29/06/2025: The menu's unique feature is that it changes about every six months. This time it was Brittany. 6 starters, 6 main courses, and dessert 🍨. Quite a selection, but don't go at the end of the season, which was my case; not everything was on the menu. The dishes are generous and well-presented. A nice wine list 🍷, though expensive. The wine offered with the Brittany menu was also no longer available 🫤. Service and bill were decent.

25/06/2025: Very good restaurant and very good setting. The daily specials are good. The only downside is that the service is often slow. If like us you only have 1h30 lunch break, I think you should avoid ordering starter, main course, dessert. For example, today we arrived at 12:05 and left at 13:20, we only had time to order a starter, main course, and dessert without coffee. Too bad it's a good place, but it's better to have time. We haven't been coming here for lunch for a while because of this, but this Thursday's cordon rouge is too tempting.

09/12/2025: What a wonderful gem restaurant. Friendly, cozy and delicious food. A great experience for those looking to enjoy the Franco-German traditional food with a lovely staff. We felt like home sharing a delicious meal with friends. We recommend reservations. The creme brulee was phenomenal!

08/12/2025: On a friend's recommendation, we came here for lunch as a family (6 adults, a 2.5-year-old, and a 5-month-old baby) while exploring the Alsatian Christmas markets, and we had a wonderful time! The atmosphere was warm, the decor authentic, the waitress incredibly friendly and helpful, the food delicious, and the portions generous. I highly recommend it!

29/08/2024: L’endroit fait de ce restaurant un piège à touriste. À part de tourner comme des hélices, sans connaître l’emplacement des tables. Trois tentatives de nous servir l’apéritif que nous avions commandé ! Les serveurs doivent avoir l’interdiction de sourire. Vraiment tous crispés ! Aucun plaisir..!! Les tartes flambées étaient bonnes, à voir les assiettes de nos voisins, cela avait l’air bon et bien servi. C’est certain on n’y retournera pas !

09/12/2024: Thomasian: Alsace is thematically good! A great discovery in the heart of Strasbourg! Le Thomasien offers a typically Alsatian experience in a warm and authentic atmosphere. The cuisine is generous and delicious, with perfectly executed regional specialties. Special mention for their tasty sauerkraut and crispy tartes flambées, all accompanied by a Christmas muscat and a little Riesling. The service is very professional, friendly and attentive, which adds to the pleasure of the meal. An essential address for those who want to taste the flavors of Alsace in a friendly atmosphere.

18/10/2025: Tradition is played to the fullest: the interior and exterior architecture, the decor, the service, and the cuisine. Except that for the cuisine, tradition should be respected a little better, for example by using real cheese in the cordon bleu and not a flavorless, ready-to-melt industrial cheese, and by cooking the meat properly to avoid it being so dry. This is all the more frustrating since the cordon bleu is one of the "must-haves" on the menu. The onion purée tart is good for those who like this recipe (which is not my case), but it's because of it that I'm not giving it a 1. In short, we are very, very disappointed. I would add that the dining room is particularly noisy; my husband and I would have liked to know sign language to communicate.

25/01/2025: First time at “La cuisine d’Antan” and certainly not the last. The menu and suggestions are tempting and we want to taste everything! The setting, first of all, original due to its historical and architectural aspect (old malthouse having withstood the horrors of the Second World War), perfectly rehabilitated, making the place cozy. The staff then: top notch! very professional, helpful and in a good mood. We immediately feel at ease. Finally, the table: an excellent cocktail "My sweetness", a tarte flambée with "homemade" products - right down to the smoking of the bacon - equally excellent, then the veal cordon bleu, Vosges for my part, top-notch! We have rarely eaten a cordon bleu of such quality. Really a very good restaurant, with good value for money. Go there with your eyes closed!

29/06/2025: I would like to thank the entire restaurant team. Everything went well during the meal. The staff was very welcoming, the food was delicious (I recommend the sauerkraut 😁), and the service was fast and very helpful in heating up my baby's food. It's possible to bring a stroller; there's enough room if necessary 😁 I recommend this establishment without hesitation 😁 (My rating concerns the restaurant, as I didn't need to rent a room.)
