19/08/2024: We worked in the area years ago so returned to show our daughter what great places Alsace and Basel are. Au Boeuf Rouge was one of our favourites in before 2010 and thankfully hasn't changed. Still great food and service. It helps if you can speak a little French of course, but our host was very helpful and we had a great evening. Our daughter finished her meal which is not common. Thanks for your hospitality and great food.

30/05/2024: One word: xenophobic. Did not even get served even though the restaurant was empty at 7pm. Would not recommend to those visiting during Olympic Games and who have difficulty understanding/speaking French.

03/11/2024: Our family wedding meal simply but perfectly. It was joyful, good, welcoming, and friendly. The waitresses are really adorable and the food is very generous and very good. Well done and thank you 👌

16/12/2024: Good morning Relatively mixed. The mussels weren't bad but the quantity remains totally disrespectful coming from a large group! The waitress was very good! I still remain disappointed and will not come back...

14/12/2024: Not at all happy 20€ for a small square of salmon and a few mussels I left feeling hungry this is not normal, I asked for bread just to eat at least a few things I was told that There was some cooking but we were never served it, plus we had to wait 50 minutes before being served, only positive point the waiter was friendly.

14/09/2024: Eaten there several times, buffets not bad especially meat and fish otherwise too bad too much frozen food, nuggets not great. Dessert buffet too bad, I had ice cream... Because I had already tasted the rest. Take restaurant ticket card. I will go back but not immediately and I now know what to take and what not to take. Welcoming staff. But for good eaters it’s good.

26/08/2024: I am deeply disappointed. Being familiar with farm inns, I notice that the meal does not meet expectations at all, perhaps it is suitable for tourists, but certainly not for locals. The 25 euro menu offers a very light and flavorless starter. As for the main course, although the meat is ok, the potatoes are bathed in fat. Also, the blueberry pie was not homemade; There are clearly much better places in the region. The service is plated, which has nothing to do with the experience of a farm inn: I recommend you look elsewhere.

17/12/2024: Quality and spacious room. Beautiful location. But then what a welcome.... a lady of a certain age, I suppose the manager, with a friendliness that would scare people away... and also openly criticizes the other employees in front of customers, very shameful.. The breakfast really doesn't live up to the setting, nothing is homemade, low-end cheeses, orange juice too.

16/12/2024: Decent hotel, tasty, fresh half-board meals, home-cooked food. Pleasant and relaxing view of the valley and the forest. Very good value for money. The only downside was that there was no shower gel in the shower dispenser. Staff available and cordial. Address to recommend despite everything.

01/03/2024: Pleasant boss but defrosted products. We took a daily menu to be sure of freshness and were very disappointed: frozen and white salmon with an industrial sauce, vegetables in water, for dessert there were not enough tarts left for everyone even though announced in the departure menu, obliged for one to have a dessert at extra cost because the person did not like the dessert offered instead of the tarts planned at the start. When the pies arrive: rancid pies, soggy dough and a taste of the past. Odor of petroleum due to auxiliary heaters. We won't come back.

21/07/2024: For a hotel picked off on the internet we couldn’t have made a better choice. Right in the centre of town for the solstice music festivities that we had no idea was going on! Knowing we had a secure base for the bike and our gear meant that we could get out and explore the town. Our one night stop over just didn’t allow us enough time to fully explore, but Colmar is like stepping back into the 15th century (give or take a century or two). It is like a time warp and is so beautiful. Great restaurants and, at this festival time, different music at almost every street corner. We’ll certainly be back (by car - I can’t stand the rain as the song goes) and take more time to explore the town using the wonderful Hotel Rapp as our base. You should visit too 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

12/07/2024: Very bad experience in this hotel: arrival at 11 p.m. - clogged shower which floods the bathroom... (see photos) emergency room change at midnight - again shower which overflows in the new room the next evening... We are asking for compensation because the room costs €152 per night… The staff present tell us they are the breakfast team because of a lack of staff Unable to contact management. This hotel is a very old house (see photos) which if it were not in Colmar would not survive
