06/07/2024: Celebrated our finishing the Tour du Mont Blanc. Both the hotel and restaurant are wonderful. The waiter did initially not give us menus or drinks but realized his mistake and from then on service was perfect. The food was also delicious.

09/09/2024: After renting a paddle at Arena (right next to the bar), we decided to have a family drink with our labrador. There were very few customers but as soon as we arrived, the bartender stared at us without any response to our hello. I thought the dog was a problem so I kindly asked if we could move in? He nodded at us to indicate his agreement but I sensed him irritated. After a few moments, we were treated to an arrogant remark from him: “so you didn’t see my sign at the entrance! ". Apparently we should have waited to be assigned a place. Unless I'm mistaken, when you come from the aquatic club, there is no sign asking you to wait. We were in a good mood when we arrived but left disappointed. basic and expensive cocktails!

02/09/2024: Don’t be fooled by the storefront and don’t hesitate to come inside and enjoy it. We tried the berthoud, the scallops and the duck… everything is a treat, hearty, homemade and there is something for everyone. All this served by a very friendly owner and for a reasonable price…what more could you want?

02/09/2024: Ne vous fiez pas à la devanture et n’hésitez surtout pas à rentrer pour vous régaler. Nous avons testé le berthoud, les Saint-Jacques et le canard…tout est un régal, copieux, fait maison et il y en a pour tous les goûts. Tout ça servi par une patronne très sympa et pour un prix raisonnable….que vouloir de mieux

02/07/2024: We had a perfect lunch in a pleasant and adorable interior. Great food served with a smile. One of the best restaurants in the Megeve area for a decent price. We will be back regularly.

11/06/2024: Superb chalet with a warm atmosphere inside. Typical Savoyard dish. The exterior is quite ugly with the Coca Cola plastic tables and chairs, but the interior is totally different.

22/09/2024: Were invited to dinner. Rustic decor. Friendly, courteous staff. Starter of foie gras served as a small burger. The food was beautifully prepared and came to everyone (5 people) at the same time. Basically, all dishes are prepared with little salt. Personally, it was too economical for me, but a salt and pepper mill can be added upon request. If you take the high price level in France as a basis, the overall price including the desserts was ok, but it is not cheap. So you should take a look at the menu beforehand. Still worth a visit.

15/08/2024: We were recommended this restaurant but the delight was short-lived. Certainly the room is pretty with beautiful dishes but even being the first in service, the starters were already no longer available. As for wine, we choose a blackcurrant white wine. What a surprise, the bottle they brought us was from the 2014 vintage. Needless to say, it was outdated. In the end we had hoped for a nice surprise for dessert but we are still looking for the lemon in the lemon tart. In the end, if you like paying a lot to have the impression of having been in a good restaurant then go for it, this place is for you. We didn't enjoy it.

25/08/2024: We were disappointed with the quality of the meal... Dried donuts, and non-homemade blueberry pie. The waitresses not very welcoming. Too bad we expected better. The place remains pleasant.

28/12/2023: Do not take this hotel. It was really worst hotel, i have ever visit. When we come to parking, i did jokes thet this is type of accomodation, where you will find dead person under your bed and blod and hairs in the shower. It was partly true 😳 we had black hairs in our bed, also in the shower. It is really small room, without nois insulation so you can hear ecerything. Bad and absolutelly unconfortable bed was wery thin and hard, pillows was like to be filling by balls... My son had astmathic attack from air in the room and like a cherry on the cake, we had activated fire alarm in some of the rooms at half past nine PM. There was not any staff to check if everything is safe, so we waited half of hour in jacket with 3 years old sleeping son ( 2°C) , if everything will be ok. Therrible experience and absolutelly not funny.!!!! THIS IS NOT A GOOD WAY HOW TO SAVE MONNEY!!!!!!

