20/07/2026: Sorry, Mr. Owner... but you need to reconsider your approach... all six people at the table felt the same way... I repeat, there's no respect and no consideration for people who only order ice cream, crepes, and drinks... and we ordered for six, not two... we're not used to ordering for two while the other four just watch... I've never seen anything like it... and I'm sorry, but there are ways to say things and explain why you prioritize people who order a meal for just a carafe of water and treat everyone else like dirt... so, as an rip-off, you add a €6.50 bottle... we could have washed the dishes too... if you don't want tourists, you couldn't do a better job... avoid at all costs

20/07/2026: See attached document to understand this addition: You are the one distorting the facts!!! We asked for the carafe AFTER having consumed all 6 drinks, 5 ice creams, and the crepe!!! It is completely false to say that we only had 2 drinks for 6 people!!! It's unbelievable to be acting in such bad faith. My friend has the receipt as proof of our consumption if necessary to set the record straight...

21/06/2026: We arrived at this bar/brasserie around 2:00/2:15 pm on a Saturday, thinking it wouldn't be possible to get a meal. The owner was very welcoming and attentive. The service was quick and efficient. The portions were very good and generous. If I may, I would have added a children's menu for younger customers with smaller portions. ☺️ The lady who took our payment was also particularly friendly, and my son was very happy with his water pistol! The only negative point, I would say, was the very young waiter, who I think is seasonal, and who seemed a little reserved and unsure of how to handle things… We'll be back.

31/03/2026: We were just discovering Paul, we were only passing through. I'd only give the service one star. The lady wasn't very friendly; I asked her what the menus consisted of, and she gave a cold answer, making us repeat everything... I'm not a big Burger King fan, but for the same price at the King counter, the self-service kiosk showed me the same friendliness... As for the sandwich, the bread was good, yes, but... the friendliness left something to Desirée...

13/07/2026: We didn't stay overnight. The dining experience was absolutely fantastic. The ingredients were very fresh, the dishes were perfectly seasoned and generous. The welcome was truly warm, thanks to a reservation, even though they were exceptionally closed at lunchtime due to the heatwave. We'll be back with other friends to introduce them to the warm hospitality of the Charente region.

28/06/2026: We visited a few weeks ago as a couple and again this weekend with friends, and we savored every dish. Impeccable service. The owner and his staff are very friendly.

27/05/2026: Every year we tried, and every year we were disappointed by the staff's lack of friendliness. Having a drink on the terrace at 11 a.m.? No way, the tables are set for lunch, and of course, they're all empty! Goodbye, and see you next year! Who knows, maybe their attitude will change!

25/05/2026: Mixed feelings. The welcome and service were a bit odd; they weren't really attentive to our needs and didn't seem to know their own menu. A bottle of wine was simply placed in front of us—right in front of our noses, in our hands—in place of the dish that was about to arrive. The menu was small, but the meal itself wasn't very tasty.

17/07/2026: Here is a full review including all these details: "I went through the drive-thru on July 14th and was told that the payment had gone wrong, even though the amount appeared as pending on my Crédit Agricole account. The manager refused to give me my order and demanded payment again. I left empty-handed, and the next day, my account was debited. Luckily, I didn't use my card again. I then had to call the restaurant, be transferred several times, and finally send an email with supporting documentation to try and get a refund of €31.05. A complete lack of professionalism and a real ordeal for a simple order." I did get my refund, but one thing is for sure: they will never see me again.

19/04/2026: In a wheelchair, after waiting 10 minutes in front of an unattended shop window, I left. During that time, I noticed that insects (flies) were happily feasting on the ingredients in the open shop window.

06/04/2026: I wouldn't have imagined it was possible to achieve the perfect middle ground between raw fries inside and burnt fries outside, and yet... two stars for being open after midnight, even if we'll overlook the employee's lack of friendliness 👀

14/07/2026: The meal was great; we got to try English food (which isn't always appreciated 😜). The staff were fantastic, attentive even though it was match night. The atmosphere was incredible.

01/07/2026: I've never seen anything like it. A man greeted us rudely and served my son a tiny glass of tap water (mint-flavored) for €3.90! Unbelievable. A large glass (like everywhere else) was €7.90. Outrageous. I'm willing to pay a bit more when you're by the sea (and even then, there's no sea view), but this is a rip-off. Avoid at all costs.

14/07/2026: Excellent pizzas, never disappointed in years! The owners are extremely welcoming and helpful, offering good alternative choices if you change the ingredients. The pizzas are high-quality and generously topped. Highly recommended.

10/07/2026: The benches look like kindergarten benches, the pizzas have a ridiculously thin, poorly made crust that's strangely crispy. I've never tasted such a disgusting pizza; I won't be going back. The toppings drip off the pizza, and a bottle of Coke for €3.70? No thanks.
