20/02/2026: We were very disappointed with our experience. We arrived at 8:30 pm and left at 12:10 am due to an extremely long wait. The food wasn't good, and the presentation was truly lacking. Furthermore, we paid €75 for a set menu with wine included, even though we didn't order any wine—the price should have been €67. Very disappointing.
14/02/2026: A very good restaurant. I really liked the decor. Warm colors and antique furniture and cutlery. A small menu, but authentic and imaginative cuisine. We'll be back. For Valentine's Day, it was perfect. Everything was just right. A big thumbs up to the manager who doesn't hesitate to share his "kitchen" secrets. One small drawback: We would have liked a more extensive menu.

09/04/2026: If you love meat, this is a place you absolutely must visit. A selection of dry-aged beef is displayed at the entrance, and you won't be disappointed by the perfectly cooked meat.
And of course, they also have a menu featuring fish, shellfish, and pizza. L'Héritage remains an institution on the Côte Bleue, and for good reason.
Don't hesitate to go.
06/04/2026: The staff was pleasant. We had a family meal. There were 10 of us on the terrace. The food was plentiful and very good. The only problem was that we were very cold because they lowered the awning. We all ended up in the shade. I don't understand why they open the terrace in April. If it's not to get some sun, we asked several times for it to be reopened, but some people were too hot. Everything was very good except that we were cold throughout the meal, and that's really not ideal.

Very friendly welcome and atmosphere in the heart of the old village of Calas. Top-notch pizza chef! I highly recommend this place; it's also very pleasant in the summer with terrace service.

The pizzas are very generously topped and the Savoyard fondue is excellent.

A lovely surprise! We enjoyed a film screening and lunch at this cultural center, savoring couscous and kefta tagine bursting with flavor. The beautiful decor transported us, making the journey easier, at least for the duration of the meal... 😉 The service was quick and friendly 👍

13/03/2026: At Le Chalet des Arènes, you don't come looking for a gastronomic revolution or meticulously presented dishes. You come for what Provence does best: sunshine on a plate and garlic with a strong presence. And that lunchtime, it's safe to say the symphony was perfectly in tune.
The meal opened with a flourish with zucchini blossom fritters. Light as a good mistral wind, crispy without being greasy—the kind of fried food that makes you fall in love with the very idea of frying anything. The blossom retains its delicate, almost sweet, summer garden aroma. You could easily have three more without a second thought.
The next course arrived like a small Mediterranean triptych: half a burrata, indecently creamy, its milky center spreading lazily like an August siesta; a smooth and velvety carrot cream, the color of a sunset over the Alpilles. Nothing complicated, but everything was just right. Proof that sometimes, well-executed simplicity is the most elegant form of indulgence.
And then comes the dish—the one that raises eyebrows and slows the conversation: pan-fried baby squid and linguine with vegetables in aioli. The baby squid is perfectly seared, tender, almost bouncy in the mouth. The linguine soaks up the aioli with an almost obscene gusto. The vegetables provide crunch and freshness, ensuring the dish never becomes heavy.
As for the aioli… let’s talk about it. Bold, generous, almost audacious, garlic reigns supreme but is never overpowering. It perfumes, it awakens, it leaves its mark on the dish like a sunburn on the back of the neck.
The result? A cuisine that doesn’t try to impress the guidebooks but reminds us why we love to dine in the South: freshly picked produce, plates overflowing with flavor, and the feeling that the meal could last all afternoon.
At Le Chalet des Arènes, you leave with garlicky fingers, a slightly greasy smile, and a strong desire to return. And frankly, that's exactly what you expect from a good village restaurant.

Excellent cuisine, a very friendly atmosphere, pleasant and attentive staff with the sole aim of ensuring your satisfaction... Congratulations to Alex and Olivier, to Anne Lise for her smile and energy, and to the chef who delights our taste buds every time!!! A must-try!
