27/08/2024: Excellent restaurant, friendly and warm welcome, original and tasty dishes, our lunch at the beginning of August was such a treat that we returned quickly to taste the dishes on the dinner menu. Go there without hesitation, you will not be disappointed.

23/08/2024: Don’t hesitate, it’s THE place to be! First we find ourselves smiling when reading the card...nice play on words. Then we salivate when discovering the contents and finally we travel with our taste buds in turmoil. Beautiful combinations of flavors, quality products, in a pleasant setting and service with a smile. All for a decent budget given the quality. Thank you for this moment.

19/09/2024: Clean and quiet hotel, very friendly and helpful staff. Quality breakfast, although a little expensive. The spa is perfect! Perfect geographical location, with transport right next door, and easy access to the motorway. Nothing to complain about, we'll come back!

18/09/2024: Good hotel, we had chosen it exclusively for access to the SPA, but it was emptied following a technical problem that occurred the day before so the water was 20°, even the less cautious among us did not stay there any longer of 5 min.. the saunas were also far from the indicated temperatures. Given the situation (for which no one is responsible), a commercial gesture would have been the least we could do because we paid for this access to the spa. This was not done despite us reporting our dissatisfaction to reception. So, without a SPA, you might as well take another 4 star which will be much cheaper.

Encore une fois tout ceci fut merveilleux sans un service chaleureux et très sympathique, sans être trop présent... Un grand MERCI pour ce moment gastronomique hors du temps...

30/11/2024: À la limite de la malhonnêteté... Mon conjoint a acheté un bon cadeau pour m'offrir un dîner chez Thierry Schwartz à Noël l'année dernière en précisant tout de même que je ne pourrais pas en profiter immédiatement car nous attendions un bébé... La personne qui lui fait le bon précise que le bon est valable 6 mois mais que la date sera flexible en fonction de la situation mais finalement lorsque je rappelle en septembre, impossible de réserver ! J'explique la situation et attends pendant quasiment 2 semaines une réponse. Finalement la responsable "en personne" me rappelle en m'expliquant que nous avons tous des moments de vie particuliers mais que ca ne change rien à la date de validité de mon bon. Mon conjoint a dépensé la modique somme de 400 euros dans le vide et nous conseillons à toute personne qui voudrait offrir un bon cadeau dans un restaurant de se tourner vers un établissement plus humain, chaleureux et honnête que celui-ci !

11/12/2025: We always have a pleasant evening at this restaurant. Sylvia serves us with professionalism and kindness. The only downside: no Diet Coke. The Alsatian Cola is just a mediocre substitute!

11/12/2025: What can I say...sometimes when a restaurant disappoints us, we still find something positive, but this time...we found no equal in mediocrity (4 different starters and 4 different main courses), all equally bland and cold. I won't even dwell on the service...do you feel any satisfaction in your work, or is the only satisfaction the one of filling the cash register?

08/12/2024: We stayed two nights to go to the Christmas markets, without a doubt a great choice for location and price (and waking up among mountains). A family hotel, without great luxuries but with a lot of charm. Spectacular dinner and breakfast. So much so that we repeated both nights. To add a drawback… I missed a hair dryer in the rooms. If in doubt, I would return ☺️

08/12/2024: Coming back from Haut Koeninsburg we spotted this restaurant whose ratings gave a good impression. We stopped to eat there and were very well received in a restaurant with pleasant decor Unfortunately the cuisine is not at all up to par with the starter of snails with oyster mushrooms, much too salty And above all royal sauerkraut as a dish An unimaginable horror in Alsace, poorly rinsed cabbage still full of sour brine, potatoes hard because not cooked and meat 2 sausages, a Creole blood sausage and a white blood sausage. Deplorable opinion given still paying (100€ all the same) we were told that the acidity came from the lemon and the white wine Amazing Let's hope it was a chef passing through or flee this restaurant Damage

28/11/2024: We recently had dinner in a charming chalet where we tasted pierade. The atmosphere was really great, with a warm and friendly atmosphere. However, the service did not meet our expectations. When we asked for duck, we were kindly informed that it was beef or nothing. This tarnished our experience a bit. Despite this, the pie was delicious and the setting was definitely worth it. I recommend this restaurant for the ambiance, but I hope they improve their service in the future. Don’t hesitate to adjust the details according to your feelings!

20/01/2025: In my humble opinion, it seems that Yvonne left the barracks a long time ago. Aside from the bread, which was okay, the snail starter was a disappointment. As for the rooster, it looked more like a small chicken, with frail, not very juicy and thin legs, accompanied by soft and characterless spätzle. The dessert was unable to save the experience: a rum baba which looked more like a muffin drowned in average quality rum. Industrial meringue buried under layers of cream with a scoop of ordinary vanilla ice cream for 12 euros. Frankly, I struggle to understand how this restaurant is still in the guide. He gave me the impression of a tourist trap who, once upon a time, undoubtedly enjoyed a certain reputation. Furthermore, seeing several empty tables on a Friday evening is hardly reassuring and confirms my impressions. And 120-125 euros for two people! and as we are stupidly polite we left a 7 euro tip to rub salt in the wound.

19/11/2025: The inn is well located, we received a very warm welcome from the owners and staff. Breakfasts and meals were plentiful and very good, the rooms were adequate, and we had an excellent stay. We highly recommend this inn. Francis and Nicole from Vendée

16/11/2025: Visit to the delicious restaurant without an overnight stay, as it was fully booked. A wonderful tip in a very cozy atmosphere. Inviting – from the country inn feel to the friendly animals. "Home-style cooking – excellent with very friendly service and a very fair price-performance ratio. We'll gladly come again!"

16/12/2024: It’s ok but a bit exaggerated. In Christmas period it is impossibile to make a reservation for one month as it is fully booked. Setting is nice, food nothing exceptional. Not a big loss if you can’t make it.

16/12/2024: Great time spent in this very warm restaurant, everything you need when you have spent the evening in the cold. The boss managed to advance my reservation even though the restaurant was full, he did his best and with a smile. The server from the north, he will recognize himself, gave us a very good time. Thanks to the team. We will come back to see you next year.
