26/01/2026: From the moment you step inside, you feel like you're in a unique place. A warm welcome and smiling staff. The restaurant has a refined atmosphere. You're seated in comfortable chairs. Even when full, there's a relaxed atmosphere with a low noise level. The service is seamless, and the staff's professionalism is evident. The cuisine is surprising, and you're swept away by the diverse flavors of the dishes offered. This is one of my best experiences in Schiltigheim. It's a restaurant I highly recommend. Thank you to the entire team.

05/01/2026: The setting was very noisy, both due to the large tables and the sounds of kitchen cleaning. The dining room was clean. The service was adequate. The food was good and well-presented, but the sauces were very sweet, and overall, the experience didn't live up to the prices. Don't go there for a romantic dinner.

12/02/2026: A truly wonderful experience at Restaurant Zimmer in La Wantzenau. We enjoyed an excellent dinner in a refined and welcoming setting. The cuisine is perfectly executed, showcasing high-quality ingredients with precision and finesse. Each dish is meticulously presented, both in terms of its aesthetic appeal and the balance of flavors. Special mention goes to the frog legs, a real highlight: perfectly cooked, delicately seasoned, and with a melt-in-your-mouth texture—a truly indulgent experience. The attentive and professional service completes this exceptional culinary experience. A must-visit for lovers of fine dining in Alsace.

They offer suggestions and guidance when you order. You feel like a guest in someone's home, not in a restaurant. The music is fantastic, the atmosphere is lively but intimate; the people are sincere and friendly 👏🏼 If you're in Strasbourg, this is definitely a place you shouldn't miss. A very enjoyable experience. It's a good idea to make a reservation before you go 🌿

16/01/2026: We were fortunate enough to discover Thierry Schwartz's restaurant during the holiday season, a moment made all the more precious as my parents had come especially from Ukraine to spend the holidays with us. Everything was absolutely remarkable: the finesse of the dishes, the perfect balance of flavors, the respect for the ingredients, and that emotion one feels when cuisine is sincere and heartfelt. Each plate told a story, with great skill but above all, with a great deal of soul. The welcome and service were on par with the cuisine: warm, attentive, without ever being intrusive. We experienced a timeless moment, one that my parents will cherish for a long time. A rare, genuine, and profoundly human gastronomic experience. Thank you for this unforgettable memory.

04/01/2026: We feel compelled to share our honest feedback following our visit on New Year’s Eve. We have dined at numerous Michelin-starred restaurants around the world, but this was the first time we have paid €920 for an experience so poor that we chose to leave before the menu was completed. We arrived on New Year’s Eve to a beautifully lit main room with a fireplace, and we were initially welcomed with smiles. Unfortunately, this was where the positive experience ended. 1. Reservation and temperature Our reservation was not found upon arrival, despite having both a confirmed booking and having prepaid. After insisting, we were escorted to a back room that was freezing cold. It was so cold that I discreetly used my scarf as a blanket; the butter was completely solid, and multiple tables asked for blankets or kept their coats or jackets on. When we mentioned the temperature, the waitress stated that the room was 28°C, which was clearly not true. 2. Atmosphere and setting The room itself felt more like an industrial space than a dining room: harsh lighting, no windows (blocked), no music, no fireplace, and 4 tables in complete silence. Guests whispered, no one felt comfortable speaking, and we sat for four hours in an uncomfortable, tense quiet broken only by creaking floorboards. It was the opposite of a warm or festive New Year’s Eve atmosphere. 3. Food execution While the raw ingredients were of high quality, the execution was deeply disappointing. Bread, chips, and most dishes lacked salt. Many plates arrived cold, including the Wagyu. Course after course featured cold or lukewarm cream-based elements. I enjoy truffles greatly, but here they seemed to compensate for dishes that were otherwise bland, cold, and uninspired. The bread was lukewarm, with a decent crust but an underbaked interior. We left a significant amount of food on our plates, yet no one asked why. 4. Wine pairing and service We ordered the wine pairing, but most wines were poured after the food had already been served. Overall, the pairing was unconvincing, and several glasses were barely touched. No one asked whether something was wrong; glasses were simply cleared and replaced without comment. After approximately three-quarters of the menu, we simply could not justify staying longer in the cold and asked for the bill. A waiter asked why we were leaving; we explained that the experience, food, wine, and temperature had made the evening unenjoyable. His response was simply, “Would you like dessert?” The moment felt surreal—almost like a silent, poorly staged play. To conclude, even retrieving my coat became problematic, as not all items could initially be found in the cloakroom. We ultimately paid €920 for a menu we did not have the energy or desire to complete. This level of service, execution, and overall experience is something I have never encountered at a restaurant claiming Michelin standards. It was not worth the cost - but more importantly, it was a deeply disappointing evening that we sincerely hope someone will take seriously and act upon. We sent this feedback to the restaurant in an email. Given the level of disconnect we experienced in both service and execution throughout the evening, I do not realistically expect a response to this email. We can see that they have open the email, but we never got a response.

02/01/2026: After many years, we visited this restaurant again, which recently changed ownership. We were warmly greeted by the server, who spoke perfect German. The menu offers much more than the usual fare, and the prices are reasonable. The dishes are beautifully presented, delicious, and generously portioned. Many wines are available by the glass. A perfect lunch...nothing more needs to be said. It won't be years before we return.

01/02/2026: We were a group of friends. We ordered, among other things, two cordon bleu. Both arrived raw. The only compensation offered was two free coffees. What a shame. Mistakes happen, and that's not the point. The important thing is what you do with it afterward. A real blunder! The waitress who served us during the first part of our meal, however, was very pleasant and helpful! 🙏🏻

05/12/2025: This was a real find - having had a poor experience at the Dubliners pub round the corner, I was delighted to receive a proper welcome from friendly staff at What The Fox. I met some friends here and we had a great time - so much so that I returned the following night. It was very different, being full to bursting on a football night - however the cheerful staff ensured that everyone had a good time and a plentiful supply of beer!

08/01/2026: We reserved a table by phone in broken French and were then greeted very warmly in German. We both ordered the Monday special menu and were absolutely delighted. The quality was outstanding and the price very fair. In Munich, we would easily have paid twice as much. The desserts were fantastic and the portions very generous. One would have been enough to share. 😊 A visit is definitely highly recommended!
