The welcome was warm, the service impeccable, and the meal truly delicious. The couple who run the establishment are lovely, welcoming, and very pleasant. Plus, the setting offers a beautiful view. A fantastic find, I highly recommend it! 😊

07/07/2026: Best café/restaurant in La Rochelle, for its atmosphere, generous portions, and the kindness of the owners. A simple place where it's great to meet up.

13/09/2026: A wonderful discovery during a short stay in La Rochelle. It was the menu that first caught our eye, and the location on the old port, without the terrace being overcrowded, which is exactly what we were looking for – peace and quiet. Inside, the lovely decor and jazzy music made our meal romantic. The service was quick and efficient, the staff very friendly, and the dishes delicious, made with fresh ingredients (grilled meats and mixed fish). The desserts were also homemade and excellent (panna cotta and red berry tiramisu). Finally, the view of the port at dusk made everything perfect. A truly great place to recommend and remember.

13/09/2026: The service was excellent, provided by the young woman and man. However, a woman dressed in black who greeted prospective customers was not smiling and had an authoritarian voice (madam, a smile would be more pleasant).

01/06/2026: It's a disgrace! €9.30 for a tiny kebab and a handful of fries. At that price, you expect a proper, filled sandwich, not a half-empty piece of bread. The toilets weren't clean. I'm done going there; I'm done with fast food.

13/07/2026: We didn't stay overnight. The dining experience was absolutely fantastic. The ingredients were very fresh, the dishes were perfectly seasoned and generous. The welcome was truly warm, thanks to a reservation, even though they were exceptionally closed at lunchtime due to the heatwave. We'll be back with other friends to introduce them to the warm hospitality of the Charente region.

28/06/2026: We visited a few weeks ago as a couple and again this weekend with friends, and we savored every dish. Impeccable service. The owner and his staff are very friendly.

15/09/2026: This restaurant was a disappointment. Unfortunately, it feels like a tourist trap. Many of the products seem to be frozen or lack freshness, and the quality of the food is far from satisfactory. The dishes are quite disappointing and really lack flavor. It's a shame, because the setting and location had the potential to be much better. I wouldn't particularly recommend this place.

24/05/2026: I ordered a draft beer and ended up with a warm bottled beer and two Perriers, one of them flat 🥵

23/08/2025: The setting is very nice, but it's a shame not to have truly sparkling water due to the expired date on the bottle (the same problem with the date and carbonation occurred after it was replaced).

26/08/2026: Everything looked inviting until the owner arrived. There were five of us, the terrace was empty, the tables were tiny, so we simply pushed two tables together... What a mistake! We were sharply reprimanded for not touching the tables... I work in customer service, and I strongly advise this woman to find another job! We left immediately, but carefully put the table back in its place, which seems to be the establishment's priority...
