05/10/2025: I'm sorry this establishment is closing; we were regulars. I hope to see them again in another restaurant.

22/09/2026: The brunette waitress with blue eyes is helpful, no complaints there, but the food leaves much to be desired… The blonde, who I assume is the owner, is incredibly unprofessional. She even told me on several occasions that she gave away a piece of meat that wasn't cooking properly, and that her dog ate it just fine… I doubt that's what you'd expect from a decent establishment. It's not what it used to be.

19/09/2026: Nothing to complain about. The price/quality ratio is good, whether you choose a set menu or individual dishes. Best of luck to the friendly team, who are very attentive to their customers.

20/09/2026: I came to dine at this cozy and charming restaurant, where the welcome was genuine and warm. What can I say about the dish, except that it was delicious? Flavorful and generous, so much so that we would have happily ordered a second helping. Thank you for this simple yet delightful experience.

28/08/2026: First visit, and we were hoping there was a problem...because: 2.5 hours in total, a 1-hour wait to order, and the appetizers arrived incomplete. The same for the main courses. And yet the restaurant was far from full... But the food was generous and flavorful. Would we go back? Maybe, if the organization is better.

04/10/2026: Disappointed by the food, and especially, look up—there are enormous cobwebs on the left side of the dining room. It doesn't make me want to come back at all if the kitchen is in the same state. The waiters should be dressed a bit better for a restaurant of this caliber. And the chef shouldn't be eating from a bowl at the end of service in front of us.

03/10/2026: A wonderful time at Le Galibot in Lens! The meat was incredibly tender, and the desserts were delicious too—a real treat. There wasn't much of a wait, and the service was quick and efficient. We had a fantastic time. I highly recommend it!

07/08/2026: It's a shame about the crème fraîche; we would have hoped for "homemade" crème fraîche, in keeping with the "artisanal" label.

07/08/2026: Excellent ice cream!! It's rare to find a yogurt flavor these days, but this one is excellent!! I also want to highlight the friendly staff and their artisanal approach. I don't regret the 40-minute round trip drive just for this ice cream!! Go for it without hesitation 😻 (In the photo, we've already made a good start on the ice cream; the portions are very generous, wow!)

23/10/2026: I won't be going back... The quality of the food is unfortunately overshadowed by an unpleasant welcome and shoddy service (fries thrown on clothes, friction between staff members, deplorable table setting...).

22/10/2026: For a first visit, I was really not disappointed, everything went very well, I can't wait to come back.

18/05/2026: The welcome was warm and the bedding quite comfortable. However, there was a major disappointment upon arrival in the room: no television, without any prior notification from the hotel. No compensation was offered for this inconvenience, which is regrettable.

09/10/2026: We stumbled in for lunch. Main course and dessert The poultry was perfectly cooked and the mashed potatoes were excellent. Dessert was very good. Friendly welcome. Locally sourced ingredients. There were nine of us, and we all highly recommend this place. A wonderful discovery, located on a lovely square.

30/09/2026: Everything was perfect. The welcome, the service, the courtesy, and the food too. I came by chance and will gladly return.

14/06/2026: Not a good visit whereas previous visits have been enjoyable. When my steak arrived I was alarmed at the smell. It didn't smell like charred beef, it smelled strongly as if it was off. (Old, stale and very smelly.) Two small bites and I realised I couldn't eat it. Also the béarnaise sauce was in a tiny pot and bore no resemblance to what it should have been. Staff were fine, asked if I'd like something else. Burger arrived, it was ok. I've had much better. Then came the bill... They charged me 50% of the beef steak that "I didn't like" rather than accepting it was inedible. Also charged me for the burger. Beyond cross. That is not how you treat customers. I have rarely ever returned anything in a restaurant and to be charged 50% for a failed dish is beyond my comprehension. No, I will not be returning to the Darnetal.

23/05/2026: A very pleasant stay; the staff were responsive and friendly. The restaurant menus are excellent and very good value for money. The inn is in a lovely setting with a pretty park. The rooms are simple but comfortable; it's best to choose a room upstairs.

19/05/2026: A horrible, not to mention traumatic, experience. We had planned our wedding there. The first meeting was absolutely perfect. After paying the deposit, the second meeting involved an unpleasant and racist staff member. We had to cancel the wedding. Avoid at all costs.
