20/06/2024: Galettes tout simplement délicieuses ! Un petit bonus avec le cocktail "ré fresh" On adore !! L'accueil et le service sont chaleureux. Le calme de l'autre côté du port est appréciable. On recommande !

10/09/2024: An oasis of authenticity and tranquility in Boyard town, an excellent surprise after all those crowded restaurants on the marina. A little taste from elsewhere. Excellent tapas as well as a good glass of rosé from Oleron 👍 Very nice service too.

08/09/2024: In a world where everything is becoming standardized, fading and aggressive, it is good to know that such authentic places still exist where you can meet real people without the hypocritical commercial veneer. And not to spoil anything, the food is excellent, homemade, copious and surprising (ah! the candied lemons!...), and the organic wine is entirely recommended. Instead of going to get poisoned in a pizzeria-burger-crêperie, experience Le Bout!

20/08/2024: Drinking good is priceless. The wine selection is top notch. The cuisine is seasonal with a short circuit logic. The place is a hybrid restaurant/cellar. Even if the room is not huge, don't be surprised to get lost there because the choice of bottles is so varied. Eat, drink, support independent business.

14/08/2024: The atmosphere is warm, the service impeccable, and the dishes are simply delicious, from the aperitif board to the cheese platter and the wines… A great place to spend an excellent evening. I highly recommend! We will come back!

21/08/2024: a lot of waiting 1 hour to get the dishes., the flank steak very nervous (small) and lukewarm fries, for dessert no Nut pancake "we'll get them tomorrow" Not even mussels and fries on the menu? except Monday, unlimited mussels and fries but with low quality frozen fries.... Nut waffle or rather disgusting waffle Nut....too much spread. Only 1 place to cash out? his cork... We've been coming, or coming for 10 years.... the time for seafood festivals with tuna carpacio is over.... we feel like we're at the buff restaurant....! the waiters and waitresses do what they can: thank you to them... and I will talk about the snack side which is declining in quality... A few days before, we had been much better served with the roasted Camembert: a delight... the prices are correct or low. (nice fresh fried plate €4 while frozen snack €5 poor quality and quantity)

17/08/2024: Vraiment dépassé par le service ! Aucune posture professionnelle (arrogant)vis a vis de la clientèle ! Heureusement 1 serveuse pour essayer de comprendre la situation (merci à elle) Mais très très déçu avec une situation inimaginable !

12/08/2024: Très bon accueil, produit de bonne qualité. La cuisine a plut aux grands comme aux enfants. Si vous passez sur Royan, je recommande ce petit arrêt.

13/07/2024: Very unfriendly staff, we had our Bromptons with us folded up in the outside area and were told to remove them. We have been visiting restaurants and cafes for 5 years with our Bromptons and never had a problem until we visited here. So we left and wont be going back!!

06/09/2024: Great discovery. Small, intimate and welcoming restaurant. Pleasant service. Only downside, does not accept credit card, not information until payment.

18/08/2024: We love it! The boss goes out of his way to serve everyone quickly! Lots of regulars and it’s nice. There are the grumpy people who don't understand that: well no! You don't come and place your take-out order at the last minute!! And then there are those who only understand the first degree 😂. I recommend the shrimp as a “soup” dish for 2, it’s delicious and very natural!

02/09/2024: While searching the reviews section, I just came across the owner's words ''Homemade bistro'', even though that was precisely what I was going to criticize. Nothing I ate was homemade, neither the shrimp fritters, nor the squid fritters (see photos), nor the sauces served with it, nor the vegetables accompanying the burger (overcooked when requested blue) . However the restaurant made a move on this and offered me the beer. All for around €30 per person, it's way too expensive. However, this restaurant remains practical, but nothing more.

10/09/2024: Very warm welcome, pleasant staff. The food served there is satisfactory for my taste.
