14/03/2026: Attention food lovers: A very warm welcome, the service is quick and efficient, and the team is very professional. A varied menu to please everyone. As for the food, I highly recommend everything on the menu because it's all delicious, from the fish to the meat to the pizza! The desserts are simply divine (especially the crème brûlée and the chocolate fondant). The pizzas delivered are excellent, very large, and they're always on time. Perfect! 😊 I highly recommend this place! 😋🍷

16/05/2026: Very good. The waitress was very pleasant. It's a shame it was so smoky; the ventilation is too weak. My eyes stung. Other customers were coughing. And the Lacoste wine wasn't good. I'm looking for improvement. Please don't take this the wrong way.

04/06/2026: After the change of ownership, only the name remains. Unfortunately, it's no longer comparable to the former quality. The beer glass was only three-quarters full, and instead of rosé (as ordered), white wine arrived. The appetizer and main course were served simultaneously. Good question: what do you want to enjoy hot, and what will get cold? The tellines were served in a thick, tasteless flour sauce. No thanks. After more than ten years, we will no longer be guests at Le Chalut and will find another restaurant in beautiful Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer.

06/07/2026: We had been coming to this restaurant for years, several times each summer, and we always recommended it to everyone we knew. It's precisely because we were such loyal customers that what followed was all the more disappointing. The meal went very well until dessert. We ordered two chocolate fondant cakes: one was perfectly gooey, the other completely overcooked, dry, and dense. We simply and politely pointed this out to the waiter, without being aggressive, thinking it was an isolated incident. After a quick trip to the kitchen, he returned with this response: “Your daughter was lucky.” In other words, the botched dessert in front of me was considered normal. No self-reflection, no apology, no spontaneous offer of a replacement. It wasn't the cake itself that was the problem. Nor was it the €9 dessert, especially when you're paying a bill of €132 for three people. What's unacceptable is the blatant disregard shown to a customer who simply reports a clearly defective product. When I expressed my disappointment, the owner finally offered a refund… but only after the situation had escalated. A gesture of goodwill is only valuable when it's sincere and spontaneous, not when it's offered reluctantly. The final straw was the owner's intervention. She came out of the restaurant to tell me, "You're the ones who are pathetic, making a fuss over a chocolate cake when people are starving." A completely irrelevant, inappropriate, and deeply disrespectful argument. We were simply in a restaurant, as a family, paying for a service. As with any service, it's normal to expect a product that meets our standards and a minimum of consideration when a problem is reported. What's making us leave today isn't a chocolate cake. It's the arrogance, the complete lack of self-reflection, and the customer service that, in our opinion, are unworthy of an establishment claiming to be a restaurant. Losing loyal customers over a €9 dessert is already regrettable. Losing them through a lack of professionalism and humility is even more so. We won't be back. And that's a real shame, because we genuinely liked this place.

10/06/2026: I rarely give such high ratings… but honestly, the whole table was disappointed! The food wasn't good. And frankly, we were being honest; we tried all the hot dishes (except the fish soup)… The yogurt and mousses weren't chilled, so the yogurt had a strange taste… I don't understand why you accept late-night service if you're going to remove items little by little during the meal (e.g., turning off the fryer and ending up eating cold fries at a buffet). It was more like a hotel breakfast buffet. Not terrible, but nothing special. The price was okay, but not really worth it for a local, I think. It's the setting of the old port that makes this restaurant interesting. I'm sorry. We were all incredibly thirsty because the dishes were so salty. The only positive point was the waitress, who was exceptionally kind!

05/06/2026: The place is calm, peaceful, and welcoming. Exactly what we needed for a relaxing time. The service was a little slow, but always attentive and very pleasant! The dishes were superb, with a special mention for the starter (burrata, vegetables, and prosciutto), and the cocktail was truly generous. We stayed a little longer than planned, but had a wonderful evening.

20/05/2026: We've been going to Nine for over 15 years and it's always a pleasure. The dishes are delicious, carefully prepared, beautifully presented, and very generous. The atmosphere is lovely in this beautiful vaulted cellar; the armchairs are comfortable, you could stay there for hours! It's THE restaurant I always recommend to friends visiting Aix.

14/04/2026: Anyone who enjoys Ghanaian food will be very happy here. It's authentic, extremely delicious, and from the first bite you feel transported to one of Ghana's charming "chop bars." I was very satisfied!

06/06/2026: I didn't have the disgrace of eating at this establishment, and I have absolutely no intention of doing so. I am a woman traveling alone, and I was assaulted by two men about ten meters from this restaurant. They started by hitting my dog, then openly threatened me with rape, shouting in the street and being physically threatening. The waiter who was there came out to tell us he didn't care and to "go do it somewhere else" (which they did), and offered me absolutely no assistance. 👍 I therefore agree with the previous comments describing the service as unpleasant and disrespectful.

30/05/2026: A wonderful experience at this restaurant! Everything went perfectly from start to finish. The dining room is warm, pleasant, and beautifully appointed, making for a truly enjoyable meal. The dishes are generous, delicious, and prepared with care. The price is very reasonable considering the quality offered. Thank you to the entire team for their warm welcome and professionalism. We will gladly return! 😊🙏
