26/01/2026: A superb stay! The room was spacious and the recently renovated relaxation/spa area was very pleasant. We were delighted by the excellent cuisine and impeccable service. Breakfast was also fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed it. A superb place to stay.

08/12/2025: I am so happy my wife found this place. It is the perfect retreat from the madness of the Christmas markets in Strasbourg and surrounds. You can escape to this quiet village and have a fabulous meal, served by a very friendly and attentive staff. I would come back here in a heartbeat.

15/02/2026: We had a wonderful time at Au Cheval Noir. We were at a lovely table with young children, received a very warm welcome, and the staff were absolutely delightful. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals, and the cocktails were delicious. We highly recommend this restaurant.

05/02/2026: Honestly, I left feeling disgusted, there's no other word for it. The sautéed potatoes were cold, swimming in oil, the fried potatoes were cold, and the beef tartare was unheard of: minced meat + mayonnaise + nothing else, no pickles, no Tabasco, it was swimming in mayonnaise. A disgrace, honestly.

02/02/2026: A menu with plenty of choice. Excellent food, both for the main course and dessert, with generous portions. And fast, friendly service. A very good place that I highly recommend.

19/01/2026: A charming, slightly old-fashioned restaurant, no frills or unnecessary frills, just simple and practical. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The real surprise is the menu. A small menu, just the way I like it, the dishes are of very high quality and the portions are generous. After an excellent Foie Gras with Cream of Pumpkin, we continued with Hare Fillet and Pheasant Fillet. We didn't have room for dessert. We had a wonderful time indulging our taste buds. Thank you and congratulations to the chef.

07/02/2026: The sauerkraut was too dry. My wife's meat was overcooked; the cook clearly doesn't know how to cook meat properly. So, this is a place I won't be returning to. This is already the second time...

21/02/2026: What a disappointment and it doesn't resemble a Winstud in any way...not even a respectable brasserie...the worst tartare I've ever eaten...I thought a casino should take care of its customers...well, I was wrong.

16/01/2026: If you don't know the traditions of the French, this is not the place for you. If you want to be served quickly, go into the establishment and wait until the waiter comes to you (2-3 minutes) and ask (politely) if there are any free seats, then sit down and order whatever you like. We ordered the signature soup, one with cheese, the other without, both were delicious, thank you!

16/01/2026: Great restaurant right in the heart of Strasbourg. We were warmly welcomed by the staff, who were friendly and attentive throughout the meal. The atmosphere is lively, cozy, and very authentic. The menu offers a nice variety of traditional French dishes. We tried the choucroute Tire-Bouchon, which was really delicious, full of flavor, very authentic, and served in a generous portion. Definitely something you should try. We also had the escalope de volaille, which was good as well. Overall, a very good experience with great food and a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended!

02/02/2026: Unacceptable dish. Ridiculous portion, burnt, dry, and tasteless shrimp. Paying €26 for this is simply highway robbery. No skill in the kitchen, no respect for the customer. Totally exorbitant price for such poor quality. Avoid at all costs.

23/01/2026: A wonderful discovery! A charming restaurant with friendly and competent staff (a rarity these days). The rather classic dishes were perfectly executed with high-quality ingredients. The presentation was clean and elegant. We had a fantastic time and highly recommend it. Congratulations to the chefs and servers!

18/07/2025: A pleasant surprise, a presentation of the room as on the terrace worthy of a large restaurant, the welcome very pleasant and very friendly, we immediately feel at ease. I highly recommend this restaurant, even if the trains are often present when we are on the terrace, I find that it is a detail especially when we are observed by the parrot and the toucan above our head, lol.
