Today, I was asked to pay €1.80 because I had filled in the crossword puzzles with a graphite pencil 🤔🧐 ??? Good heavens, this is the first time this has ever happened to me, and the owner, Philippe, let his henchman tell me, but I didn't see him... Of course, I refused to pay for the newspaper. It's legally unforgivable and a sign of disloyalty for a customer...

11/04/2026: I often have lunch at Café Lucien for work and I'm always warmly welcomed by the staff. The food is simple but so authentic; you can tell it's made with love! The service is impeccable, the waitress is always smiling. And the prices are very reasonable. In the evenings, during happy hour, the atmosphere is fantastic! Very welcoming. I highly recommend it, and I don't understand the negative reviews, especially those about the food. Never disappointed. I recommend it!!

25/05/2026: Superb place! We had a wonderful meal. Fresh ingredients! Lots of homemade dishes. Simple and efficient! Impeccable service with a big smile. A truly authentic Marseille atmosphere, the kind you just don't find anymore. I highly recommend it and I'll be back.

02/08/2026: An excellent pizzeria just steps from Malmousque beach! The pizzas are delicious and the atmosphere is 100% Marseilles. The staff is incredibly welcoming, friendly, and always in a good mood, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. It's the perfect place to grab a great pizza after a swim or a day at the beach. I highly recommend it!

02/08/2026: The pizzas are pretty good (some are great, others a bit bland). The main problem lies in the restaurant's organization, including the service. You don't open at noon if the kitchen isn't ready, or you tell customers right away, not after 20 minutes. One of the two servers was incredibly friendly, and the other completely nonchalant. I'll never understand why, in these "trendy" places, you always get the feeling you're bothering the people who work there. Anyway, will I go back? I'm not sure…

05/08/2026: Being on summer vacation and a customer of Meaux and Chambly/Persan, I thought late morning, "Let's stop and get some sandwiches since we drove all night." After unpacking, we'll go to the beach with the children. We know the quality is usually good and we're never disappointed. When we opened our order, my wife's chicken curry panini was missing. Unfortunately, we called them three times without success. So we went back, and the sandwich was still in the oven, burnt. They offered me another sandwich, but I saw the chicken, which looked terrible, and the rosette sausage or green flies (a problem already mentioned in other posts, hence my comment, as it hasn't changed). I asked for a refund and went to Lidl. Very disappointed, and I won't be coming back to your place. Sorry. Sincerely

29/07/2026: Great place: delicious sushi, gyoza, and skewers. The staff was super friendly; I arrived a bit late, but they still took the time to give me helpful information and answer my questions. And the service was incredibly fast—honestly, I have nothing to complain about. It's a real pleasure to find such good value for money with such great service!

28/02/2026: An unpretentious establishment opposite the train station, but welcoming and well-run. We ordered salads, so it's difficult to call it gourmet cuisine. But they were good, fresh, and generously portioned for €14. Expect to pay €20 for a set menu. The service is friendly, even warm, making it a pleasant stop and a relaxing break before catching our train.

27/07/2026: The pizza is amazing! The setting is fantastic, by the runner-up in pizza! Eat in, avoid ordering takeout. It's best enjoyed on-site. However, we received poor service at the burger stand! No greeting...

23/07/2026: Good burger but the waiter was awful, he had a blasé expression and was about as friendly as a prison guard. It's a shame because the place is really nice.
