03/09/2024: A very nice discovery! And a beautiful table The dishes are superbly well presented. The taste of the products is present and they are fresh and seasonal. We can only recommend. The boss in the room is very pleasant!

01/09/2024: A restaurant that deserves to be known, very good cuisine that respects the products, perfectly mastered cooking, flavor combinations that work perfectly (scallops on citrus risotto, well done). All without fuss, in a relaxed atmosphere. The value for money is correct, a special mention for the prices of the aperitifs and wines which are quite reasonable and allow you to indulge yourself. Small update following our new visit to l'Apogée, congratulations for the cuisine, it's always a pleasure to eat at your place and taste your new dishes, and I also appreciate having a very good choice of wines to the glass. The service is impeccable, I forgot to mention it the first time. We'll come back.

27/11/2024: Venue pour fêter mon anniversaire avec ma famille (dont 4 enfants de 4 à 9 ans) nous avons passées une magnifique soirée, la cuisine est raffinée et délicieuse et le service très aimable très professionnel. On y reviendra c'est sûre ; )

10/10/2024: Nous avions pour habitude de fêter notre anniversaire de mariage dans ce lieu cosy où les mets sont délicieux et un plaisir pour les papilles. Malheureusement au fil des années la carte reste inchangée, cela est fort dommage.

18/12/2024: The restaurant is very welcoming, we ate very well from starter to dessert, the quality and quantity was there, neither too much nor too little on the plate, a pleasant menu, a simple and unfussy atmosphere and a wine list and good advice for choosing wine. 13/09/2024: An unassuming gem of French cuisine. Anyone expecting a 5-star atmosphere with a multi-page menu will be disappointed. But anyone who listens to the advice of the extremely friendly service and orders a typical Alsatian meal will be thrilled. The escargots and the tarte flambée au Munster tasted delicious. All in all an insider tip.

01/10/2024: A very beautiful place, in the middle of lush greenery. Possibility of taking walks in the forest, starting from the hotel. Very warm and professional welcome, as well as the service. We had a 4 course dinner with matching wine. The entire menu was very good in taste and very well presented as well as the wine and food pairing was respected. We were dealing with very conscientious and professional people. In the garden, there is the possibility of relaxing on a deckchair or a hammock...and also enjoying the Patagonia bath and the sauna. Great discovery for us and to be repeated of course

21/08/2024: It's hard to understand some of the reviews... We have been regular customers for years, and behind the stove there is a real cook who loves what he does! It's just excellent and in more than enough quantity. If you like local and well-made cuisine, don't hesitate. People who “are in the trade” and criticize, I think you are not at all in the trade to say such things about such dishes. Never disappointed, price consistent with quality and quantity…. Bravo to you and don’t change anything, we will come back again and again! Being “of the trade” :)

12/08/2024: We just had the Strasbourg salad and sorbet for dessert. But when I was looking for the toilet the boss called out to me and said: "honey it's on the right, behind the curtain!!" and added "since you're of a certain age"!! I like to joke but for a restaurateur to address his customers in this way, a total lack of respect!! No one will see me there again!!

03/11/2024: Je suis venu à l'auberge de l'Illwald avec mon Papa, 20 ans après y être venu avec un ami. Le site est très beau, soigneusement entretenu, fleuri et deux chiens mignons nous ont gentiment accueillis. Ils voulaient jouer à la balle et étaient amusants et étaient très bien élevés. Ils attendaient patiemment. Le restaurant tout en boiseries avec de belles peintures est chaleureux, de même que l'accueil et le service. Une salle moderne avec de grandes baies vitrées donnant sur la nature et réservée aux banquets complète le lieu. La carte est présentée sur ardoise avec un large choix d'entrées, de plats et desserts. Le type de cuisine est bistronomique avec aussi des propositions plus classiques comme la choucroute. Les prix correspondent à la qualité des mets servis. Nous nous sommes régalés et avons passé un très bon moment ! J'ai déjà envie d'y retourner car la carte évolue régulièrement.

06/10/2024: Das Essen war sehr gut und die Bedienung sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Leider hatten wir trotz Reservation 4 Monate zuvor (!) einen richtig schlechten Tisch. Schade und irgendwie unverständlich, denn die Begründung, dass alle so früh reserviert hatten, ist irgendwie nicht sehr glaubhaft.
