16/09/2025: 10-12 mins from Calais port. Checkin at 1.30am no problem. The reception was polite and friendly. Room was as expected. Basic, clean and comfortable. Ideal for a stop over after a long drive from the UK. Continental breakfast served from 6am to about 10am was good. Even the cool pancakes were tasty. No cooked breakfast. Free parking available but spaces are limited and some bays are slim. Highly recommend this place for a night stop over.

23/02/2026: The welcome at the bar before we sat down to eat was very poor; the woman, clearly nearing retirement, couldn't stand working anymore. However, the meal more than made up for it; we appreciated the variety of starters and the choice of main courses. The prices were very reasonable. We'll come back, but we won't be having drinks at the bar.

06/02/2026: We sat down for a drink and were very surprised by the state of cleanliness: under the tables, there were food scraps (cheese, ham), chocolate stains, greasy tables… The hygiene was frankly appalling, and this isn't the first time we've noticed it. The leftovers were from lunchtime, but it was already 4:00 PM when we arrived. When we pointed this out, the response was to blame the customers, without any self-reflection or immediate cleaning, which is hardly acceptable in an establishment that serves food and drinks. The service was just as disappointing: confusing organization and our receipt was taken by a waitress who hadn't even served us, solely to correct a 5-cent difference, all in a very unprofessional manner. It's a shame, because the place could be pleasant, but between the lack of hygiene and the staff's attitude, the experience fell short.

15/03/2026: Very disappointing service. We wanted to sit down and have a drink. Once seated, I simply asked the woman at the bar if it would be possible to heat my baby's bottle. Her response was very curt: "No, I don't have time, it's not the right time to heat a bottle." Seeing the situation, a colleague came over to ask us what we needed. We asked him the same question, and he replied that they only had ovens and no microwaves here! The refusal itself is understandable, but the way they spoke to customers is truly regrettable. A little courtesy wouldn't hurt.

14/03/2026: Hello, first of all, the welcome was excellent. I was very well received. The food is very good, the desserts are seasonal, and when raspberries are in season, there's a very good raspberry charlotte. The after-dinner drinks are very good. Highly recommended.

24/02/2026: I came in last night for a double rousti and a Welsh rarebit. I was looking for my credit card in my bag when the cashier accused me of stealing "a petit four." She asked us to empty our bags, and when she found nothing, she offered no apology. It's shameful. Besides, the Welsh rarebit wasn't good; there was hardly any cheese. Accusing someone without proof, and with the supervisor's approval no less, is unacceptable. You'd think it would have made a difference to the cashier's salary. In short, avoid this terrible restaurant.

23/02/2026: We arrived at 11:00 AM and were told to wait until 11:30 AM. When service finally arrived at 11:30 AM, no one was ready to serve us. The fries had been cooked for the staff, but they were cold for the customers. No one bothered to heat them up for the customers. We were given our plates and then left to wait. In short... Furthermore, a Welsh rarebit for €13.95 is frankly a rip-off. They give you two slices of bread with hardly any cheddar!

11/10/2025: I really liked the variety of pizzas. The Bologna and Romana are very nice. On the other hand, I'm not against dogs in a restaurant, but seeing people petting them not wash their hands before going back behind the bar bothers me.

17/02/2026: AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! I'd seen the bad reviews but I figured they were probably a bit exaggerated... I wanted a quick and easy takeaway. The speed was the only positive point... As for the rest... tasteless. The ingredients have no flavor. It's loaded with cheap grated cheese and there are hardly any toppings on the pizza. The artichoke hearts are tasteless... the dough is industrial... the cooking is haphazard... and all this for 18 euros for a pizza. Honestly, I don't even understand how this "restaurant" can stay in business... it's also incredibly smoky inside... in short, whatever you do, don't go there.

24/01/2026: Pizza prices have gone up even though the pizza itself has gone down. And luckily I'm not allergic to mushrooms because I asked them to be removed and they were still there. The taste has completely changed; it's no longer enjoyable at all.

12/02/2026: The waiter was too busy on his mobile phone to attend to the customers; very disappointed. What a shame.

24/09/2025: I've been calling for an order since 8 p.m., with no response. I went to the store, and when I arrived, they told me it was closed at 9 p.m. The website says it's closing time at 9:30 p.m. I'm not going back anytime soon. Reply to your comment Sorry, I called at least five times, and it was 8 p.m.

02/03/2026: Delivery disappointment Ordered 2 sandwiches and 1 burger Very disappointed. The kebab sandwich was in a panini roll, so it was panini-sized, and only one meat option was turkey, which was tasteless... The Big Potato burger had no flavor whatsoever, only the taste of the fried patty... The only positive point was the delivery in under 30 minutes, but disappointment upon arrival... We will not be ordering again

14/01/2026: I ordered a kebab with raw vegetables. The kebab consisted of just undercooked fried onions and was almost cold. A shame, my first order will be my last.

30/12/2025: A lovely, atmospheric establishment, but that's about it. The food (pan of mussels) was unimaginative. It was called mariniere. I probably misunderstood. The accompanying fries were tough and tasteless. The service was very disinterested. And on top of that, it was expensive.
