03/07/2026: A place to forget. There was a huge argument in the kitchen when we arrived between the owner and his wife; we could hear shouting. Just close the restaurant then so other customers don't have to witness your domestic squabble. We come here to have a good time. We were offered drinks, but the owner, who was serving alone at first, didn't come back to serve them despite the heat. The food... how can I put it... it seemed to be the result of this huge argument... overcooked potato pancakes. Salads and raw vegetables without dressing, and the "bibeleskass" (a type of cheesecake) had turned into just plain cottage cheese with chives and no seasoning whatsoever. After I pointed this out to the owner, he made a scene in front of other people. The bread had been defrosted and put in the oven; it too was overcooked and even remained white in the center (the rapid defrosting). I definitely won't be going back! And please know, Mr. Christophe, that this is no way to run a restaurant. Your behavior was unacceptable, and your meal certainly suffered because of your bad mood and lack of skill. In this profession, you have to know how to give, to enjoy yourself, and to receive. We saw none of that! This place should be banned! Lack of quality in every aspect of the restaurant! The customer shouldn't have to put up with this, sir! People come here to enjoy themselves, whether it's the welcome or the food, remember that!

12/06/2026: This is an experience we won't be repeating. We had a group of 36 people booked three months in advance and had been in contact with the owner, Christophe. We had reserved the menu: salt beef. First disappointment: no welcome from the owner, the least he could have done. But apparently, he preferred to finish his meal rather than greet us. His customer service was nonexistent. I'd even say he was rather indifferent. Then came the meal: the salt beef was tough, rubbery, and very sinewy. It was like beef or cow that had jumped over the fences. To top it all off, no thank you, as the owner must have been very tired and absent-minded, just like he had been from the start. If there are ghost customers, this was the ghost owner. On the plus side, the waiter was friendly and very approachable. The moral of the story for groups: steer clear and go somewhere else. Even as a couple, we won't be returning. This place is now on our blacklist.

08/08/2026: Excellent bakery! The cheesecake and rhubarb tarts are delicious, and the cookies are absolutely divine 😋 The display case is full and mouthwatering. The staff are very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The tea room is very spacious and perfectly peaceful. See you soon! Have a lovely rest of your day ☺️

07/08/2026: Arrived at the end of service, received a warm welcome, top-notch service for top-notch food, and very affordable prices. Thank you for this tasting; the casserole was a real treat. I highly recommend it.

05/08/2026: The meaning of service? Never heard of it. The staff are incredibly unpleasant; you definitely get the impression you're bothering them. Absolutely avoid this place.

04/08/2026: Always a great experience. The food is good, the cooking is just a touch less salt and it would be perfect for me. Nevertheless, I recommend the restaurant for its service, good wines, and generous portions.

29/07/2026: Clean rooms, no air conditioning, bar and restaurant closed. No reception. In 7 days I saw one (1) employee only once. In the room the air conditioning was replaced by a 20 cm fan. Hotel to be used only if there is no alternative.

23/07/2026: Room booked for a stay at Europa-Park, located about 30 minutes away by car. The location is ideal: everything is close by in Erstein, especially shops. As for the room, it's adequate for the price. It's clear they've tried to modernize it, but a few improvements are still needed, particularly regarding the blankets, which are outdated and uncomfortable. The rest is satisfactory, although the bed could be a bit bigger. The bathroom is quite modern. The main drawbacks concern cleanliness: the room hadn't been dusted, and we saw three spiders in three nights. This is definitely something that needs improvement. Despite this, I recommend this establishment for its excellent value for money, its convenient location, and its friendly and welcoming staff.

07/09/2026: We had two cordon bleu with a Munster cheese sauce. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I can't wait to go back. To try another dish.

05/09/2026: The meal was nice, but the waiter was neither pleasant nor customer-oriented! He snatched our glasses from the table without asking if we wanted anything else.

14/04/2026: A friendly, simple restaurant offering excellent value for money at lunchtime or in the evening. Very efficient.

17/03/2026: A very hearty and convivial meal; I highly recommend it for meat lovers. Excellent service!

20/02/2026: Lunch today at La Porte Haute in Sarre-Union, and frankly, a very good experience. Generous and high-quality cuisine: perfectly cooked escalope in cream sauce, golden fries, a delicious dessert with ice cream and whipped cream, and a good coffee to finish. A special mention also goes to the simple but satisfying starter. Pleasant, quick, and professional service. A friendly atmosphere; you feel right at home. A reliable spot in Sarre-Union; I'll definitely be back.

16/08/2026: Art Café at the Strasbourg Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art is a very pleasant place to stop before or after exploring the museum. The interior feels open, spacious, and relaxed, which makes it an easy place to sit for a while without feeling cramped or rushed. The rooftop view was the real highlight, offering a great perspective over Strasbourg and making the café feel like more than just a convenient museum add-on. What I also liked was how naturally the café leads into the museum experience itself. The entrance flows directly towards the galleries, and the museum beyond turned out to be genuinely impressive, making the café a very fitting starting point. As for the food, no notes—it did exactly what it needed to do. Pleasant space, excellent rooftop view, and a very good gateway into one of Strasbourg’s stronger cultural stops.

30/07/2026: We arrived in the museum while it was closed for lunch till 14:00 . With heatwave outside of 37 c we were really desperate not to go back out and were suggested this caffe. We font speak french and were not really hungry so had no idea how it would go. We asked if we can just order coffee and received a super warm welcome . One if the servers spike really good english and was super kind. I asked about smoked salmon salad and when she learned i was not very hungry i was offered a half portion for 10 euros. It was such a good choice. One if the best if not the best dish if this kind i have had. Good quality smoked salmon delicious potato roti fresh salad. Big thank you to this place and staff for helping us survive the heat
