09/07/2025: This evening, on the occasion of my mother's 80th birthday, was perfect. Le Français, a Bourg-en-Bresse institution, and for good reason, everything is done to make you feel good there: the staff, the food, the wine, and the brasserie atmosphere. A big THANK YOU to everyone.

16/11/2024: Une super expérience depuis le temps que j'en avais entendu parlé, enfin j'ai testé et adoré ! Des portions généreuses dans tous les plats, même les entrées.... petit conseil : n'hésitez pas à goûter la planche avec viande de cerf sur pierre chaude, elle est exquise.....et le gratin juste divin.... sans oublier le tartare en entrée....bravo chef ! Ne passez pas à côté des desserts.... mais je ne peux pas vous recommander un en particulier tellement le choix est varié et attrayant ... énormes coupes glacées, crème brûlée excellente, soufflé glacé et son coulis myrtilles juste sublime.... En apéro, la coupe châtaigne est originale et la bugey plus classique, toutes les deux vous mettent en appétit ....à tester absolument et sans attendre mais n'oubliez pas de réserver à l'avance ! Pour info, la resa sur internet fonctionne très bien, très pratique surtout à n'importe quel moment. A savoir que la salle peut recevoir presque 80 couverts par service mais les serveuses sont sympas, rapides et efficaces, ça fait plaisir 😁 Merci à toute l'équipe pour ce bon moment gustatif 😋 on reviendra tester la fondue car il paraît qu'elle en fait fondre plus d'un.... Si vous êtes 4, vous pouvez réserver une des 2 tables rondes en forme de tonneau, très originale !

26/01/2026: We had a very pleasant time at the inn (excellent food, lovely, quiet interior, impeccable service). I had specified when making my reservation that it was the two gentlemen's birthday, and we were surprised at dessert time with a candle on each of their desserts—a very thoughtful touch. We will return for other occasions and in warmer weather, as the terrace is lovely. A very nice place.

11/12/2024: We went to eat at Rajpoute which has a superb reputation and indeed, I recommend it! We were welcomed with cocktails and a cumin-spiced crisp, both very good! Then we ate delicious dishes, the sheech kebab starter was wonderful, the lamb briani great and the beef papaji the same. We couldn't even eat dessert because the dishes were so plentiful. To finish, we were offered one, or even two succulent rose and ginger digestives. Thank you for everything, the servers are very welcoming. You can go there with your eyes closed.

07/12/2025: The setting, first of all, is pleasant: a well-maintained, calm place with an atmosphere that invites you to linger. The service, too, is impeccable: attentive, courteous, and efficient without being intrusive. But beyond this initial impression, a reservation remains that is hard to ignore. The prices seem high considering what is actually on the plate. The portions, in particular, are surprisingly small. One is left wanting more, both literally and figuratively, and the balance between quality, quantity, and price seems, to say the least, questionable. In short, an establishment whose charming setting and friendly service do not entirely compensate for a culinary experience that falls short of expectations, especially given the price.

02/12/2025: Honestly, La Cave restaurant is a real gem! We've never been disappointed. The food is always excellent, the dishes are beautifully prepared, and you can tell everything is made with passion. It's so good that we go back without hesitation 😍 And the service… it's absolutely top-notch! Alyssia, the waitress, is always incredibly attentive, super caring, smiling, and professional. The manager is just as welcoming and kind. You really feel right at home.

16/12/2025: A super friendly place, discovered way too late – after almost four years of coming here 🥺 Ordered takeaway, delicious, 15 minutes wait, and a glass of Sicilian red wine while I waited. Perfect!

10/12/2025: The staff are incredibly attentive and very pleasant. The food is excellent, with a special mention for the large profiterole-style cabbage roll (absolutely divine). Two minor drawbacks: the beef got cold quite quickly, and you can feel the drafts when the front door opens. Despite these minor issues, I highly recommend it.
