11/08/2025: Excellent butcher shop with excellent products. A must-visit for a quality barbecue. All the products are fresh and everything is clean. I particularly recommend the marinated bacon.

09/07/2025: The menu was tempting, but as soon as we were seated, the staff were unfriendly. Cutlery was thrown at us and distributed like everything else. Nothing was really cooked. A shame.

The service during the meal was very good, however, when it came time to pay, the person behind the cash register didn't even look at us or say a word, which I found unfortunate. In terms of the quality of the dish, we were quite disappointed with the cooking of the mussels. They were rubbery, and I think they had been cooked several times. Be careful.

28/09/2024: Recommended by one of this restaurant's acquaintances, Nenin. We booked yesterday for the evening of September 28. First approach correct, but arrangement of our seats in a veranda at the entrance to the kitchens (noise, noisy cooks...). Being sick with a brain tumor, we told the very friendly waitress that we were sick and that we might get cold. She claims to make sure the back door is closed... First pass was the ventilation. The waitress went to see her boss, and despite his explanations we had to stay in this veranda. We left the place. Too bad for this lack of tolerance, 4 customers definitely absent.

28/09/2024: Hello.. Very disappointed with this place. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to taste their cuisine. Having reserved a table of 4 during our stay, we were given a pitiful table between the kitchens. Noisy and cold as a restaurant location. We called this nice waitress to explain to her that our friend was suffering from cancer and that she couldn't stand drafts. The boss, I think very unpleasant, refused to change tables. I find it unacceptable to find yourself on the sidelines without any consideration, like outcasts near the kitchens.. Lamentable and disappointing, in short I advise you against it

03/12/2025: If you pay close attention, you'll sense the unspoken invitation from the men in the dining room to join in a devotion to the cook, who works with the generosity and love of a mother. But how does she manage to produce such a menu at this price? It almost seems inappropriate to leave a tip after such a gift. Love can't be bought.

11/11/2025: The best value for money I've found in Nîmes in the last 10 years for a lunchtime restaurant. A simple, family-style menu, a price under €15, and delicious home-style cooking...what a treat! I highly recommend it.

12/09/2025: One of the few restaurants in the area open on Sundays, the food is very simple, the menu basic, but the food is decent. The place lacks lighting; fortunately, the tones are light, otherwise it would have been far too dark. The service was a bit slow for the small group of us, and the duck andouillette was out. The pasta lacked seasoning, and the tiramisu was unfortunately a bit too sweet. In terms of ambiance, some background music would make the place a little less cold.

19/10/2025: A gift from our last Christmas, we were finally able to appreciate it by visiting this Auberge Gardoise, a place we'd walked past so often, during the week. Excellent welcome, in a very well-lit and superbly renovated room, without unnecessary frills. Then, from starter to dessert, a festival of flavors using locally sourced products, prepared on-site in the most beautiful way possible. We'll be back...

30/12/2025: Le Clos de l'Ecureuil: a setting, a warm welcome, a delight for the senses. Each dish enchants the palate, and the nose and eyes are filled with pleasure... a moment of pure bliss. Le Clos has been a part of our family life. While we understand that retirement will come one day, we'll have to do without it now, and we'll miss stepping through the door of this gourmet haven very much. Thank you both so much for all these shared moments.
