09/09/2026: I highly recommend this place. The welcome was very friendly, even for a last-minute arrival; the owner arranged the tables to accommodate the four of us. Our waitress, Elise, was always smiling and very attentive.
Thank you again for the delicious and beautifully presented dishes.
We will definitely be back.

14/09/2026: We came for a drink after visiting the aquarium. Luckily for us, it was happy hour, everything was €5! 😁😁 The Virgin mojito and homemade iced tea were delicious.
The waiter was very friendly. 😉

27/09/2026: A one-night craving that turned into frustration… We called to place an order, and imagine our surprise when the man on the phone informed us that there was a minimum order of six meals and one pizza (I think).
You have the right to set your own rules regarding orders taken by phone, but you are obligated to state this somewhere on your website…
You've lost two customers…
27/09/2026: Top! Much better than Burger King and McDonald's, no more expensive, generous portions, and excellent.
So without any hesitation, go to CB!

28/09/2026: The food was nice but unfortunately the girls dinner not turn up until well after the boys had finished eating the atmosphere was interesting because there where two older French lady’s who seemed to take offence to us laughing and enjoying ourselves but I don’t suppose we can blame the restaurant for that
27/09/2026: Every time we come to La Rochelle, we eat here. Super tasty, partly organic too, and friendly service. Here you can still eat well at an affordable price (in Belgium this would cost double).

10/08/2026: A superb room for resting; the surroundings are peaceful. Breakfasts are sweet, with bread, pastries, and homemade jam. We were able to enjoy the pool, which was very quiet during our stay. The owners were attentive and always available.

25/10/2026: What a shame the dining room was so noisy! The waiter was very friendly, and the Gillardeau oysters were truly exceptional. The lamb chops were cooked perfectly. A very good restaurant.

PS: A special mention for the Pineau des Charentes as an aperitif, truly excellent.

19/09/2026: Two reasonably priced set menus (€24 and €29). The owner is friendly and welcoming. The daily specials board offers interesting dishes, but the flavors are lacking: bland fish, fries served with every course (a shame for fish), homemade desserts. The chef seems uninterested.

26/09/2026: Not bad, but quite expensive and the service is very slow, making it a mediocre choice for a lunch break.
01/09/2026: Finally, a restaurant just the way I like them! No fries, just fresh, seasonal produce. A warm welcome and quick service. For two people (starter, main course, dessert, sparkling water, and coffees), it came to €52. That's a little more than two McDonald's meals. Just ask the waitress for seconds, and they arrive. A lovely surprise on our holiday road trip! We'll be back!

07/06/2026: Much better than the bar next door, which refused us entry to our holy adventure (a pub crawl) that started at 10 a.m., we were served very quickly.
I thank the staff at this bar and I recommend it.
