08/12/2025: First visit on a Thursday in the early evening. The bar is slightly out of the way compared to the others. There was a dance class going on. The dance instructor was great! Her explanations were very clear. However, apart from the class participants, there was nobody else there. I don't know if it's usually like that. I'll have to go back to see for myself. :b

19/09/2024: At first glance the place is welcoming with its vintage decor. The limited menu is without surprise and the prices of the wines are dissuasive. The very noisy room doesn't help matters. Bobos will certainly like it but epicureans will avoid this address.

02/07/2025: Exceptional bar, the waiter with glasses and striped shirt is really great, magnificent (he deserves a raise), on the other hand I was with a group of 12 girls who were asking for Mateo's number...

27/06/2025: Homophobic attack by a bar owner. Last night, some friends and I went to the Shamrock for a drink. Looking for some fresh air to smoke a cigarette, one of them went out for a breath of fresh air with his freshly poured beer in hand. The security guard asked him not to venture too far to prevent him from stealing or damaging the bar's glass. So far, no problems, it's normal. But suddenly, what we guessed was one of the bar owners appeared, because only those kinds of people would have such nerve. He grabbed my friend by the arm and ordered him to leave immediately, without a hello, a please, and in a threatening tone. We had just met the pelvic slut, eh? Shocked, my friend asked him to be polite, and the man simply kicked him out of the bar, even though he hadn't even had a chance to take a sip of his beer. Surprisingly, no problem for us, who, unlike my friend, did not have makeup.

27/06/2025: Hello, We didn't eat there, but only asked for some water to refill our water bottles because we were out of water and the temperature outside was almost 40°C, forcing us to stop! They asked us to please consume! I don't think that's right...

04/06/2025: An old-fashioned inn where the chef presents the place and the staff with humor and tenderness... simple and family cuisine. Reasonable prices. A limited choice but which is justified by the desire to offer fresh products and the rurality of the place. If you like the conviviality of the restaurant as before or the meal finished around a drink with your neighbors of tables or the owner do not hesitate to come and try the experience.

30/09/2024: This is the second time I come to this cafe. The first time I had a bad experience so I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. We arrived 40min before closing and sat at one of the tables. The main female waiter seemed super busy so we politely waited to be served. Nothing happened for 10min. I called the second waiter to tell her that we wanted to order and she said "ok", but no one came to our table. 10min passed and I decided to stand up to go to the comptoir to place my order. The woman at the bar told me they were closing (it was 20min before closing) and she wouldn't serve us. I had to tell her that we had been waiting for 20min and she said that she'd made an exception and -annoyed- she asked me what we wanted (she has the right to be annoyed, but HEY we've also been waiting for a while now!). I ordered 2 teas but she refused to serve us the tiramisu we wanted to try. We drank our teas and as people started to leave the waitress that I called to order, came and told us the museum was closing. We were almost done with the teas so we sped up a little. Later a man came and told us "The museum has been closed for 10 minutes already, we are close now" in an unpleasant tone. I said thank you, finished our teas, and left. My advice: The service industry is under tons of recruiting stress which is clearly the cause of their current service; so come to the garden with your snacks (the food is ok but the service makes you feel like you're an inconvenience) to enjoy the garden at your own peace. No need to spend energy ordering at the cafe for now.

17/09/2024: Huge choice in this large Carrefour, a godsend. The shelves are always full and other world cultures are rather well represented with quite a few choices (Italy, Maghreb, Asia...). The checkouts are unfortunately rather slow with a huge number of people. The waiting time is extended whether in automatic or normal checkouts, which remains completely normal!

30/11/2024: As always since the creation of this McDonald's, I believe that it is the policy of the house, the portions of fries are lousy IN THE DRIVE, it is clearly done on purpose to generate greater margins, I am forced to go out every time from my car, go back to the cash register, and ask them for a REAL large fries, not to mention that depending on the time you go there, the fries are inedible... this evening my son has a medium fries, I have a large one, so look at the mouth of my fries corner... at the price we pay to eat a poor menu you could at least respect that, in the dining room or at the drive-thru... the reality is far from the beautiful advertising spots of our friend Ronald

15/09/2024: A super pleasant and friendly experience!! I rarely feel like I'm really being considered when I come to have a drink in good company in a place like a bar, but the Café du Gros Caillou has changed that! Helena and Vincent (the bartender) gave me a pleasant evening, are very efficient and professional with very good customer contact and make me want to come back to this friendly, well-located and warm place. I highly recommend it!

25/01/2025: I ordered a fried schnitzel sandwich to take away. Once I got home I unpacked it and found myself with rinsed bread with poor quality meat and fries. The meat was cooked on an electric hob and it says “wood-fired grill restaurant” in the front of the store?! Disgusting!
