31/08/2026: The owner was incredibly unpleasant. We were having a quiet and discreet drink, and she criticized us for eating our beer with a bit of our own bread! She told us we should have left with our beers in cups! The establishment already had a terrible reputation, but now it's truly HORRIBLE. RUN AWAY! Don't even think about stopping there.

27/08/2026: Lunch for 4. The servers were excellent. The owner was disrespectful and grumpy with her staff, which caused stress for the servers. Hygiene needs improvement throughout the establishment. The meal was decent nonetheless.

25/05/2026: This review applies to the restaurant only. The service was unfriendly, and the quality was very questionable. Be prepared to wait, especially at the start of peak season, as we waited almost half an hour for a carafe of water (in 34-degree heat, that's really pushing it) and a burger that wasn't cooked properly. Our food was lukewarm, and judging by the burger bun and the frozen fries, which were as hard as a rock, you have to wonder if the plates hadn't cooled down somewhere before reaching our table... I want to emphasize the desperately long wait; our neighbors had to help themselves to salt from another table that hadn't been cleared yet. We even shared our sauces with them because they were forgotten. The only good point is that the portions weren't too large or too small, but overall it's really very average, and the numerous Routard awards it has received in the past don't guarantee the current quality.

25/05/2026: Excellent value for money, generous and delicious portions, top-notch staff (a rarity these days), very good desserts, and the rum baba (the authentic recipe) was superb! Bravo!

06/09/2026: Thankfully, the view is magnificent! We were served quickly. I ordered the 2 x 100g burgers for €21 from the menu. I was given a choice of how I wanted them cooked, and I asked for rare. On my plate were two burger patties, frozen and therefore much overcooked and tough. We ordered a carafe of Charentais wine, which came with ice cubes. My husband's €28 set menu was decent.

10/07/2026: With the high temperatures and products left on display all day, the risk of food poisoning is high. I bought a sandwich yesterday evening around 6 pm and I was sick all day. Thanks a lot 👍

05/07/2026: Usually not disappointed by the service, but yesterday... We went to get two sandwiches. We ordered halal chicken sandwiches and asked if they had any non-halal chicken because my girlfriend is Christian. She doesn't eat halal, which seems logical to me. The waitress glared at us with such hatred because we didn't want to eat halal chicken. Unfortunately, we said so, and it didn't go down well.

21/08/2026: The bar service was nonexistent; you had to order and pick up your order at the counter—unbelievable for a café! On top of that, we received a deplorable welcome. First, they told us we were talking, and I quote, "nonsense" when we placed our order. Then, they practically kicked us out of the dining area and forced us to move outside, even though we were already seated. They claimed they needed to set the tables and only had 30 minutes left (it was 6 pm, and according to them, the first reservations were for 7 pm). I should point out that we were the only ones asked to leave our seats, even though other customers were also seated inside. We didn't get anywhere with the waitress; she didn't question the situation at all. We ended up being yelled at by her supervisor, who literally slammed the door in our faces. Appalling, they should change careers!!! Absolutely avoid this place!!!

21/08/2026: The beautiful setting is what saves the experience. The service was bland, and the toilets were appallingly dirty. The 300g ribeye steak was questionable... but very fatty. The mussels had some unpleasant surprises. In short, a mixed experience. Perhaps I just caught them on a bad night.

23/08/2026: This establishment has refused credit card payments for several years. Is it normal that this is still the case in 2026?! For this reason alone, we refuse to do business with this establishment.

08/08/2026: I don't think the ice cream is homemade because it all tastes the same. However, it's not too bad. Be warned, €1.50 for the cheapest whipped cream in a can is outrageous!

10/08/2026: Unpleasant staff, outdated answering machine, open Wednesday to Saturday, impossible to order on-site, probably too many tourists for them to be polite and respectful. I don't recommend it if you're saving your smile for the evening.

10/08/2026: We received a very warm welcome from the owner and her daughter. We ordered two salads and a medium portion of fries to eat by the sea and thoroughly enjoyed the fresh, high-quality ingredients. The owner, Estelle, is incredibly generous and readily recommended other restaurants in Cayeux. She clearly loves her town!

09/09/2026: It's a shame I have to give one star because this establishment and its staff don't deserve it. Seated on the terrace, we ordered a snack, but when it came time to pay, we were firmly informed that the card wasn't accepted for orders under €10, without any prior notice. Their suggestion: order something else?! I'll let you be the judge of their methods! It's a shame that such practices, and especially the staff's attitude, tarnish the island's image.

02/09/2026: So, unfortunately, we're joining the ranks of the previous negative reviews, and they deserve it. The waitress and the person behind the bar forcefully, with a level of aggression bordering on verbal abuse, insist on paying in cash for two coffees because they only accept cash for amounts under €10. This forces you to ask someone else to pay by running off to find an ATM. This is typical of a tourist trap; if you don't want tourists, you should behave like them. It's a shame for this beautiful island, and thankfully not all businesses are so unpleasant. We absolutely do not recommend it.

13/07/2026: Restaurant to absolutely avoid! There were two of us for dinner: very few varieties of sushi, and what we did have was not fresh, dry spring rolls from the rice paper to the filling, only one choice of nem (egg roll), "prawns" for the wok cooked without being peeled, and inedible desserts! The head waiter greeted us very quickly and reacted annoyed because we weren't ordering wine (we had, however, ordered a cocktail and a bottled drink). Despite everything, we're relieved to have avoided the potentially common food poisoning mentioned in other reviews, but still very disappointed to have wasted our money on this so-called Asian buffet and feel completely ripped off.
