09/09/2026: Returned to eat there this time. Warm welcome, delicious and generous meal. The chicken with Maroilles cheese is truly exquisite. Rock 'n' roll atmosphere. Absolutely fantastic!

04/10/2026: Hey! How about popping into KFC for a Krunchy for €2.50, as displayed on the Drive-Thru kiosk? Oh wait, no, it's not €2.50 anymore because the price has gone up! And you only realize it when you confirm your order. It's not the fault of the very friendly Drive-Thru attendant, nor the fault of the (Shift?) Manager… But there's no gesture of goodwill to apologize, and basically, you pay, and that's that. I therefore urge you to consult Article L. 112-1 of the French Consumer Code and update your prices immediately if you don't want to see other unhappy customers who, like us, leave without their Krunchy. Can we count on you, and especially on your business acumen, to match the price next time?

30/09/2026: Delighted to have discovered my first Welsh rarebit (a large one) here! I really enjoyed the Maroilles cheese tart (Goyère) and the grey shrimp croquette. The welcome was very pleasant and friendly. The portions are very generous! The fries are a little short, I think. The toilet seat is slippery, which is a bit unpleasant, but it's clean. The bill is a bit steep, but I get the impression that it's in line with prices throughout Lille. In short, I highly recommend eating there; we had a lovely time.

28/09/2026: We received a very warm welcome; the two staff members were lovely and offered excellent advice. We even had the chance to chat with the chef, who brought us our desserts. You can really feel his passion and desire to share new culinary experiences with his customers! The dishes were perfect, with a special mention for the meat, which was incredibly tender and bursting with flavor. There was a short wait between the appetizers and main courses, but the restaurant was full. We'll be back.

03/09/2026: I had breakfast there yesterday. The person who greeted me was friendly. I had a slice of pistachio and raspberry cake—delicious! Moist and flavorful! And a slice of carrot cake that was amazing!! I usually find carrot cake heavy, but this was very light and incredibly tasty. The place is clean and pleasant.

31/08/2026: Great atmosphere, nice decor, pleasant welcome and service, very friendly staff. A minor complaint: the mussels could have been a little hotter, but very good nonetheless, and €13 cheaper than in Koksijde!

09/09/2026: One Monday at lunchtime, "For two? Did you make a reservation? I'll check." A very warm welcome, a lovely place, good traditional regional cuisine, and good local beer. Quick, friendly, and welcoming service. Each time I've returned to the North this year, I've had great experiences: Crespin in April, Laon, Maroilles, Pont-sur-Sambre, and Aulnoye-Aymeries in July, and Jenlain on August 31st. Thank you.

05/09/2026: A fantastic restaurant! The food is delicious and homemade. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. This restaurant was recommended to us by our Airbnb host (Sam and Lili's), and we have absolutely no regrets. If you want to eat exceptionally well, you have to go! 😍

15/10/2026: The surprise was a friendly place where you can relax with homemade dishes, which is important to me. You feel right at home with very good food, the carbonnade was excellent. I spotted several interesting dishes, and today, in addition to dessert, the dessert of the day was perfect (as pictured). Homemade carbonnade with tender meat and homemade sauce—you can't go wrong! I arrived a bit timidly because I was in my work clothes and didn't dare go in, but I was greeted with a smile. The cook was super friendly, and the waitress was attentive, making sure everything was alright. What kindness! Frankly, I eat out a lot, so quality is important to me, and sometimes I'm disappointed, but not this time. There's no risk of being disappointed. You can go there, 10/10 for the traditional option. I'll definitely be back, and not alone. As for the price, which is the bottom line, a main course, drink, dessert, and two coffees with cream is €28 without the two coffees, €24. It's a good deal. Main courses are €15. Honestly, they're nice, there are cheaper options, like fast food (it's up to you, I've seen it), the decor takes you back to childhood, the old furniture, the 70s cash register, I love it, you feel comfortable.

20/09/2026: Nice little restaurant. Attentive but slow service. Good value for money. The duck fillets were overcooked. The zucchini crisp was too greasy.

01/10/2026: Delightful little cafe specializing in a counter full of handmade desserts. We enjoyed the carrot cake and big cookie. The coffee was good as well, so it was a fun place to stop for sweets near the art museum. We look forward to trying their other location, Banana Drama.

30/09/2026: Exceptionally friendly and quick staff. I was entitled to a free hot drink upon showing the Routard guide, as stated. She knew nothing about it, but I got it anyway. And with a smile. Delicious, unique teas. Food brought quickly (it was very quiet because of the rain, I think). Toilet OK, Wi-Fi available on request. The pastries looked good, but I was already full. I will definitely come back here again.
