20/01/2026: Thanks to a waitress who understood us and spoke a little Spanish, we were able to find out what the dishes were, since the menu wasn't in our language... and we're so close!

10/01/2026: We had lunch with the family on a Saturday, and it's worth noting that they had a weekend menu, which was much appreciated. The restaurant is located in the center of Carcassonne and has a very pleasant and welcoming decor that blends rustic and modern elements. The dishes on the menu were beautifully presented and prepared. We didn't find anything we didn't like. The service was excellent, although we had a little trouble understanding each other at first, but that didn't detract from the overall experience.

12/12/2025: I've lived in Carcassonne for two years now, and I so regret not having discovered this restaurant sooner! The warm and welcoming atmosphere, the smiling servers, and the excellent, generous portions (the pizza dough is simply amazing!) will have us coming back very, very soon!

11/12/2025: I don't know if it's the best cassoulet around, but we certainly enjoyed it. The excellent explanations about its preparation allowed us to fully appreciate it. The specialty was served in a piping hot casserole dish, the beans were very flavorful, and the meats were delicious. The service was impeccable, the atmosphere vibrant with an exhibition by a local artist, but the bill was a bit high. It doesn't matter when you know that this same cassoulet is also enjoyed in Chicago... A great experience.

The only thing is that one of the waiters who served us was a little confused: he brought us the wine/appetizer list first when he should have brought us the menu/card first. He didn't let us taste the wine and served it directly to us, filling the glasses too much. He seemed to be in a hurry to take note. He would surely be an apprentice. The rest very good. The gentleman who served us was very friendly, and since he speaks a little Spanish, communication was very easy and friendly. The food was delicious, prepared with care and with an exceptional flavor. A highly recommended place that we will definitely return to.

08/12/2025: No comment on the food, but the appalling quality of the service was enough for us! At 12:40 pm (with the "open" sign lit), the chef, seeing us approach, quickly gestured through the window, "Don't come in, dogs aren't allowed," without even bothering to speak to us. We weren't asking him to look after our dogs while we were on vacation (90% of restaurants accept them), but this gentleman clearly wanted to go home and didn't want to open another table... So, no doubt the chef will take pleasure, as with every Google review, in responding with contempt and bad faith. Apparently quite content with their old reputation, these restaurant owners probably make enough money during peak season to turn away customers with dogs and forget that in this business, hospitality is also part of the customer experience... And that's just as well, because it allowed us to discover, in the village, a small, unpretentious restaurant that cooks with fresh ingredients, where you're welcomed with your dog and a smile, for less than the price of "Poison d'avril".
