18/07/2026: We stayed one night at the campsite in Thoissey while passing through. Because we had poor service and food at our campsite in the afternoon, we decided to go to the village. We stopped at Colisée there because we saw a nice photo of the terrace on Google. It has a nice and cozy terrace. The pizzas were delicious and the service was friendly. They don't speak English there, but they do everything to help you. The terrace is pleasant, cozy, and romantic. We did have to wait a while to pay. It was very busy and there were only two people serving, whereas at the beginning there was only one. The ice cream was served slightly melted, but it was still tasty. Quite expensive for ice cream with sauce though, 7.50 per scoop. Vanilla ice cream with sauce of your choice. You can also get takeout there.

01/07/2026: A very nice restaurant with friendly service. We were there for lunch with our children; the food was delicious and reasonably priced. We would gladly come again.

27/06/2026: A wonderful discovery during this late June weekend! A lovely restaurant, very pleasant service, and smiling staff (which is so refreshing). The market menu is very well-thought-out and worth the price, as is the very original tuna tartare. I highly recommend it to anyone living in the area or passing through. I particularly enjoyed the Northeast-style vermicelli salad, which was very refreshing in this heat. Special mention goes to the thinly sliced ​​potatoes, perfectly seasoned. The black pepper beef was also very flavorful. The honey and grapefruit tea was the perfect accompaniment to the meal. The atmosphere is friendly, the service pleasant, and the prices are reasonable for the neighborhood. I will definitely return to try their kebabs and grilled meats, which look excellent. I highly recommend it!

18/06/2026: This place has switched to serving Northeastern-style stir-fries. The dishes are very cost-effective, and since I live nearby, it can be my daily canteen. The scallion oil bean curd sheets are delicious!

08/07/2026: A magnificent spot, especially for summer evenings. The view over the Bresse plain and the Beaujolais region opposite is breathtaking, with the added bonus of a stunning sunset. The cuisine is homemade and seasonal, with a limited menu, which clearly demonstrates that everything is prepared on-site from scratch. The building, a former school, has been tastefully renovated and retains the old-fashioned charm of the schools of our childhood. In short, nestled under the fairy lights and plane trees, this is an address not to be missed!

The meats are also excellent, cooked over a brazier which gives them a unique taste, wonderful tenderness, and authentic flavors. A real treat for meat lovers!
