06/09/2026: We had a lovely evening at Au Pied de Bœuf. On a mild summer evening, we were able to sit outside. The terrace was quite busy – so reservations are definitely recommended – but the atmosphere was still pleasant and relaxed. For our starter, we had the escargots, which were perfectly seasoned with herb butter. This was followed by a Salade Niçoise, and for our main courses, the traditional Baeckeoffe and an Angus steak with Béarnaise sauce. The Angus steak, in particular, was wonderfully tender and cooked to perfection. The wine recommendation, a Pinot Gris from Alsace, was also a perfect match for the food. Our only minor criticism: Unfortunately, we weren't informed that the kitchen was closing soon. As a result, we couldn't order dessert, which we had been really looking forward to. Nevertheless, we had a wonderful evening and would gladly return.

17/08/2026: One of the best meals I have ever had the pleasure of enjoying. I was contacted a fortnight in advance to inquire about allergies and preferences, and the chef’s tasting menu offered to me took these into account whilst presenting many welcome surprises. The food was all exceptional in taste, beautifully presented and well-explained. There is an à la carte menu but I recommend asking for the tasting menu as you will have the opportunity to try food you would never ordinarily sample. The sommelier was excellent in providing a flight of wines tailored to my request to explore Alsatian wines. The evening is certainly not a cheap one but should be considered as an experience rather than just a meal - it remains the highlight of my visit to Strasbourg. (As one point of minor feedback, whilst the tasting menu options - 4, 6 or 8 courses - were presented alongside prices, the options for the flight of wine were explained without reference to the price. Although it turned out to be reasonably priced, it would have been useful to be told the price at the time of ordering.) A final mention should go to the cheeseboard, an additional option highly recommended, in particular the 42 month aged Comté, a very rare find. In all, an outstanding meal, and the restaurant deserves far more than one Michelin star. I very much look forward to returning.

12/08/2026: A truly remarkable experience in the heart of Strasbourg. Everything was exquisitely executed, from the precision of the cooking to the subtlety of the flavors. I was particularly captivated by the creative presentation of the appetizers served on a ceramic tree-shaped stand. It's the kind of detail that demonstrates genuine aesthetic sensibility. We had a delightful time, each dish a visual and gustatory discovery. A place to remember for special occasions.

20/08/2026: Doesn't allow children. Too bad, it looked good. It's shameful not to allow customers with children. There was plenty of space inside, even a spot for a stroller without it blocking the aisle. The waiter's only excuse was, "It's too complicated." If you have children, avoid this place.

17/08/2026: We stumbled upon this fantastic crêperie and weren't disappointed at all! The ratatouille Provençale was excellent, and the crêpes cordon bleu and burger were very good and generously filled. The atmosphere was super friendly. We'll definitely be back in the area next time! 😊

13/07/2026: Great experience! We received a very warm welcome, and our guest with reduced mobility was able to access the sheltered terrace. The food was excellent, made with fresh, local produce. Good value for money. It's best to book in advance, especially in the evenings during the summer!

22/08/2026: It's not my style to leave reviews when I'm a little disappointed, so if I'm doing so today, it's solely to inform the establishment, not to criticize them. We were greeted at lunchtime today by the head waiter (I think), who was very unfriendly… and unfortunately, he quickly made me feel uncomfortable because of my 3-month-old baby's stroller. I'm aware that this kind of thing can take up space, and that's precisely why I made sure to place it as close as possible to our table so as not to obstruct the passage. The appetizers weren't even on the table yet when the first comment was made. At that point, I could have just gathered my things and left. But never mind. We ordered. The music was a bit loud for this small room, which served as a passageway to the restrooms and another room, but never mind. The meals arrived, the galettes were very good, but unfortunately the raw vegetables... there was a considerable lack of dressing... and I'm not sure it's a matter of taste... there was practically none. The table next to us made the same observation. (But that's a minor point). I only want to emphasize the service... and I would have understood if there hadn't been room for a stroller in the dining area; in that case, we would have looked for another restaurant. It was my first time dining out with my son. I didn't feel comfortable at all. It's a shame.

14/07/2026: Clearly our favorite restaurant in the area. Always impeccable, both the food and the service. Thank you, we had the perfect table, a little off the beaten path, delicious dishes, a perfect wine—everything you need for a perfect evening. Thank you so much! We'll be back, that's for sure!

01/06/2026: Our annual summer family gathering on the beautiful terrace under the colorful umbrellas is always a feast for the eyes, with real delicacies like the fantastic frog legs and escargots generating pure enthusiasm. What they conjure up in the kitchen is a culinary experience that truly pampers the palate. Only the sometimes delightfully strict service makes us wonder with a twinkle in our eyes whether we should secretly take an etiquette course before next time – but for us, this charming touch has simply become part of the restaurant's cult status!

28/08/2026: We were there on a Friday evening. The tarte flambée and fries were good. However, I ordered a cordon bleu with cream sauce, which was rather bland, and the cordon bleu itself wasn't anything special. The service was also a bit slow, and the waitress wasn't particularly memorable.

31/08/2026: The tarte flambée is baked in a wood-fired oven and tastes wonderful. Despite the restaurant being packed, the staff were extremely friendly. We ate there two days in a row. Good selection of vegetarian dishes.

28/04/2026: We had dinner at Villa Lalique. A magical place. A beautiful, chic establishment… The service was top-notch. We had a five-course menu. The waiters/waitresses in their aprons and skirts were very elegant… Well done! The meal itself was perfect… We especially loved the dessert, which was exceptional. A wonderful experience. Congratulations to the chefs and all the staff who contribute to the establishment's renown… I highly recommend it.

13/09/2026: An incredible ribeye steak with garlic and butter, a sublime burger, and a warm and generous welcome that perfectly reflects the quality of the food. We stumbled upon this place by chance and left completely won over. We highly recommend it! Special mention for the tonka bean-infused rums.
