to be different: - there is no air conditioner in der room, it gets really hot during the day and if the night is warm too, it does not cool down, no matter how long the windows are opened. If someone has problems with heat at night I would not really recommend this place for a summer night. - you need a 1-euro coin to use the locker in the room. If I had known I would have brought one - there is no wifi in the rooms and the wifi in the rest of the building had no internet connection when I tried to connect. That could have been better

05/06/2026: Stay in a modern design hotel but with disadvantages in hot weather. I liked the modern design the 24 hour reception. The room was at the 3rd floor and during the days we stayed it was very hot outside and we couldn’t sleep. The room wasn’t air conditioned. Also the water in bath wasn’t stable and it changed from hot to cold and reverse. Breakfast must have more variety(eg juices nutella chocolate, hot egg crambles) and more hot dishes.

03/09/2026: We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance and were delighted. Good Alsatian food at moderate prices, very attentive service, and a place to linger among locals – highly recommended.

14/08/2026: The food was okay, and sitting on the terrace outside was quite pleasant, but the service—I'm sorry to say—was truly frustrating. Inattentive, slow; you get the feeling they're deliberately ignoring you. Furthermore, it's extremely odd that a "vegetarian plate" includes fish and seafood.

02/07/2026: Unpleasant bakery, expensive for frozen food, dirty, slow service. No air conditioning, which is unacceptable in this heat.

16/06/2026: We are regular customers of this bakery and were surprised by its rating. It's a traditional bakery; the bread is excellent, and the sweet and savory products are equally so. The ham and Emmental cheese sandwich is quite simply the best in Strasbourg. The doughnuts during Carnival are also exquisite. 5/5

08/03/2026: The tarte flambée was okay. In addition to the tarte flambée, which already had mushrooms and melted cheese, we also ordered bacon. We should have asked how much that would cost beforehand. Five euros seems too much. The service was alright, but there's definitely room for improvement. Overall, you don't feel very welcome. It's just a business establishment.
