As an added bonus, you'll find a friendly atmosphere and receive a warm welcome. I highly recommend it. If you're hungry and want a good meal, book your table early as this restaurant is small. Ideal for a couple.

11/07/2026: Saturday evening, July 5th, marked my 113th visit to the Royal Palace in Kirrwiller, coinciding with my birthday. This speaks volumes about the special and unique place this establishment holds for me. A loyal patron since the early 2010s, I've enjoyed around a hundred meals at the music hall and attended virtually all the major revues of recent years. Passionate about the Royal Palace and music hall revues in general, I'm also part of the Cabaret World community's administration team, which now boasts over 44,000 enthusiasts on social media. Needless to say, I approach each new production with high expectations… and Parfum d'Étoiles, the 45th anniversary revue, far exceeded them. The Royal Palace has always had this ability to reinvent itself, but this new production took things to another level. From the very first minutes, you understand that you're about to experience much more than just a show: as always, it was a true artistic adventure where each scene tells a story and where emotions are as prominent as the performance itself. If I had to sum up Parfum d'Étoiles in a few words, I would say it was moving, surprising, touching, funny, spectacular, and profoundly human. The characters who populate the show are endearing, sometimes quirky, but always authentic, and they give the revue a real identity. You grow attached to them as the scenes unfold, and they become the guiding thread of a journey filled with poetry. The staging is simply exceptional. It rivals the biggest international productions and, in its scale and creativity, is reminiscent of the shows you might see in Las Vegas. The transitions are remarkably fluid, the special effects are used intelligently, the lighting enhances every moment, and the pacing is perfectly controlled from beginning to end. The costumes deserve special mention. They are incredibly rich, exquisitely elegant, and a testament to a colossal amount of work. Some scenes are simply breathtaking in their striking visual beauty. Each appearance elicits reactions of wonder from the audience. The performers are, as always, extraordinary. The dancers display impressive precision, the singers bring a great deal of emotion, and the international artists deliver performances of an exceptional caliber. But what truly makes this revue so powerful is its balance: technique never overshadows emotion. Each number has a soul and conveys something meaningful. After 113 visits, I thought I knew the Royal Palace like the back of my hand. Yet, I was still surprised. I laughed, I was moved, I was amazed, I experienced a thrill... This probably best sums up the philosophy of this company: to succeed, year after year, in continuing to surprise its audience, even its regulars. The Royal Palace is not just a music hall; it's an institution, a place where excellence has become a hallmark over the decades. Behind this success lies the remarkable work of over a hundred people: artists, technicians, costume designers, composers, and the front-of-house, catering, and service teams. Each contributes to making every evening an exceptional experience. For its 45th anniversary, the Royal Palace presented a revue that will undoubtedly be among the most memorable in its history. "Parfum d'Étoiles" (Scent of Stars) lives up to its name: you leave with stars in your eyes… and only one desire: to return as soon as possible. 09/07/2026: It's always a pleasure to eat at La Couronne. Friendly service, very pretty setting, generous portions, I go back regularly and am never disappointed. Just this time the service was a little slower than usual; the children had to wait a bit for their food.

06/07/2026: Attention vegetarian friends, the vegetarian option offered at the time of booking is simply a reorder of all the dishes without meat or fish, with nothing to compensate for the missing flavors (let alone vegan, it's not an option). Aside from that, it's excellent, including the wines, the service is very friendly, and the atmosphere is cozy.

28/05/2026: My wife and I opted for the 'Piece de Boucher'. We had the chance to try both sauces served alongside it, and both added a wonderful touch to the flavor of the meat. The quality of the meat was excellent, and it was a very filling dish, served with fries and salad. We definitely recommend it!

26/07/2026: Thursday, July 23, 2026 Lunch for four people - 65 Euros per person Beautiful house located on the banks of the Canal des Houilleres in a peaceful and bucolic setting. Minimal welcome, restrained and unfriendly this Thursday. Feverish service. If, as announced, a set menu is requested, all guests must agree on the same menu for everyone. To choose freedom and share tastes and preferences, we can all order à la carte. We chose the set menu for the table, which allows for individual adjustments if you opt for fish, increasing the price by 20% or more if you prefer the cheese course to dessert. The directive order-taking, with a stern expression, was pleasantly softened by the smile of an attentive young waitress who brought us the aperitif. Muscat, Crémant, and Pinot Noir by the glass were Excellent. An aperitif/cocktail/non-alcoholic wine would be welcome. The wine list offers reasonable prices and a selection by the glass that fairly represents different regions and grape varieties. Beautiful tableware and perfect timing of service; the presentation of the dishes will please the eye and delight those who feed their smartphones. Fresh starters with soothing flavors. No quick cooking here. The main courses, cooked slowly and meticulously (sous vide?), ensure a tender veal rump, but a somewhat muted flavor. Those who appreciate pronounced aromas, flavorful roasted notes, and olfactory pleasures will find it difficult to satisfy. The chef was kind enough to inform us if he practices batch cooking. The dishes are accompanied by a plethora of ramekins offering mousses, purées, sabayons, and concassés, omitting fresh vegetables. The dessert Morello cherries on shortbread win the day with their indulgent flavors. Reasonable prices - around 65 Euros per person. Many will praise the concept, but the somewhat stiff atmosphere, menu, and service during our visit, along with an optimized cooking method that masked certain flavors, left us with a mixed impression that only partially reflected the proverbial warmth, generosity, authenticity, and spirit of sharing that are the soul of the gastronomy of this beautiful region of Alsace.
