22/07/2026: Very satisfying. The staff are very friendly, polite, and pleasant. The food is good. The atmosphere is pleasant; I recommend this place.

12/07/2026: What bad luck that we ended up at this restaurant for dinner. The service was deplorable; they seemed to be laughing at us, speaking French amongst themselves. The woman running it was quite rude. We asked if six of us could eat together, and she said yes without a problem, but then it seemed like we were bothering her. Luckily, the food was decent and reasonably priced, although when we asked for the bill, it only showed the total price and not each item individually. Not recommended at all!

01/09/2026: Finally, a restaurant just the way I like them! No fries, and fresh, seasonal produce. A warm welcome and quick service. For two people, starter, main course, dessert, sparkling water, and coffees = €52. That's a little more than two McDonald's meals. Just ask the waitress for a little extra, and it arrives. A lovely surprise on our holiday road trip. We'll be back!

02/08/2026: A surprise stop at this inn, and not just a stopover! The welcome was excellent and the cuisine was perfectly executed from start to finish. Kudos to the manager and staff; we had a wonderful time.

13/01/2026: A bistro-style restaurant. We went without a reservation for a simple lunch, but after the midday service. A very good value for money restaurant. We started with a tartine of apple compote, gratinéed goat cheese, and a green salad. The fish was perfectly cooked in a sauce with several side options, including fresh pasta or dauphinoise potatoes. For dessert, we had homemade panna cotta with strawberry or chocolate coulis and rice pudding. (Charcuterie and meat were also available). The Merlot was perfectly respectable, but there was a selection of other wines if you wanted to treat yourself. The service was always friendly and cheerful, even though they were very busy. This restaurant has two rooms, and it was full on a Tuesday, so that says it all! 😁 The room was decorated with a theme. The coffee was rather average, but the 5-star rating is well-deserved because the value for money is excellent. The restrooms were spotless, even at the end of service. Thank you to the entire team.

20/08/2026: A very good restaurant recommended by a friend. The homemade fries are a big plus, and the service is excellent, especially from the young seasonal staff. I'm only giving it 4 stars because the meat wasn't cooked perfectly—some pieces were overcooked—and the quality of the ingredients was lacking, but I expected that from a brasserie on the marina.

17/08/2026: Our experience was quite disappointing overall. The pizza dough was far too dry and had more the texture of a wheat flatbread than a proper pizza dough. It was also heavily coated in a mediocre honey, the overpowering taste of which completely masked the flavors of the chicken and cheese. The ribeye steak was cooked to our liking, which was appreciated. However, the meat was unseasoned and came with no sauce, making it rather bland. The fries, meanwhile, were soggy and clearly lacked crispness. We won't be back.

29/08/2026: Extremely unpleasant saleswoman. Smaller ice cream portions. The charm is gone, keep walking.

27/08/2026: One star because the flavors are good, but both the manager and the sales assistant are very unfriendly. The sales assistant speaks rudely to customers without even realizing it and is condescending when we point it out. The person before me was told, "Just read the labels," to help them choose their ice cream. If you're not suited to a job that involves interacting with people, you shouldn't do it. We ordered two double ice creams, and when they were given to us, we pointed out that they were much smaller than before, but we didn't immediately realize that she hadn't made us the double ice cream we'd asked for. But once we got to the cone, we realized there was only one flavor, not the two we'd ordered. We went back to point it out and ask them to remake our ice cream as requested so we could eat both flavors together (by paying the difference). They told us no because we'd eaten more than half, but we couldn't have realized until the second scoop of mango we'd ordered was missing. The only options were to remake the ice cream but pay for it in full, or pay for a single scoop at full price, which they added to our already melted ice cream. There was no apology from either the owner, who seemed programmed to repeat, "You ate more than half, there's nothing we can do," or the saleswoman, who was more haughty than ever, and no gesture of goodwill whatsoever. We're talking about ice cream, not a €50 discount to satisfy a customer and apologize for their mistake. It's sad; we've been coming for years, and that's it for the Royan shop. So, avoid it at all costs; paying for such poor service is shameful. And I'll add that our son had a scoop of vanilla ice cream as usual, but had the beginnings of an allergic reaction 20 minutes later. There must have been a piece of nut left in the spoon used to serve it, or some residue in the vanilla container. Dangerous and unacceptable! What should have been a pleasant family moment turned into a nightmare and a source of frustration. Well done!

13/08/2026: A very nice Intermarché hypermarket located on the island! Offering a wide variety of products during the summer season! However, I find the aisles are cramped compared to other Intermarché stores in the area, such as the one in Vaux-sur-Mer, which has more spacious aisles and therefore better customer comfort! However, the prices at the gas station are attractive and the hypermarket is well located!

13/08/2026: Given the crowds in August, there were many (too many) items out of stock. It was incredibly busy every time I went.

06/09/2026: Exceptional location, friendly and efficient staff, simple, seasonal and good cuisine.

30/08/2026: The staff are arrogant, and €10 for a coffee and orange juice? Are we in the Tuileries Gardens or something? The place is pretty, but honestly, it's really not worth the price; it's a complete rip-off!

13/07/2026: A great little snack bar in La Pallice. La Petite Bouffe lives up to its name: simple, good, and generous portions. Friendly service, reasonable prices. No complaints, I'll definitely be back.

24/08/2026: Excellent food, but a bit pricey. The restaurant was empty the day we had lunch. The waitress was very friendly.

23/08/2026: €340 for 5 people, including aperitifs and wine. Four starters, main courses, desserts, and one main course. The appetizer platter was more like a survival meal, and the same goes for the main courses. You won't find any Ricard, Coke, or other commercial drinks. Furthermore, we were swarmed by mosquitoes even though we were in the dark. I strongly advise against going there.

09/09/2026: This is definitely not the burger place to go!! The fries were overcooked and cold, the maxi burger/goat cheese was cold even though it was made to order, and there were no customers waiting...what a disappointment! And to be clear: I ordered takeout and ate it immediately in front of the port, after only a 2-minute walk, which is all the more reason why both the fries and the burger should still have been hot!

22/08/2026: One star because we were disappointed that a lettuce leaf and a slice of tomato wouldn't be removed from our burger order. So we couldn't complete it.
