13/01/2026: A bistro-style restaurant. We went without a reservation for a simple lunch, but after the midday service. A very good value for money restaurant. We started with a tartine of apple compote, gratinéed goat cheese, and a green salad. The fish was perfectly cooked in a sauce with several side options, including fresh pasta or dauphinoise potatoes. For dessert, we had homemade panna cotta with strawberry or chocolate coulis and rice pudding. (Charcuterie and meat were also available). The Merlot was perfectly respectable, but there was a selection of other wines if you wanted to treat yourself. The service was always friendly and cheerful, even though they were very busy. This restaurant has two rooms, and it was full on a Tuesday, so that says it all! 😁 The room was decorated with a theme. The coffee was rather average, but the 5-star rating is well-deserved because the value for money is excellent. The restrooms were spotless, even at the end of service. Thank you to the entire team.

10/10/2026: We ordered takeout, and the couscous was tasteless, the vegetables boiled, the chicken poor quality and ridiculously small, and the lamb wasn't either. Furthermore, the portions were tiny... for a very high price. We threw away more than half of it. OUR ADVICE: AVOID THIS PLACE.

30/09/2026: I don't know if there's been a change of ownership. But we didn't have time to enjoy our aperitif in peace; the appetizers were removed before we'd even finished our drinks. And we were rushed through our meal and desserts. Really, really disappointed.

20/09/2026: We entrusted Alexandre with dinner and the meal the following day after our anniversary weekend, without knowing him at all. What a wonderful surprise! Ultra-fresh ingredients, sophisticated and original cuisine—everything was excellent and surprising, and his kindness charmed everyone. A flood of well-deserved compliments followed. Bravo and thank you again!

30/12/2025: We received a very warm welcome at this lovely little wine bar. The service was friendly and very efficient for our large table of eight; we didn't even have time to get thirsty! And we had a delicious meal to boot: excellent oysters, superb truffle ham, and good bread. It was well worth the trip.

13/10/2025: Welcomed with a smile by Arthur, the owner. A beautifully decorated room, expert advice, especially on wine, and cuisine featuring fresh, local produce. A warm, unmissable address in La Couarde, where you'll feel right at home.

02/09/2026: Forgotten (for a pint), a deserted terrace at 3 pm with the lunchtime dishes still uncleared, and two waitresses who were completely exhausted, dragging their feet and, to top it off, being unpleasant and far from welcoming! They were settling scores in front of the customers over who would do the overtime... catastrophic behavior! Luckily, there was a waiter who saved the day; he must have a tough time of it...

27/08/2026: Fantastic experience! The crepes are divine, as are the tartare and fish. The staff are incredibly attentive and efficient, and the location is charming. A must-visit in Loix.

25/09/2026: A major disappointment with this restaurant, which is generally well-rated. The oddly laid-out terrace gives the impression of being tucked away on a corner. The food is quite inconsistent; while the seafood platter is generous and of good quality, the fish can be problematic (our neighbor's shark was completely burnt (note that after we complained, the dish was offered free of charge)), and according to another diner, the profiteroles weren't great. But to top it all off, a waitress (who was definitely not smiling) with chewing gum is unacceptable.

21/09/2026: We hadn't even had time to drink our aperitif before the starter arrived. The smoked salmon I ordered was good, but the snails my husband chose were very hot, and he had nothing to hold them with except his fingers; he obviously burned himself... For the main course, I ordered monkfish, supposedly in a tagine, but the vegetables—the zucchini—were swimming in a thin sauce... A bit overrated... We were disappointed... We don't recommend it.

17/10/2026: We came for coffee as a couple. We waited 10 minutes; the waitress was serving people who came in after us. Not a single greeting from her, nor from the bartender. Honestly, avoid this place... We left without being served. When you're in this business, making a good first impression is essential... You should find a new manager; you clearly don't know how.

06/10/2026: I was very disappointed with the beef, and I wasn't the only one at the table. The steaks were tough and required a lot of chewing before swallowing. The rest was okay, nothing more.

29/09/2026: A fantastic discovery for me! My parents were already familiar with the place and had been very happy with it on their previous visits. For me, everything was perfect, from the presentation to the quality of the products. I highly recommend it!

08/09/2026: A very good restaurant in La Rochelle, excellent cuisine, the only slight drawback is that the service is a bit rushed. But I still highly recommend it.
