21/05/2026: Disgusting food. Mediocre service.

20/05/2026: I was invited by a friend, and it was my first time at a restaurant in the islands. Everything was fine until my curry (whole prawns or large, round-backed, uncleaned shrimp) arrived at the table. In the islands, please, you clean shellfish! I gagged while cutting the shrimp in half to separate the vein from the back. It was very awkward, and I had to make sure my friend wasn't embarrassed. 18/01/2026: The evening went extremely well. This is the third time we've booked a table at this bar on Thursdays before going to student nights, and whether there are 5 or 20 of us, we're always very well received. The waiter is friendly and patient, and the prices are the most affordable we've found in Lyon. The music selection is very tasteful, but not too loud, so we can still hear each other. We recommend it 100%, and plan to return as soon as possible.

18/05/2026: Don't go there for the food; it's far too expensive for what it is. It's not that it's bad, but it's absolutely not worth the price. Otherwise, the service and atmosphere are excellent.

23/03/2026: A wonderful discovery! We usually go for drinks, but recently we had lunch there. The place is lovely, even though they're currently doing some exterior renovations. Everyone is friendly and attentive to your needs. They all offer great advice. The food is simple but excellent. Nothing but positives. You should definitely go!

21/02/2026: Fantastic evening with the Johnny Gallagher concert, great atmosphere. The Boss also sings, and very well, definitely worth doing again 👍. The waiters and waitresses are wonderful and full of good cheer, which they share 👍. A small suggestion: it would be great to have a nice cold non-alcoholic beer on tap 🍻

08/12/2025: Tonight they refused to serve tea. If you don't order anything, the toilet is inaccessible. I've never seen anything like it! Shame on this shopkeeper. Hot chocolate was €3.80, not a drop of milk! There were two of us! I was barely allowed to sit down. I come from Franche-Comté; I'll remember the hospitality of Lyon.

18/03/2026: Small restaurant near Place Jean Macé. The service is fairly quick and the welcome is unobtrusive. The food is good, but the ribeye steak at 18 euros is a bit pricey... the daily special I saw on neighboring plates looked good, judging by what other customers were saying.... The atmosphere is a little dreary... the establishment is clean and well-maintained.

24/04/2026: I'd been searching for good grilled fish for so long, and after several disappointments, I lost faith in it. Until I decided to try it at LE CONAKRY 🤩 My taste buds took a journey that transcends the universe: it was so magnificently delicious, from the chili that really hit me, to the side dish, including the seasoning, and the fish's charred edges, which met all the criteria of a true BRAISED FISH 😭 ps: Le Conakry, please remember to add starters to your menu (treats, snacks, etc.) while you wait for your meal: everyone wins.

07/05/2026: Absolutely avoid this place, the owner is awful. I went in to buy a pack of cigarettes, and there wasn't even a greeting. I went outside to sit on the terrace, and before I could even say I was having a cigarette while waiting for a friend, the owner told me I wasn't supposed to be smoking on a public bench! I was shocked by his aggression; he practically looked at me like he was about to hit me. It's a shame because, as a shopkeeper next door, I'm going to be spreading the word.

17/05/2026: Disappointment is inevitable. Before, it was buy two pizzas and get a free Margherita. Now, it's buy three pizzas and get one free. What kind of stinginess is this? I'm boycotting them now; I no longer recognize the place that once gave me so much culinary pleasure.

15/05/2026: Budget cuts have finally gotten the better of this restaurant. No wonder, it's getting less and less business. The result: 3 pizzas for the price of 1 instead of 2. Being foodies, we're going for the most expensive ones. The toppings have been cut by 50%. And the price is still just as high. SO GOODBYE. The toppings have been cut by 50%.

14/05/2026: Since the change of ownership, the quality has only gone down. I ordered through Uber Eats yesterday. Replacing the pancetta with what looked like disgusting turkey bacon is a rip-off...