14/09/2024: As someone who loves savory foods, I enjoyed a delicious little ham and mushroom pizza which I enjoyed cold. There is also a large choice of pastries but also salads, sandwiches, etc. that can be heated and have room to sit.

11/06/2024: The sliding door of your restaurant damaged my friend's new ski mask (the whole story in the comments below). No response from you despite the numerous emails sent to make your civil liability insurance work. No commercial gesture or compassion on your part. Here it is, eat, pay, get out. Too bad because being local we would strongly advise against your establishment.

09/05/2024: Very disappointed with the owner of this establishment. We ate here on the way down from skiing. We had put our masks and helmets on the table next to us to start but as people arrived, the waitress asked us to take them off. There is no place other than on our own table. During the meal, by surprise the automatic door next to us moves and knocks over our things. My ski mask, which had only been used a few times, is scratched (and not just a little). I'm going to politely ask him if it's possible to get the restaurant's civil insurance. He gets directly defensive, tells me that it won't work because it's my fault if my mask is on the table (there was no other place to put it, for a restaurant at the bottom of the slopes it 's not very smart). After discussion he agrees to give me his email address so that I can send him the invoice for my mask. What I do when I get home. After a week, no news. So I go back to the restaurant but he is absent, I leave him a note. He replies to me by email that after viewing the cameras he is certain that the insurance will not cover it because we see that it is me who puts the mask on the table. He tells me that he still made the request to his insurance. I ask him for proof that he made the request but for two weeks no news from him. I would like to point out that he also made no move on the final bill for the meal, which was still substantial, and was really rude to me. This gentleman is really neither commercial nor accommodating. It didn't cost him anything to have his insurance work. I still hope that he will respond to my last email but I doubt it. I wouldn't come back. Too bad because the Savoyard crust was very good.

01/09/2024: Je suis profondément déçue par ma récente visite dans cette restaurant. Dès notre arrivée, le service s'est montré très peu accueillant et clairement désintéressé. Le personnel ne nous a même pas proposé le menu du jour, ce qui est pourtant une pratique courante dans les restaurants en France. Ce qui est encore plus choquant, c'est la différence flagrante dans le traitement réservé aux clients en fonction de leur nationalité. Nous avons été traités de manière très désagréable et comme des clients de second rang, simplement parce que nous ne sommes pas Français. Voir le personnel être amical et attentif envers les autres tables, composées uniquement de Français, alors qu'on nous ignorait presque, était extrêmement blessant. De plus, j'ai été scandalisée de voir une mention dans le menu indiquant un supplément de 12 euros pour le partage d'un plat. Cela me semble non seulement abusif, mais probablement illégal. C'est un comportement que je n'avais jamais rencontré auparavant dans mes nombreuses visites de restaurants à travers le pays. Face à un tel accueil et à ces pratiques douteuses, nous avons pris la décision de quitter les lieux avant même de passer commande. C’est vraiment dommage, car nous étions impatients de découvrir les plats proposés. Cette expérience a été particulièrement désagréable, et je ne recommande absolument pas cet établissement.

16/08/2024: Excellent meals and warm welcome! The boss was accommodating by welcoming us without us having made a reservation even though the restaurant was almost full.

19/01/2025: I'm alone so I'm placed at a table at the very back next to the gutter where I get freezing water. Then I wait 15 minutes without a sign from the waitress so I get up to ask her to take my order and she only then tells me that for drinks it can be done directly at the bar. I order and after 10 minutes I say to myself that I would like to nibble something... I had to wait for the waitress to deign to look at me to succeed in eating it. Another 20 minutes of waiting and the owner comes back to see me asking me what I wanted to eat because the waitress forgot what I had ordered... And presto we start again from 0. When I finally have my poor plate of donuts of potatoes, the waitress offers me sauces... 10 minutes of waiting and the sauces of course never arrived. The donuts were cold and disgusting because they were bathed in oil, but that's nothing compared to the deplorable service; especially since when I arrived the terrace was far from being crowded.
